This episode suggests that Dracula hasn't fed in a while, probably since he got married. And in honor of her memory continues to starve himself. God brand is the one that brings it up, meaning it is probably well known (he is an idiot, I doubt he would be the first to know anything) YET, every single vampire still fears him enough to call him master, and bow to his wishes. Dracula is a fucking problem.

The Belmont Portrait you just saw is Leon Belmont, the very first Belmont.
He is very acquainted with Dracula when he wasn't Dracula.
This is not a spoiler because it wasn't mentioned at all in the Netflix series, just a small trivia.

If you guys recall in the past episodes, the implication was Hector got tired of the abuse from his parents and burned them alive in the home. We heard the dialogue while he was staring at the fireplace.

You know, I've rewatched this series a couple times, and I've seen some people react to it too, but I just now noticed here that when Alucard was looking at the case of vampire skulls, I'd always thought there was something odd about the one in the middle that he seemed to be looking at but like it just now clicked in my head that it didn't look like malshaped like I thought, it looked *small.* That was a baby's or young child vampire's skull. Like, no wonder he told Sypha he didn't find any of this interesting, I would have been disturbed and I'm not a vampire. I feel super blind now though

Carmilla is a force to be reckoned with!
While she has her own plans, she made a valid point about wanting to survey the Belmont family home. She correctly chose to try and manipulate Hector over Isaac (Hector being a literal man-child in personality, making him easier to deal with), and she took advantage of Godbrand's weakness for lust to learn where Dracula's castle was located before she "joined" the war council.

6:00 Simon Belmont is Trevor's future son. Not going to say more than that even though you've probably figured out the rest by now. If they ever made a series about Simon, that'd be pretty crazy. He's not as crafty or versatile as Trevor, but among the Belmonts, he's known as being a monster of a physical specimen.

his family beat him nearly to death and disowned him, and he in turn became something of a Hermit that they were too afraid to approach because he surrounded himself with reanimated beasts.
Lisa was also a much easier target as she wasn't ACTUALLY a witch. (though Alucard would've butchered everyone present at her execution if she hadn't begged him not to (that's who she was talking to, he was on the roof top watching it happen).

wait so since they do name drop LEON belmont in this show, does that mean dracula is IN FACT MATHIAS!!! that makes sense as to why he refers to lisa's death as the SECOND betrayal, because mathias in lament of innocence did what he did with walter, BECAUSE he felt god had betrayed him when his first wife died of sickness, so he made a deal with death to trap walter bernhardts soul in the crimson stone giving him immortality and unfathomable power, fun fact, the ebony stone is why the forest around castle dracula is ALWAYS night time, granted that effect isn't in this anime, so it's highly likely 90 percent of lament of innocence story isn't in here either

Alucard seeing the Belmont library as the 'how to kill vampires collection' is really telling and yet we don't get this line of thinking/belief much if at all through the rest of the series. Yes, he's going to kill his father and any/all those siding with him that he can (including other vampires).
That's what he's stopping: genocide. He is disgusted with the very notion of killing an entire species. Yes, he hates the humans responsible for murdering his mother. And that's it, he doesn't want all of humanity to die. It's the same with vampires in the place of humans, at least for seemingly only this part for some stupid reason. He hates that his paternal species' extinction is being sought by certain humans. He just wants peace, for both vampires and humans to live happily and peacefully.
(And for some idiotic reason, the value of vampires is just cast aside later in the show. It becomes paramount with Lenore at the end.)
Tragically, Carmilla just confirms the cleace: crazy hot anime honies, are just PLAIN crazy.
