sunday has grown on me a lot as a character. at first, i didn’t think too much of him. but as i progressed through the story, i realized how much of a good character he is. i love how he has so much depth and layers within him - he feels like such a multidimensional character, much so than some other character in the game (i feel the penacony cast as a whole has introduced characters that feel multidimensional, but for me, sunday has the most layers). i especially love how he’s very compassionate and caring to those around him, especially to vulnerable groups of people. his big heart and overall nurturing personality is what i found really touching. and even after all he’s been through, he’s still someone who’s very thoughtful and nurturing to those around him - with how he was giving foods and drinks to the AE crew, offering to massage pom-pom, and even offering to sing us a lullaby. i do also appreciate how the game explored a darker side of such a nurturing personality, with sunday also being pessimistic and even condescending to those around them regarding their well-being and safety. though, that is definitely due to the grooming and manipulation by gopher wood and just being alone/lonely without any other family or friends. and it is something he is definitely trying to grow out of. his desire to grow and improve himself, while still seeking out a way to help the masses, is so nice to see. i really look forward to seeing more growth for him. i especially hope to see that he learns to prioritize his own well-being as well, to put himself first when needed, and to especially gain more friends and found family throughout his journey.
Sunday is such an amazing character. Probably the most growth in any character in Penacony. Honestly, in my opinion, the entire game thus far. He was one that had the world in his hands. Wants to make a paradise that everyone will be happy, but was sort of groomed by Gopher Wood to be the one to just be a sacrifice for the world. In turn, made wrong decisions on how they should live. We know the rest..but I'm happy Sunday can now learn how to grow even more on his new journey and hope to find his own paradise. While he still has to repent for what he did, he can still strive to grow and learn now to lean on others for guidance. I've said too much, but I just love Sunday WAY too much.
first off, thanks for this compilation! i was really needing some sunday vibes after coding all day, so i popped in my earbuds to listen... only to pass out like 30 minutes in XD just woke up and decided to write this while i’m still half-asleep lol okay so in the beginning, sunday was giving such smug, cunning energy-like all those little chuckles and awkward laughs? bro was definitely trying to put on a front. but then you hit moments like 24:10 and especially the childhood flashback at 26:10, and you’re like, ohhh, this guy is deep. he’s such a complex character, basically a martyr, sacrificing himself for this “ideal dream” he has for everyone. like, he’s not a full-on villain but also not completely innocent either. gopher wood really messed him up, and him as the Bronze Melodia just showed him how messed up the world can be. but by v2.7? omg his growth is insane. him going back to Penacony and living like a “regular mortal” is honestly such a huge step for him. like, wow. give this man some therapy but also a gold star for effort. his development has been chef’s kiss ✨ i could keep going on about his arc, but imma stop before i turn this into a whole essay lol (it already is, isn't it?). also, can we talk about his voice??? it’s so soothing, i swear i could listen to it for hours (okay, technically i did fall asleep to it, but still 😂). maybe i’m biased ‘cause i loved his va (Griffin Puatu) back when they did the english dub for Beastars, but sunday’s voice is just... ugh, perfect. the regal vibes, the formal mannerisms, the tone is just, perfect. gosh. now about him joining the Astral Express, i really hope he’s staying for good. i mean, Hoyo didn’t add the hidden astral ticket texture onto his texture map for nothing, right? like, no way Hoyo’s doing that just to snatch it back later. his whole “healing and finding a new purpose” thing feels perfect for the Trailblaze path. plus, he’s got voicelines for all the AE members? that’s a lot of effort for someone who’s supposedly temporary 👀 anyway, that’s all i got for now. i just really, really love sunday on so many levels. like bro had to grow up way too fast, and i feel that deep in my soul. no one’s taking him from me, he’s locked in my room now 😤😂 again, thanks for uploading this! would love to hear your thoughts too, Velynda~ (oh also u might recognise me from ur previous videos, i've been simping like crazy, just recently changed my yt profile-)

I feel the same way honestly I love his character so much and this is a set into the right direction for him (I also hope he will become a permanent member because bro is living the Nameless life already like just give him the ticket!) When making this you can see the difference and how the curtain of his true self and his goals just rises up Even his voice tone has subtle changes it's soooo goodddd And no problem ! He is the best written character of the game, seriously. I don't have much experience in gatcha but he is the most multidimensional character I ever encountered. The complexity and depth of his character. The impact his upbringing had on him, his idealistic noble vision twisted to a harmful parody of it by the ambition of others and his own pride and shortsightedness. The fact that he is so self-aware but also demanding and hateful towards himself to the point of self-harm. It looks like he has no self love and all his positive feelings are directed outwards. He literally wanted to sacrifice himself to make his sister's and his own dream to come true. He took it all on himself. He is a person with severe trauma that cannot be resolved in one day. But I do hope we will have a chance to see his process of healing in the game. I hope the developers won't abandon him at some point because such character has a strong potential for creating plots around his own person as side quests and such of his road to growth and regaining the love for himself again. And what is a better place to do that than the Astral Express with his big family of supportive and understanding people who also experienced their own hardships in life? Sunday is also an extremely relatable character and I wonder if this wasn't the aim of developers to add someone that players who were through a lot could relate to and be inspired. Maybe its a naive thought but I do experience it with him. He is highly inspiring character and I am looking forward to learning more about his adventures in the future.
