- A totally random day in the life as I run errands, take you thrifting, make French Crepes, quilt some, scrub some and we go out for dinner. Enjoy!
I am doing the #30daywalkchallenge for the #michaeljfoxfoundation for Parkinsons Research. If you want to donate a small amount towards research, please visit my Instagram account and check the Foundation link under my posts. Thank you for considering helping this worthy cause. When your kid still drops home just because you know you did good x
Sophia, that dragonfly quilt is just so beautiful! I love day in the life videos. Hope you are having a great week!
You're welcome, thanks for sending them so fast. Ps...that dragon fly quilt is gorgeous! You are rock starring with that quilt. 🎉
My husband cleans the bottom of copper pots with Campbells tomato soup, right out of the can.
Oh dear lord those crepes look amazing. I also love savoury ones
I love your day in the life videos 😊
Love the quilt !!!!
Wow, Sophia, that quilt is beautiful!
My Finnish pancakes resemble crepes we love them! I am getting ready to start another quilt soon, I have prepped my garden for spring and summer! I am working on my raised planter now just finished my tree stump garden used cinderblocks filled with herbs the rest I will fill with marigolds! Happy DITL thanks for sharing!
Sophia, I enjoyed this video. I am retired and live my life through watching you as a family and the guys growing up. Thank you for sharing. I also have been inspired enough to quilt and use a hammer.
I cook pancakes for the kids at school every Wednesday morning.
They are not crepes, but they are still yummy, so they tell me. Sometimes they take them without a plate and call them handwarmers!😂
Hello from Farmington NM 😊
The quilt is going to be very beautiful after all of it is assembled together. The guys all look good 😂 growing up so fast. I thought crepes were difficult but it’s not.
Thank you for sharing all the things.
❤❤❤❤ Sophia, you can do all things.. amazing!!! Love “day in the life” videos
You are so easy to watch. You are very genuine and you have such a lovely family. Just felt that I should let you know!
Thank you so much 🙂
Hope you and your family are having a good week. ❤ from Ireland.
Mmmmmm patty melts are my favourite. Also love crepes.
Superb!!! 👏👏👏👏👏
LOVE your new opening Sophia!
Your crepes are similar to what we make on pancake day ( Shrove Tuesday). We like ours with sugar and lemon juice.
I can assure you I never wonder why things don't get done because I am too busy wondering how you manage to expand time to fit as much in as you do!!
Growing up your house was filled with good smells and you've done the same for your family. One day, when you have time, would you please tell us more about your grandmother?❤
That would be cool I love family history
All family history is on Patreon. I do not share on youtube.
@@mygreatchallenge that's understandable x
Sophia, I inherited my mother's revearweare and always wanted to know what would clean it up like that .I will have to remember that pink stuff 💗
I love BUCKWHEAT PANCAKES. A few years ago I ordered them at I Hop, the cook came out to see who asked for buckwheat 😂😂😂
No one asks for them any mores The server didn’t even know what they were
Thanks for letting us have a peak of your day. I know it was fun to share a taste of your childhood with the family on a random afternoon.
I use SOS pads on the copper bottom and it works great!
I grew up on crepes. My parents were from Canada. We usually ate them rolled up with brown sugar, or powdered sugar or syrup. I usually do syrup with either brown or powered sugar. So good. Loved your grandmothers trick to keep them warm🥰
I hope the weather gets warmer for you soon! That being said since you northerners are getting cold weather still we southerners are get cooler whether than usual this year. It usually really hot by now. We’ve only had to turn a/c on like 3 or 4 times this year. Today it is 77 and breezy! But it is supposed to be 92 on Thursday 🥴
Hi, Michele!!
The Pink Stuff is the same stuff as Quick'n Brite which was a hype years ago so nothing new.😂
Sophia, your quilt is looking lovely. I really enjoy making crepes. It was one of the first snack desserts I learned to make as a child. We eat ours barely warm and put fresh raspberries and Chantilly cream in ours. I loved seeing the old cookbooks, they bring back memories for me. Congratulations on having four sales in one go. May you have many more.
Thank you for sharing you daily life with us. I always enjoy your videos and cant wait next.
I cleaned my revere ware with ketchup. Spread it on, let it sit for a few minutes, wiped it around, rinsed and washed. Turned out so pretty. I was at my Mom’s one evening and that’s all I could think to use. Now they (3 pans) are hanging on the wall to be used and admired!
The crepes look great!
Oh Sofia you have inspired me to make crepes my granddaughter loves them she is now 20. I love spinach pie I make them at home. Thanks for inspiring me ❤
That is awesome! O never made a spinach pie. I love them too.
I love to watch your day in the life videos Sophia ❤
Such a wonderful vlog. I love errand day. It feels that so much has gotten accomplished and off my list.
I couldn't believe you Sophia, you even made time tor quilting, making crepes qnd scrubbing the copper pots all before dinner.
I admire you so much!!!
Lovely to see you out for family dinner. The food of looked delicious. Definitely wish one of the bakery desserts had my name on it.
My Swedish grandmother made for breakfast. Vanilla in it and lingonberry jam with milk for inside. Yum I haven't had them in years.
I've only had crepes once, at a little restaurant in Jerome Arizona, they were made with homemade apricot jam, they were delicious. The lap quilt is stunning.
I love this type of vlog. ❣💫💯
I started a garden this year!! Finally after about 8yrs of doing nothing. I made a self watering garden from a stock tank, it’s working out good so far.
When we had crepes, especially during lent, we would roll the crepe with cottage cheese inside then put syrup on it. Sounds horrible but it was very good!
When my daughter lived in England, we use to go to a restaurant called “Ye Old Dutch”. They fixed the most delicious fruit filled or savoury crepes.
Excellent on the walking challenge! I am doing my usually spring 30 day walking challenge again this year. Sometimes I ride my bike and trying to drink at least 32 oz water and getting sunshine daily.
But today I just did some grounding while watering my plants ( walking in grass barefoot) my knee is swollen from riding my bike 🥴
Walk 👣 water 💦 sunshine ☀️
Was mesmerized with your incredible crepe making skills. Boy they looked delicious 😋
Thank you 😋
I quite enjoyed your DITL, especially the crepes!
I love your thrift shopping trips ❤ a local church near me, gives these kind of rare beauties away for free! I have some pretty items & one glass platter with red stars is rare! 😊
Ooo crepe with mushroom and bechemel sounds delicious. I have a vegetarian relative coming soon i might make a selection of crepe.... The others like english cooked breakfast but creoe for her might be a nice alternative. I've been racking brain so this is sooo helpful. Thank you Sophia
I love crepes and make them on the weekends. I’ve never added cognac before.
My mother had Revereware, I had Revereware. Just mix vinegar and salt, squirt on copper, no scrubbing needed.
My mom had revereware too! I think my sister has a few pieces of it?
I am going to make a short video with a stretch that I invented and I’m going to use my camera. I’ve been putting this off as it seems so complicated and have been just taking videos with my phone. My camera is a Canon EOS M50.
Wish me luck😊
My friend of 25 yrs has Parkinson’s so that is for doing this fundraiser! Great idea! 👣💦☀️
Crepes Suzette are not flambés with rum, but with Grand Marnier! Please try that, you‘ll see, it‘s the authentic flavor!!
❤😊
As a child mine would be rolled with a sausage link with maple syrup! ❤❤❤❤❤ What is wrong with lemon juice and salt for the sauce pots??
That paragon set is the set I have. It’s called Brides Choice ♥️♥️
It s lovely.
How did you deal with the earthquake?
It was a nothing really. Just some clicking out if the curios. Nothing broken.
I'm not familiar with vanilla sugar. What is it used for ? Similar to vanilla extract?
It s flavored sugar.
It’s basically a teaspoon of sugar per pack mixed with ground vanilla or vanilla aroma. You can make it yourself by sticking a scraped vanilla pod into a small jar of sugar. It’s what we in (continental) Europe use instead of vanilla extract (which is still not as common here )
@@dorisw5558 Thank you ! 😊
Took me a while to figure out why you kept saying cup…never heard even a French person not say crepe (crape)
I guess I can t speak French either. 😌
