Kannadigas never prevented Rajkumar entering into other languages. It is Rajkumar who preferred to stay back in Kannada itself
He had more than enough opportunities in Kannada itself until his last days, and he was not greedy and was quite content with he had. Of course kannadigas rewarded him with extreme love, affection, Na bhuto Na bhavishyati.
why would he look for other languages.
He was unparalleled emperor of Kannada film playing all kinds of roles with an exemplary touch.
We have not seen how is Rama, Krishna Arjuna, Bheema, Narada and many many karnataka kings, etc He showed us all of them through the roles.
For us he exemplified a cultured principled middle class family. We saw in him how a typical role model of a brother, a son, a father and a husband would be.
With his humility and impeccable life he is NUMERO UNO in the world.
Yes, I would agree that with the kind of versatility he has shown with the roles he played and exemplary performance, He had all the potential to enter into other languages, But he preferred to stay in Kannada itself.
Personally he lead an extremely spiritual life and had mastered yoga, and HIS DEATH WAS ICHCHA MARANA, He willingly left the body with yogic techniques.
Even today there are hundreds of people visiting his samaadhi and i see many sit, pray and meditate there. That is the devotion we kannadigas showed on him even when he was living.
I dont want to comment about his children, They are no where near him with acting caliber.

i dont understand why our kannada channels does not telecast such melodies after 10.00 pm on a dialy basis, instead of the new meaningless kannada new songs.. There has to be a separate kannada classic TV channels, whereby only songs / movies related to 1950s until 1990s, to be shown... these were the true GOLDEN PERIOD of Kannada movies / songs.. You wont find great musicians l lyricst l acctors like theose days.. Can anyone replace, GKV, Rajan Nagendra, Sathyam, M Rangarao, Upendrakumar, Ilyaraja..
