OMG....I am so excited you are tackling this during the pandemic. The biggest puzzle I completed was 8000 pieces and when it was completed, 6 pieces were missing😱. I used foam board also and taped them together to extend over my dining room table. If you haven’t already planned this, as you finish each bag/foam layer, spread your next bag on a new layer of taped foam board and then complete layer two. When finished with all 4 layers, take a fifth layer of foam board, place on top of 4 layers, and then tape all 5 layers of foam board around edges. This will allow you to move your layers with little or no piece movement, allowing you to join them for photography😀. I’ll be following your progress and hope you don’t let this puzzle take over your apartment and “LIFE”! Fun! Fun! Fun!

This was recommended to me about a week ago (I guess I was spied on - I've checked the Ravensburger online store a few times recently, and then suddenly youtube came up with your video), and at first I was like, "How can one have a 'dream puzzle'? Wait, how can she be so excited about a puzzle??" Fast forward a week, and I've watched most of your videos on this channel... it's an intense youtube hole I fell into, and I'm loving it :)
Been a puzzler my whole life and somehow JUST managed to find the puzzle community!? Working on my first 3,000 piece puzzle and boy is that difficult. I can’t even imagine 2x that...4 times 🥴
I mean, I do enjoy puzzles, but NEVER have I've seen such PURE JOY on someone's face as Karen's when it comes to puzzles. Best of luck! Lots of love and stay safe! ❤
Back when it came up, my whole family tackled "The Sixtine Chapel" puzzle, also from Educa, which was 18000 pieces. It came in four bags and we didn't mix them up. It was a family tradition of ours to get a big puzzle for Christmas and we typically finished it by the summer (we usually worked on the puzzles in our vacation home). But this one took almost two years to complete. It is a great image for a puzzle: not only is it beautiful, but it has a lot of fine detail and plenty of very useful straight lines and "frames".
@@eileenreding8552 Well, I'm talking about 30 years ago or so, back then you could buy them at any puzzle store, they were brand new! No idea where you could find them now, sorry! (I'd search in Amazon or eBay or places like that, but I'm sure you already did that)

In Minnesota there is a big yellow barn that sells candy from all over the world. They also sell different puzzles from 300 to 2,000. But out side the store on display there is one that is 84,000 price that a guy did from Mankato, MN.
I'm so happy for you, Karen! My dream puzzle is definetely the Disney's 40320 pieces. I know it's so out of my range, but a boy can dream. Or at least that someone in my life bought it and let me do the Little Mermaid section, I'd be pleased.
I live super close to the Educa factory in Spain, when that puzzle came out, some Schools got it (Maybe Educa gave it to them?). That box was in my School's hallway for the most time I was there, but it never got started, I guess no teacher was brave enough to do this with the children hahaha.
That's impressive. My biggest was 4000 at once (and another one which was two bags 2000 each), and I believe 2000 is my comfort limit, just sorting more than that is painful.
I just started doing puzzles during this quarantine .. Never in my life did I think I would enjoy doing puzzles but I absolutely love this.. I can do 550 pieces so far 😆.. The current largest jigsaw puzzle in 2023 is by Dowdle puzzle (What a Wonderful World) at 60,000 pieces and 8 feet tall x 29 feet long! I should say the largest retail jigsaw puzzle (meaning you can buy it). $600 at Costco. There's actually a jigsaw puzzle done in Vietnam a few years ago that is a 551,232 piece jigsaw puzzle done by 1600 students at a University that is over 48 feet tall x 76 ft long! But I'm sure it's a one of kind and not for sale. LOL!
We are starting almost at the same time on this one! I have sorted the first puzzle part. I have the edges layed out and a few fish are complete. But this is a harder puzzle then I thought! It doesn't have the 4 inner and outer pieces. It only has 4 different puzzle pieces. And the don't always line up exactly. That's an other challenge I found out. Good luck to you Karen! You puzzle way faster than I do, so I'm curious at your progress. Aye it will make mine a bit easier because I can use your video's as cheat video's! 🤣

My wife and I found 40 puzzles in a thrift shop that was closing down. I offered them 50 cents each for the whole bunch and they excepted. We had about 20 Wheels puzzles that after Mod-podging them on cardboard we mounted them on my garage door on hooks. As the door raised the puzzles go vertical , then slowly stays that way as the door closes. But what I wanted to ad was, we noticed people on UA-cam using a paint brush to Mod-Podge a puzzle however, We found that a plastic squeegee worked much better forcing the glue into the puzzle cracks. The pink squeegees that is used in Bondo body repair that's sold at automobile parts store worked much better that a paint bush. Fun! Fun! Fun!
enjoy it, I'm still working on mine. I didn't know that each bag was a piece, so I mixed everything. A HUGE mistake
Wow, that's a big task you're doing!
Wow, good luck!
That's not a mistake! That is you accomplishing a 24,000 piece puzzle! If you don't mix them, you're just doing four, 6000 piece puzzles...
@@BirdyJ0 when we bought it, it was bagged in 24 bags so it was 24 of the exact same puzzle with different pictures on the sections lol. (This also meant one specific piece could fit in 24 spots lol so you really had to pay attention to the pictures) we had mixed a bunch of the bags before we figured it out though
@@BirdyJ0 This is not correct. Don't forget the 2 inner puzzles don't have edges, which makes them far more difficult.
"Now I make my own videos to make my own hall of fame". That really hit me in the feels 😔 there needs to a petition to get you into the hall of fame
Your passion is infectious and your positivity is heart warming. Thank you for this video!
I have absolutely no interest in puzzles, but I enjoy your content immensely! It's so nice to see someone living their genuine interest and passion. Bless you UA-cam algorithm for gifting me this wholesome content! Keep living your best life!
I don’t dislike puzzles but I’m not particularly into puzzles. I do maybe 1-2 puzzles a year usually around the holidays.
But I just love your videos. Watching someone love something so much and develop such a great skill level is one of my favorite things on the planet.
When I grind away late at night on my engineering degree the only thing that keeps me doing is the thought of being financially stable enough to buy this exact puzzle.
For me, it’s the Colin Thompson Magical Bookcase (18,000 pc)
That is an awesome goal and I know you’ll go far, Noah!
Imagine doing this puzzle for 3 month only to find out that one single piece is missing 🌚🥲
Yep the instructions say that you can just count the location of the peace and order the peace you're missing! Who dodged a bullet on that one!
My grown up children do this to me all the time . They think it’s hilarious. Mind you my youngest is 42. I’m obsessed with puzzles , but I have to say my biggest was 5000 . It look me for ever, my son made me a board to fit. I have one going now which is only 1000 and I can lift it if and on my dining table . Have fun. cheers from Australia
@@laurabarber6697 Except this puzzle is 14 years old and the booklet she showed said that's only valid while stocks last so I guess by now you'd be pretty hardpushed to get hold of the missing piece if there was one...
@@Lioness99a I live in Chile and the brand is from Spain, a lot of years ago (maybe when smartphones didn't exist yet) I put together a 6000 pieces puzzle to find out one piece was missing. I used the piece replacement service and it arrived!! 3 month later in a standard envelope but it arrived. I was amazed that the little envelope made it half across the globe and for free. So ... love to this brand forever
@@patriciahavill8099 Are you saying that your kids are stealing pieces from your jigsaw puzzles as a joke?
For some reason, I'm expecting this to become a weekly series through the rest of the year.
Where o you find large puzzles like that? I’ve looked all over!
@@eileenreding8552 Well, I'm talking about 30 years ago or so, back then you could buy them at any puzzle store, they were brand new! No idea where you could find them now, sorry! (I'd search in Amazon or eBay or places like that, but I'm sure you already did that)
This is literally the most wholesome content on the internet.
I didnt realize there was a puzzle scene... very cool!
I cant remember the last time in did a puzzle.
I’ve done 35 since last March. 30 x1000 piece puzzles and 3 x 2000 pieces. So absorbing and so satisfying
Both Puzzlers and now this?? Wow Karen! 2021 is shakingggg ❤️
hahaha, this is what happens when I'm forced to stay home with nothing else to do 🙈
@@KarenPuzzles 😂 i'm here for it! Excited to follow this series ❤️ LIFE

The puzzle.....
Thanks!
That's impressive. My biggest was 4000 at once (and another one which was two bags 2000 each), and I believe 2000 is my comfort limit, just sorting more than that is painful.
I've done 4000 and it was by mixing the 2 x 2000 bags 😀 I'm surprised you didn't mix the bags but its having somewhere to keep them all!
I just started doing puzzles during this quarantine .. Never in my life did I think I would enjoy doing puzzles but I absolutely love this.. I can do 550 pieces so far 😆.. I have purchased 750 pieces I’m working myself there.. I have bought so many puzzles it addictive..I’m excited to see you complete this large puzzle
And I used to think 1000 pieces was one of the hardest things one can do in "life" 😭😭
Thanks
The current largest jigsaw puzzle in 2023 is by Dowdle puzzle (What a Wonderful World) at 60,000 pieces and 8 feet tall x 29 feet long! I should say the largest retail jigsaw puzzle (meaning you can buy it). $600 at Costco. There's actually a jigsaw puzzle done in Vietnam a few years ago that is a 551,232 piece jigsaw puzzle done by 1600 students at a University that is over 48 feet tall x 76 ft long! But I'm sure it's a one of kind and not for sale. LOL!
karen now: i hope to finish this in a couple months or so
Also Karen: 29th jan 2023: ok guys i have finaly finished this puzzle, it looks epic!
So much good info! And we're puzzle twins!
Curious.. how do you cheat on a puzzle? 🤣
Yes, I’m so here to watch you do this giant puzzle!
Hi Karen! I just recently discovered your channel....and I love it!!! I used to do puzzles a lot when I was younger (I'm now 49) And now, binge watching your videos, I've started again! I cannot do them anywhere near as fast as you...but that's "life". 🤪 Thanks for renewing my passion for puzzles ❤
That intro was so cute! I loved watching her get so excited for her puzzle (and rightly so. That is an awesome puzzle)!

There's 2 Disney puzzles that are over 40k pieces0
I have seen them and I want one.
This is gonna be soo goood ! I'm all in for a 20 parts series 😅
24,000?? 😳😳😳 epic! Our biggest puzzle that we made during quarantine was a 2,000 family of tigers
I came here after John Green recommendation. And it's so nice.
LIFE from Denmark and superb content here: the biggest (twisty) puzzle I have done is the Rubik cube 19x19x19
This is gonna be crazy. I kind of want to do this myself now. It’s definitely a once in a lifetime experience.
Today is the first day in my LIFE that I am doing a puzzle (1000 pieces) besides the ones I did as a kid. I have a tiny apartment, but I am staying for a few days with my mom, and we decided to take it on together. I will follow this journey!
I'm not a puzzle person. I'm impatient and need instant gratification for my monkey-brain. But seeing you so passionate about puzzling is a gift to witness. Your excitement is contagious.
I'm autistic and puzzles are my newest special interest because of you!! So thanks for sharing your passion with the internet and getting other peeps passionate about it!
I knew this would be huge but when you read out the measurements and it hit me how big it was that the short side is taller than me too! I'm excited to see how it goes
Imagine having cats, dogs and/or kids while trying to do even a 1000 piece puzzle. I don't even want to think about having this puzzle in my house, now that will ruin my life (jk but it will drive me crazy, I just wanted to incorporate life in the sentence). 😁
I think you might need that 'piece replacement' form

Not really a puzzle guy but I love how much she smiles during the video because it shows this isn’t work to her because it’s truly what she loves. This creator also cares and likes and replies to comments, what did we do to deserve her?!?!
Great video, I subscribed

Happy National Puzzle Day everyone!!!
"What have I gotten myself into" is your life's quote, Karen 😅😉 good luck with the puzzle, the best me and my family did was a 5000 pieces... And we spent MONTHS 😂
I've never been more excited for a puzzle update series in my life!
I remember watching this video, then justifying the 6' K'Nex Ferris wheel, I went and bought it, and got it! I built it, and took it apart, and now I still have it. It's so awesome. It's not a puzzle, but there are 18000+ pieces!! :) I did it in 4 days
Hey Karen that is a dream puzzle to me too ! ( i just bought it)

Isn't it just four, 6000 piece puzzles though if you keep it all separate?

Wow, this looks like a beautiful puzzle. I hope you will do videoes on your sorting process, since that would be of interest to me since I have the large Disney puzzle to puzle when I get more experience in puzzling.
We love, my wife and I, watching your videos and have become a puzzle couple. Keep up the great work, Ft. Myers, Florida and Retired.
"dream puzzle" is a phrase i never thought i'd hear
Me silently trying to do my 1000 price puzzle while Karen does a 24000 price puzzle
"Life" I just stumbled on your channel to determine if Ravensburger puzzles were any good. Mastermind Canada has 20% off Ravensburger puzzles. After viewing your videos my wife and I bought 3x1000 and 2x2000. They seem comically small compared to your new one but thanks to your reviews we have the next few weeks in lockdown covered. Looking forward to your 24000 piece journey!
My mom and I did a 3000 piece Harry Potter puzzle. I started it when I was about 9 months pregnant and it took us about a month of casually working on it. I would spend my entire life working on this one! Hahaha.

Karen (during her Q&A at the beginning of the year): I am not doing a large puzzle until I move and have the space.
Also Karen: I do what I want!
Love it! Live your dreams girl!
I'm new here, but I've been in a really bad depressive episode lately and was in the mood to watch some jigsaw puzzle videos, as I don't have any right now but love doing them...and you're so happy and sunny! I was grinning along with your enthusiasm before long. Your joy over getting your dream puzzle really made my day. I'm looking forward to watching all six parts. ♥
Hi Selkie! I hope you're doing better nowadays, with a new jigsaw puzzle too!
Karen I’m a new puzzle person. I just watched your before Christmas UA-cam about beginning puzzle pieces😁 Yes I watched the entire video and now I’m ready to start my first 250 piece puzzle. Thank you for the tips on how to get started!
Wow I can't believe you're going to do eduka's life puzzle 😃
To quote Spongebob, “...one eternity later...”
I'm excited just to know I'll be part of this adventure watching you solving it xD
Someday I'll be brave enough to buy one, for now, I'm gonna keep solving my 4k puzzle.
You are the type of Karen I need in my life. I haven't done a puzzle in so long omg... TIME TO BRING ONE OUT AGAIN!!!!!
Randomly found this video on my recommended list on YT.
After playing the whole 24000 piece playlist. I started watching some other videos of yours like the puzzle with only edges...definitely worth the time and made you on my sub list.
Your voice is so calm and genuine when expressing emotions such as amazement. I wonder if you will go for the 42000 pieces one day...I know it is a lot more but seeing how mentally strong and dedicated, 42000 should not be a problem. The only thing is where to display it once completed.
The pure joy she's radiating is making me grin just to witness it!
