- These are the top 10 hardest extreme demons in Geometry Dash as of 04/12/2023.
This is according to the Pointercrate demon list, which can be found here: pointercrate.com/demonlist/
It is community-led, and the most reliable source you can get (although it does not include unrated levels and challenges such as VSC and Stellar Night).
I have also decided to include Tidal Wave in this list, as is is the current Top 1 level and it deserves recognition. It'll probably get rated to extreme demon one day as well.

Botting Codependence was fun D: (I recorded both players at the same time and it broke my brain). I predict that although this level is never hard enough to be Top 1, its difficulty relative to other levels for top players will stay pretty much the same, kind of like super probably level. SO although in a few year's time it might be higher than any of these levels on the list (besides maybe tidal wave), It still isn't top one, but it'll move down the list a lot slower due to its unique difficulty.

@@exiled_shadegdwho tf counts “buffed Acheron,” it’s a very slightly harder Acheron that was mostly made to fix a skip in the level which Zoink didn’t even use in verification. But it’s the same level, it was an attempted update of the level, not a release of a new level itself.

Silent clubstep was the only level that instead of lowering its position, it went up 😨
The amount of unbalanced shit in that level is ridiculous. The predrop ship ALONE is harder than almost ANYTHING 3 years ago.

The stuff you say about codependence in the description is very interesting. Codependence requires a skill totally different from almost every other level in the game, and doesn’t progress as fast because of the lack of 2 player levels. If future top players are just as good at 2P levels as current ones are, but are better at usual levels like tidal wave, then, indeed, it might be considered harder.

Cada nivel tiene su magia y su dificultad.
Codependence requiere de una habilidad que no se ve en ningun otro nivel de los top 10, es como un duelo maestro llevado al extremo. Cuando salio Slaughterhouse crei que no habia algo mas alla, es un nivel corto pero tan estrecho y con una cancion fuera de lo común, algo más allá de lo típico infernal de otros niveles. Tidal wave es el top 1 y realmente es increible que sea el nivel mas dificil de gd y a la vez trasmita tanta tranquilidad, la transicion del dia a la noche es una temática muy infravalorada. Por ultimo Zoink, este personaje es de otro mundo, recuerdo cuando se decia que Riot era el mejor jugador, estaba Ciclyc, Andromeda y otros mas pero ahora los tienpos han cambiado y parece que jugadores de otro mundo llegan a este juego.
Increible comunidad de GD, esperemoa que la siguiente noticia sea la salida de la 2.2. Felices fiestas.

I think u should have added eyes in the water or eternaltheory to this list. They both are also top 10 demons that either haven’t been added to the demon yet list or aren’t yet rated.
Personally, I think by the end of 2023, the demon list is gonna look like this:

nah codependence might get pushed a lot higher bc its that far out of everyone's skillsets. i think its highest ranking could go to 6, above aod, but it wouldnt be a stretch to say that it could be harder than avernus, since zoink is kinda scared of codependence but not avernus

I don't know about you, but I believe that VERTOP is likely illegitimate since VERTOP's community post about Aerial Gleam, VERTOP didn't expect his record of Aerial Gleam completion to get added to the pointercrate. It's titled 'After a MONTH of checks, my Aerial gleam walkthrough was added to pointercrate' with the help of Google Translate.

Still good to see Silent Clubstep around, showing that a level doesn't need to look like an artistic masterpiece or have overly complicated gameplay (relative to other demons)
All it needs is some really mean gameplay to be difficult

when the top 10 extreme demons are fighting each other, the Legends (Bloodlust, Sonic Wave, Blade of Justice, etc) are laughing, the Kings (Cataclysm, ICDX, Red World Rebirth, THF, etc) are resting, and the God (Bloodbath) is watching

I’d say that most of codependence’s difficulty comes from that you’re effectively trying to focus on 2 levels at once, and if each of these “levels” were separate then they’d probably not even make the extended list

@@unnetted I disagree with the whole mod system in the first place but I heard somewhere that the NONG song was one of the main factors in the level failing the mod vote the first time.
Mods have little say in what gets rated, if it fails the mod vote, it just means they won’t send it to Rob or something. Rob himself is the only one who can rate it

Yes, it really needs a revamp. There will be so many levels coming out in 2.2 that are rateworthy, due to lower standards, that Rob will not be able to rate them all himself. I would have proposed letting ViPriN be a second hand but now with all this drama, not sure if I’d want to grant him such an ability
