I thoroughly enjoyed the video, and when you we’re discussing luciana’s habitat, the shade thrown at the airplane, and the pool had me screaming out with laughter,, thank you 🤣🤣💜💜
I enjoyed this video. My personal top 5 are: 5. The OG school room. Because of the size, it’s best for Wellie Wisher students. 4. The OG red kitchen. I added Molly’s red table and chairs to complete the look. 3. Julie’s bathroom. This 70s lover especially loves it with Julie’s bedroom, including the egg chair adjacent to it for a completely groovy look. 2. Melody’s recording studio. There’s so much to do, especially when you add instruments and Tenney’s amp. 1. The AG diner with the bakery case. It’s so good! Can we please talk about Kit’s roll top desk, chair and lamp, her typewriter, phone and camera? They’re all on another level of quality!
Agreed - the OG classroom is definitely better suited for WW sized dolls. And the red kitchen - what a classic! I bet it looks great with Molly's table. IF we had Julie's bathroom, I bet it would be high on my list. I love it. I just don't have a place to put it. Some of these BTIs aren't going to be in our collection forever, though, so maybe when a few of them move out, her bathroom will move in. I do love it. As for Melody's recording studio, I think you're right - adding Melody's keyboard, Tenney's amp, basically any other music instruments would increase the play value exponentially. And the diner and bakery case? YES! So, so fun. I can't talk about Kit's collection because I don't have any of it and have never had any of those items in my hand. But from everything I see, I'm impressed. I love her books and it's almost worth it to get the typewriter even though I don't know where I'd put it, just because it was so central to her stories.
Great video, I loved your breakdown of everything. It made me remember tht we turned the ice cream truck ino an undercover spy van. My youngest loved Kasey Undercover.
OMG I love the idea of an undercover spy van - so creative! I was thinking a mobile pet grooming service would be cool, too. But I REALLY loved the bookmobile I saw someone do!
Have you considered getting some photographers backdrops with nature scenes and taping them to something like foam board? You could put them outside the windows, and when you're done with them, you can easily store them since they're flat (although large). I want the OG greenhouse simply for the faucet, hose, and broom. ;) And I hope to some day find several of the OG stables to use as a European-style Christmas market. I can't get over that misleading half-doll pool ad! That's so wrong.
We bought a couple backdrops that we basically never used because they're plastic (cheaper), have major creases (but you can't iron them out, because...plastic), and finding a place to put them up is tough due to their size. Have you come across any smaller, nice ones? I'd be up to using them. Also, pics please if you do the European Christmas market!!

I’d love to see a follow up of your medium ticket items (a term I just made up) like beds, kiosks and other furniture pieces. I’m so enamoured with AG furniture pieces after getting the trundle bed recently that I’d love to see yours!
This was so fun and insightful! I can say based on my friends’ kids, the ice cream truck has amazing play value 😄 I also loved seeing different ways you and others have incorporated the different big pieces (I love the Starbucks you made!!)

You're very welcome! I'm so glad you found it helpful. Making this one was pretty time/energy consuming, but I'd been wanting to do it for a while and your comment is exactly why - to help people make informed decisions about these bigger items.
I enjoyed this video a lot. I completely agree about the pool. I was do disappointed in mine. I hope to convert it the way you did. Graces bakery, Leas’s hut, and the grand hotel were my daughter’s favorites. She played for hours with all of them. Another item she played a lot with you didn’t have on your list was Isabelle’s studio. The green house is on my wish list and Blair’s restaurant.
We had Isabelle's studio VERY briefly but it was something we got in a lot and never planned to keep. I think it's lovely - we just weren't sure about adding it at the time (that was before I had the downstairs doll room so display space was much more limited). If you decide to try your hand following my pool upgrade tutorial, let me know if there's anything that's not clear enough in the tutorial video :)
When I was a kid, I’d put on Barbie talent shows by propping my dolls on their stage and belting out their songs myself. I also loved playing restaurant and doctor. I did it all. I imagine there are kids who enjoy the recording studio.
Yep. Someone commented that their family loves it and that they add Melody's keyboard, Tenney's amp, etc. I imagine that increases the play value exponentially.
Whew! That was a lot to take in, BUT informative to many. I have so many of these plus more and tend to agree with you on your conclusions. Oh, if you need a replacement shower head, I have a new one. Thanks for putting the energy into this video since it will be very helpful to folks.
Thanks. That's actually one I'm thinking of parting with, but it's such a large piece I'd have to sell it locally. I'm very proud of it, but I think I'll take it to a doll show where we're going to be vendors in March and see if someone else is excited to get a custom Starbucks :)
Great video!! It must have taken so much time to shoot and edit! You have given us so much information and in such a useable way. I remember when Grace’s bakery debuted and we were all shocked at the $600 price tag and how big it was. I didn’t have the money and have never had the room. The one BTI that you reviewed that I’d love to own is Luciana’s spaceship. I’ve loved it ever since came out but still no room for it. I always liked that it had 3 sided play so more than 1 person could play with it at the same time. My husband works for NASA and this would have been so fun to have. I don’t own and will probably never own any of these BTIs but it’s always fun to dream.
It definitely was a lot of work, but I'm glad you found it helpful! I'd been wanting to do this for a WHILE because it's so hard to know which items will work for you and will be worth it for you if you can't see and touch them for yourself.
Haha my daughter climbs in the ice cream truck too and it always blows my mind lol. One of our most used playsets you didn’t mention is Julie’s bathroom! It’s so super cute and such high play value. It’s pretty simple but my daughter also likes Mia’s rotating ice skating stand more than i’d think (it was in a lot). It does fit Gwynn and her Wellie size skates too.
I love Julie's bathroom but I couldn't feature it because we don't own it. I imagine it would have a LOT of play value. Also, I love imagining how many children have smooshed themselves into that OG ice cream truck lol.

This is such a good video! Great concept, and great way to really examine the sets as someone who doesn't have access to a store! @ I can say, you honestly put aloft of work into your videos. Very detailed and informative with lots of visuals. That’s work. This one really helped me narrow down my next big ticket item. Corinne bedroom is on top of my list. Skipping Blair’s restaurant. Still in search of Marie Thomas bakery.
I so enjoyed hearing what you thought and how you rated each item. The only big ticket items I have other then beds, are the hotel and spa and the cafe booth. So it was really nice to hear and see about other items. I added a few items to my wish list and took a few off my wish list, so I appreciate your honest thoughts.
@@agtakesover So I really wanted both Grace's bakery and Blair's restaurant, both after seeing your review, I don't have any space in my house for the bakery, that this is huge and the play value of the restaurant made me take both those off the wish list. I did add both Corinne bedroom and the grand hotel to my list. I didn't think I needed the Grand hotel because I have the hotel and spa. But after seeing this I love both of these items and that they both fold up so nicely.

I cannibalized the set for its pieces for my dollhouse kitchen and Blaire’s bedroom. I was never able to manage to get a doll to sit on those flimsy benches. I do love the colors of the set and like the farmhouse look of the table though. Claudie’s bakery I got because it’s pretty and I wanted to own her whole collection to show her love. I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite though. I have great difficulty interacting with my OG ice cream and grill on the go trucks. I find it hard to move stuff around in the trucks. Yeah, I think the OG ice cream truck is easy enough to access IF it's out in the open. Yours is definitely a tight squeeze. And Corinne's bedroom is HUGE. IDK where you're gonna put it either, but I'm excited to see it. We also just bought a replacement roof for Lea's hut. I think we're close to being ready to part with it so that we can open Kira's and enjoy it, but I knew people would be less interested in buying it if the roof was broken. So Grace found the roof on eBay for $15 shipped a few days ago and we didn't hesitate.
Welcome to the community! So happy to have you! And yeah...I post VERY regularly, so you have enough content to keep you entertained for a WHILE lol :)
Lea’s hut is heavy to me, definitely too cumbersome for me to lug outside without help. I love it, though. Buying the shell for a fraction of the price and decorating it myself was the best thing I ever did. Now I just need to find Maryellen’s diner. I need it. I have a lot of beds, desks, tables, the purple kitchen, and Melody’s piano, but the Lea hut is definitely the largest AG playset I’ve owned.
I took it outside once for some pics. I was able to carry it myself and it fit just fine in my car. But it is bulky so it's not something I'd do on a regular basis lol.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! It was quite the undertaking but I'm hoping it's helpful for people who need more information to know which of these things they might want.
I enjoyed the video, but I was surprised you didn't dive into Corinne's ski shop. You showed it briefly at the beginning, and again at the end of the video. Would you not consider it a "big ticket item"? It seems nice for photography, and play.
It is technically a big ticket item and I'm not sure why I didn't include it. I also excluded the WBU stuff because. Maybe because you buy the ski chalet and the bench/fire pit separately (just like you buy the table/locker/etc separately in the World By Us collection). Someone suggested a follow-up "medium ticket item" video at some point to feature beds, the AG "day at the cafe", and others. I could definitely add the chalet, fire pit, and WBU stuff in that video :)
I don't think it would have near as much play value as a standalone. I asked my wife and she said the same. Are you thinking about Christmas gifts for a child? If so, let me know what your budget is and what doll things you already have for the kiddo(s) and I'm happy to make suggestions.
@@AlNisa21 I would go for the Love You Latte coffee shop from Our Generation. It's super cute, right up a 6 year old's alley. It's $109.99, but Target currently has a deal: Save $10 w/a $50 purchase. So that would make it the same price as Maryellen's bakery and you wouldn't need the kitchen and dining sets (unless you already have them). Let me know what you think of that coffee shop/bakery - it's a recycled version of the OD diner and it's adorable.

I took it outside once for some pics. I was able to carry it myself and it fit just fine in my car. But it is bulky so it's not something I'd do on a regular basis lol.
Really great video. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Very informative.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! It was quite the undertaking but I'm hoping it's helpful for people who need more information to know which of these things they might want.
Awesome video! I wonder if the AG expected us to purchase two plane sets, to enclose the set and make it seem like a real first class section?
It wouldn't make sense because the outside of the set is a wing, so you'd have two left wings. Just a weird design, IMO.
@ oh true! Yes, two left wings wouldn’t make sense! Yeah, I guess the plane is even weirder than i thought.
What a fun video! Thank you! 😊
@@clairewatkins1720 I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Does your daughter enjoy playing with the community center couch set? Also the community center locker set?
She doesn't play with these, but to be fair, it's because they're both in the downstairs doll room she doesn't know about lol.
What do you think of using the bakery case as a stand alone playset without buying the diner? Would it have enough play value?
I loooove Blair’s restaurant. So sad that we don’t have space for it.
My only gripe is that it is SO hard to get dolls to sit on those really light, backless benches. I do LOVE the look of it, though.
