don't use gloves with any saw if that thing gets caught it'll rip your hand in too

or at least those gloves, I have been saved by a latex gloves more than once, but they need to fit very tightly on your hands to be useful

No grease or oil it will attract the dust and trap inside the bearings.

Nearly two years later, how is the saw holding up? I bought one a week ago, but returned it when the slide jammed. It turned out there were only three linear bearing installed, when there should have been four, and one of the three had seized up. I now have a much pricier Bosch on order and will never buy Einhell again.

It's holding up just fine. Used it for way more applications than I expected and it's earned its price back several times over.

@@AlfrescoStudio Thanks Matt. I used my new Bosch for the first time this evening, and I'm glad the Einhell went back, because the new saw is so much better, that the higher price (it was £300) is entirely justified in my mind.

@@ParaBellum2024 bosch is a great brand but its only fair to compare like for like and I haven't been able to find a budget bosch mitre saw.

@@jaytee7382 No, I'm not comparing like with like: I'm comparing budget with better, and making the case that it was worth spending more. Had the Einhell not been defective, due to appalling quality control, it may have turned out to be a decent budget machine, holding up well against others in its price bracket. I pointed out that the Bosch is in a different league. To put my Bosch into a like-for-like comparison, I'd need to try others costing the same. As it is, without the time or resources to do this, I identified the Bosch as a likely candidate, then read as many reviews as possible and watched UA-cam videos. Pretty much what I had done a week earlier with the Einhell, but with a different price in mind. No way was I going to buy another budget saw.
