This is amazing Luis! Really a joy to listen to and just dive deep into it. Of course I can't help but analyze the Musical and Mixing quality of this piece of art. I'm amazed by the sound-quality and Orchestral placing. You not only created the 'space' but also managed to add depth to the Orchestra. It's like you listen to a live (3D) Orchestra. This is a very complex piece which must have cost you a lot of time to create. I suggest you sit back, relax and listen to it with pride. Your a 'next level' composer Luis. thanks a lot Ed, I wanted to put more attention in the mixing this time, and also, I avoided to use too much reverb (for example in The Time of Winds there is a lot of that, and the sound clarity is less). It cost some time to create (Around 2 months, but i was only focused in this music, in the past I had some comissions to do and was more difficult to focus in one piece)
Gosh! What is it about Steampunk, that it seems to attract wonderful music, like this and beautiful women!! Several of the best-looking young women I know are 'really in to' Steampunk! In Edinburgh, in 2022! When will its' time come' with some wonderful film or the public realisation of this beautiful, intense, evocative music like this that has existed 'under their noses' for such a long time!!!

Me encanta y definitivamente entrará en mi lista de reproducción cuya música elijo de forma muy selecta. Realmente estás a otro nivel. He escuchado muchos compositores que hacen música pero a todos o casi todos les falta algo, o les falta calidad, o les falta sentimiento, les faltan muchas cosas, pero tú realmente has logrado progresar, mejorar y superar todo eso para convertirte en un artista infravalorado cuyas obras me encantan. No tengo ninguna crítica para esta pieza, me encanta, mi favorita desde luego. Me gusta mucho como usaste partes reconocibles de anteriores obras y las reutilizaste para hacerlas aún mejor, tiene muchísima variedad y me encantan los cambios que haces, la música encaja con la situación, genial. Me gustaría mucho que usases más el oboe. He pensado que podrías hacer una que sea como de la realeza imperial con o sin una historia de amor. O quizás una especie de obra que sea, por así decirlo, una presentación de los reinos y países del continente "europeo" del mundo que has creado, que muestre, musicalmente, su personalidad. Por ejemplo; que en un imperio que haya tenido su momento de apogeo ahora esté en un periodo de decadencia y con una revolución a las puertas, una revolución que quiera terminar con los monarcas, un poco a lo Imperio Ruso. Otro que esté en su apogeo como podría compararse con el Imperio Británico en la Era Victoriana tardía o el Imperio Alemán. Quizás también una especie de Imperio Austriaco que muestre bella arquitectura y música más similar al romanticismo a comparación del resto. No sé, son algunas ideas que se me ocurren. Desde luego que tú sabrás cómo hacer algo interesante igual o incluso mejor que esta obra. La larga espera ha vale totalmente la pena viendo la calidad de tus composiciones. Abrazo. ^^
Muchas gracias por tu comentario, esta música no sería posible sin las piezas anteriores y la experiencia desde que inicie este mundo musical, cuando hice "A ship in the Clouds" en 2016 tuve problemas para desarrollar y concluir la composición. Será interesante explorar musicalmente esos pueblos y ciudades, y talvez diferentes épocas de ese mundo, e ir más allá del sonido Europeo-Britanico que le asociamos al Steampunk. Pero eso con el tiempo lo escucharemos.

It's so wonderful that you really put so much thought and care into each detail! I love how you worked on the themes from previous pieces. It feels so good listening to them again but in a different overall context. The story really feels alive! The storm part, of which I listened to a short sample previously, sounds (and looks) breathtaking! And I also love the map animation. It reminds me of the ones we see in the Indiana Jones movies - which perfectly matches the adventure tone of the rhapsody! Congratulations, my friend! This is a true masterpiece, and I'm yet to listen to it many, many times, to assimilate all the nuances and layers of your superb work!
Thanks a lot for an amazing comment Augusto, in the previous pieces (Symphony 1 and 2) the music and images act as a world building, and in this music, there is more a linear story inside that world. About the visuals I have in my mind for the first part, I imagined more a steampunk adventure directed by Spielberg in the 90s (there is something special in 90s movies), it's like combining Hook, Indiana Jones and Star Wars.

hello and thank you, there's not much to tell, I've always made music as a hobby. Years ago I used to make electronic music for fun on my old Yamaha keyboard, after watching Star Wars I got interested in orchestral and film music and started making soundtracks for my little short films. In 2010 I started to investigate if there were any orchestral libraries for computers and started making orchestral music with more realistic sounds. I studied systems engineering, while I was studying, in my free time I made music pieces until today. Making more music and listening to classical music inspired me to create pieces, but I have no musical education.

hello and thank you, there's not much to tell, I've always made music as a hobby.
Years ago I used to make electronic music for fun on my old Yamaha keyboard, after watching Star Wars I got interested in orchestral and film music and started making soundtracks for my little short films.
In 2010 I started to investigate if there were any orchestral libraries for computers and started making orchestral music with more realistic sounds.
I studied systems engineering, while I was studying, in my free time I made music pieces until today. Making more music and listening to classical music inspired me to create pieces, but I have no musical education.
