    Videos like these teach med students like me better than our professors. It is disgusting the amount we pay to teach ourselves. These videos deserve the money, not our professors.

    Nice video and brilliant illustration. I understand that the closure of eyes is due to contraction of orbicularis occuli but what about the reopening of the eyes?

    You didn't mention lesions in trigeminal and facial nerves impacting the corneal reflex, which I think is the point why people even talk about this. Can you add this?

    Its not the temporal branch..its zygomatic branch of facial nerve that innervates orbicularis occuli muscle.

      The upper half of orbicularis oculi receives from temporal branch while the lower half receives from the zygomatic branch of facial nerve.
