Dear Professor Fujita, in so many ways I had a similar life, as I left everything I had in Italy when I was young to live in UK with the English girl who became my wife (clearly that proved to be the right choice!). My English was very poor and I had no money. I worked and studied very hard, did well studying a degree in a different language, and found better and better jobs. Nowadays, people think that I’m fortunate because I live a comfortable life (and have several nice guitars). They don’t know that what they see is only the tip of the iceberg - all the hard work cannot be seen, as it lies under water. I guess that it is the same when people see a great guitarist playing, without an appreciation of the hours and hours that the guitarist spent to practice. In the end, just like you, all that matters to me is my family; if I had to lose everything else I’m not afraid, as I’ve already proved to myself that I can make it. Kind regards, Gaetano.
Thank you for sharing! Yes. Very similar. People only can see your surface. That's okay. Yes. Hardworking people will see that. As you know. nothing is easy to accomplish but people always expect something very fast! Thank you!

(I’ve been playing Blues almost 46 years, and lost all guitars course of son’s money accident . But anytime music save me in hard times. I try to be a”level 2.5”guitarist until my end of life. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I really now understand that behind success is really hard work.夢を夢で終わらないように頑張ります。
You're very welcome! You can do it if you are believing yourself! ゆっくり着実に努力と工夫でがんばってください。努力だけだと足りないです。
@@TomoFujitaMusic ありがとうございます。努力だけで足りない事を非常に勉強になりました。
Yes indeed, this story is guitar wisdom. ❤🎶
Thank you so much!
Thank you Tomo
Never give up is a great lesson in life
Don't worry. Be happy.
You're very welcome! Thank you so much!
I think this is the best UA-cam video I have ever seen! At least in the "music" space!
Thank you so much!
Loved your story! Every day you look back and remember where you came from and where you have been and where it has brought you to today! You have worked hard and continue to work hard, and you deserve everything that you have! Stay true to yourself! Congratulations on everything that you have accomplished! Hard times bring great days!! Rock on!
Thank you so much! Yes. I am still working hard. I am a normal guy who need a lot of efforts to move forward.
A fabulous early Christmas gift straight from your heart to all of us students. You brought to mind a saying from Gerald Michaelson's book "Sun Tzu for Success", where he wrote, "From deep within us, we need to avoid 'just fake it' and turn on the internal automatic pilot of 'just do it', the right way for the right reasons." Thank you, Tomo.
Thanks for sharing.
You are a beautiful soul. Thank you for sharing this inspiring story. Came at the right time for me. I enjoy your lessons very much. Peace and Blessings to you!
Thank you so much!
@@TomoFujitaMusic You are very welcome. BTW, I washed dishes in my college cafeteria. My classmates could see me in the kitchen. It was a disgusting job but I needed the money. I will never forget looking up to see them seeing me. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger :)
@@rhctn I feel that! Me too! I still remembered that! Hard work, patients, I gained so much from these experiences.
Just starting guitar at the ripe old age of 61, so thanks for the encouragement! Congrats on all your success; hard and persistent work will pay off, eventually.
Good job! Thank you so much!
Thanks Tomo. It's always better to develop a strong will early in life, than later.
Thanks so much!
@@TomoFujitaMusic Of course. Immigration policies must have changed since then. Nowadays foreign students on visas are prohibited to work outside campus and may get deported if caught
Great to hear your story! Hope younger generation gets this message of hope and positivity, we all need it!
Happy Holidays!
Thank you so much! I am hoping that someone can use this to go over a big bump in life.
Thank you for sharing your life, wisdom and music. Your perseverance not only helped you but all of your students, subscribers and friends.
You're very welcome!

Thank you!
Thank you Mr. Fujita
You're very welcome!
I heard you have so much guitars! But you said not to proud it...? I couldn't catch. you have so much guitars and they are beautiful! Why not!
I have a lot of guitars. I don't really proud that part that much. I can explain it soon.
Thank you Mr.Fujita(Tomo san).

Tomosan, this is the first time to talk to you. I appreciate your channel because whenever I check it, I learn something new from you. Currently, I am teaching English to high school kids here in Japan. In 2001, I played music at some open mic cafes and I'm still making music back in Japan. And you keep inspiring me whenever I feel discouraged or bored with my life. Thank you so much for your hard work and Have a great Christmas! Mar T, Sapporo

Thank you Tomo for the Friday Wisdom! Today during practice I thougth of this video when you said "never give up", totally true. A Hungarian proverb says " You can live without a horse but then why would you live?" I think this is totally true with guitar. Have a great weekend. (Also I'm looking forward to see in the next week's episode if the dehumidifier left on or not :)
You're welcome! I am trying to post my Tomo Talk Video on every Friday! Great one! We can expect too much too fast but why not? That's why I don't think to be number one or the best... I just want to be a little above the middle! This way I can keep going! Often I forget!
