- Supermodel r787 - this is a version of Supermodel that corrects the emulation bug that made the attract mode BGM in Scud Race play too slowly. this is just a quick video demonstrating it in action.
Thanks to UA-camr pinkimo for pointing me in the right direction to get a version with the BGMs running at the correct speed. You can download it yourself from here: www.mediafire....

I don't know anything about sound issues in this game but I do know the game looks great and thats all that matters to me, lovely looking arcade racer.
In previous builds, the music played at a slower tempo.
I'm so used to the old slow tempo that this feels wrong XD
Ha, IKR? Seems weird.
Lol! I know the feeling. All is good.
I feel like the slow tempo is the one that's wrong. The fast tempo is the original.
@@UltramanMebiusBrave Yes, the fast tempo is how it's supposed to sound.
Same 😂
Amazing update! However, after getting used to the slow audio, this is like a hard refresh to me. "Why does it sound so weird?"
We'll get used to it eventually.
I'm ridiculously convinced this is fast compared to real one but at the same time I know I'm wrong.
IKR?
Nice to see you eventually got this working on Win 7! This is how it sounds for me on Win 10, which was also quite the effort to hunt down a properly working and recent version. I really hope the devs release a fully tested official version soon (with this included sound fix) as its been 8+ years since the last official Supermodel release. Always a pain updating this emulator.
Yeah, an official release would be great, but I can't see it happening anytime soon...
@@MrThunderwing Sounds Like Ferrari F355 Challenge 1:07 2:11 3:15 4:19

@@ryandawson8513 This actually predates F355 Challenge, so it's possible this is where those engine sounds originally come from.
Just Like Sound Ferrari F355
This is impressive and catchy! This is one of my favorite Attract Modes alongside Daytona USA. 🏎️💨
This is awesome, I absolutely adore the song! :D
The tempo is spot on bravo...!!👏👏
I swear this didn't just affect Scud Race, I have noticed it in Dirt Devils' BGM as well.
Hillustration same with Magical Truck Adventure, I believe. My PC runs the game slowly though, so I’m not sure if the BGM slows down with the emulation
Yes, Dirt Devils had faulty sound before, it used to go out of sync and sound weird - haven't tried it yet in this build. All the music in Le Mans 24 used to play too slow, that's been fixed too now, I've uploaded a _big_ Le Mans video tonight. Going to take quite awhile for all the processing to finish, so I'll publish it tomorrow.
@@MrThunderwing it's a strange racing game compared to the other ones in the Model 3 library, in my opinion. Looking forward to it!
It's an acquired taste. I absolutely love it now, but I didn't think much of it when I first started playing it in the earliest versions of Supermodel.
Love this game to death! So awesome
This is much better than the slow one
finally the emulation is 99,9,9,9% perfect
What's the one thing left to fix to make it a perfect emulation?
EDIT: I'm gonna take a guess that it's because the HUD is still confined to the 4:3 aspect ratio, is that it?
@@bluesrike I don't think the HUD'll ever change. It's probably more just like very minor inconsistencies with how the light reflects of the car and the scenary, stuff you probably wouldn't even be aware of unless you're running the emulator and the actual arcade game side-by-side.
@@bluesrike emulations are normal to have glitches that you can't even notice, no emulation is 100%, that's why I said "99.9%"
@@MrThunderwing The sound is still not 100% on point, most complex DSP effects aren’t emulated. There’s more discrepancies in VF3, definitely one thing broken in that game is fog and the sound used to eventually break after running for too long, not sure if that’s been fixed.
Damn it feels incorrect after listening to the slow one so much
Right?! When I heard the BGM from the original soundtrack, I thought it was sped up. It’s nice that this was corrected though
@@mrgamer21799 The BGM was never sped up in the first place. Go play the original arcade machine and you'll know why.
This is still an awesome looking game 👍
By the way I played this game on 2012 on Philippines on Robinson's Imus Cavite😔
Sounds Like Ferrari F355 Challenge 1:07 2:11 3:15 4:19
I really wanna play it so badly, but it's so complicated setting it up on PC and Arcades are pretty much non-existent here in my area ☹️
It really isn't that complicated to set up. I actually talk about the basic setup here in my video where I explain how to get a network running: ua-cam.com/video/CXzI4AfqrEQ/v-deo.html
I’ve just tried a few games and vs 2 ver98 has music correction, vs2, vf3 has music correction a few games do
👍
So awesome to see this running so well on a pc. What’s attract mode though?
An Arcade Game that isn't being played goes into "attract mode" (sometimes called "advertise mode", "demo mode" or "game over mode", which is intended to attract passersby to play the game.
Typical attract modes show several of the following elements:
The game being played by itself (with varying degrees of skill)
Cutscenes showing the game's Backstory
Character descriptions
Lists of high scores
Tutorials explaining how to play the game
MrThunderwing Thanks! That sums it up perfectly, unlike the Wikipedia page which confused me more. Thanks for clearing this up. Makes sense as it’s kind of attracting people to come and put money in to have a go.
Okay, how did you manage to get perfect sound emulation?

Thanks Brett!
its like when i heard Sonic 2 NTSC version music for the first time
Is there a way to rip the Track models of Daytona USA 2 and Scud Race.
I wanted to make Track mods of Daytona USA 2 and Scud Race for Mario Kart Double Dash and Mario Kart Wii
Does this fix the slow bgm tempo in the lost world arcade?
I don't know, I haven't tried it. If it fixes it for Scud and Le Mans I'd have thought it would fix it for The Lost World too.
@@MrThunderwing turns out it actually fix the audio in that game,
thanks for answering tho
I wonder when the scud race plus Collosseum attract Screen will run with correct speed. Music is fine but Video is Not in sync with the music.
Hopefully it'll get fixed eventually.
Hello how can i fix my Supermodel? It renders slow though, but the audio was indeed fixed. Before, those things can be fixed by enabling Quad Rendering, but those things won't work anymore after updating to SVN 787. My specs is Ryzen 5 3550H and GTX1650. Thanks
Apparently this version breaks other games. I'd try downloading a different version of the emulator.
Do you have issues launching games like Dirt Devils and Le Mans 24? I use my batch file to Start the game but 5 seconds later the cmd Window closes itself
I had to do a bit of detective work to try and get my LeMans.zip working - I had to record my screen and then watch it back in slow mo to see what the split second error message was flashing up in the command prompt about the missing EPROM and then fixed it myself with some Googling. I found out afterwards that someone (a member called TrojanX) had already posted a soloution. Here it is:
"DIRT DEVIL SOLUTION
To get DIRT DEVIL working, please find the missing epr-19338a.bin in your Scud Race game rom, "scud.zip".
1)All you need to do is open the scud.zip using your compression program (Winzip, Winrar, etc).
2) Drag & drop the epr-19338a.bin file into your DIRT DEVIL rom, "dirtdvls.zip". The compression program should transfer it automatically.
Remember, when you boot up DIRT DEVIL, do NOT forget to calibrate your Steering to solve any control issues. YOu can calibrate your steering by going to the Service option in the game. Once you have done it, you'll be all set to play the game properly.
LE MAN 24 HOURS SOLUTION
To get Le Man 24 rom working is a little trickier but still easy.
1) Open your Sega Touring Car Championship file (yes, your model 2 game), "stccb.zip". Inside that file, you'll find, "epr-18261.ic9".
2) What you need to do is extract that file onto your desktop.
3) Rename the file extension from "epr-18261.ic9" to "epr-18261.bin".
4) Drop the newly renamed file into your LeMan 24 rom, "lemans24.zip". The compression program should transfer the file into the zip automatically."
@@MrThunderwing thanks for the Info. While i was at work and had some free time so i checked the Supermodel forums and found out about the missing bin files in dirt Devils and Le Mans 24. Still thank you
@@MrThunderwing odd thing is i copied over the ic9 file and it works fine. No need to change the file extension
@@Frapskillar I don't think I did either.
@@MrThunderwing one question, how does the epr-18261.ic9 from the stccb zip be relevant to the lemans24 zip, i'm just curious about what it is actually used for
How did you fix the tempo?
I didn't fix it personally, it's been fixed in this specific numbered build of the emulator by one of the guys who works on it. The sound fix only works in this numbered build because it's experimental. The guy responsible said that the new SCSP code ported from MAME is not part of the official lineup yet, because there are still some bugs.
Hello
how are you
