About the game:
Escape from Tarkov is a hardcore and realistic online first-person action RPG/Simulator with MMO features and a story-driven walkthrough.
With each passing day the situation in the Norvinsk region grows more and more complicated. Incessant warfare in Tarkov has sparked massive panic; the local population has fled the city, but those who stayed are looking to improve their fortunes at the expense of others. Having accepted the new reality, savage Tarkov locals - "Scavs" flocked into well-armed gangs and started the redivision of the city. Nowadays, Tarkov is separated by unseen borders, controlled by different groups. Gain-greedy gunmen would go to any length to have their way, including the murder of civilians and direct confrontation with the two private military companies.
The players will have to experience living in the skin of one of the mercenaries who survived the initial stage of the Tarkov conflict. After choosing one of the sides - USEC or BEAR - the player’s character starts to make his way out of the city. Tarkov is sealed off by UN and Russian military, supply chains are cut, communication with operational command is lost, and in these conditions everyone has to make his own choices of what to do and how to get out of the chaos-ridden metropolis.

Good thing I already have the EOD version, but I only play SPtarkov with it. I haven't touched online in 2 or 3 years now

I don’t think the stash space thing is as big of a deal.
Id like to see them offer a $5 a month subscription, offering you early access to ragman clothing, extra lines of stash space and a random rare item every month (not ultra rare or gpus)
This way peope like myself that love the game can help to support further development, for minimal perks, but stil somewhat attractive while getting no pvp advantage. This i would hope would encourage bsg to crack down on the cheater problem having a steady revebue stream without the rebuys.
I have 5000 hours of pain, misery and delight out of my eod account so imo bsg owe me nothing and instead I feel I owe them for making the best game ever imo and want to see it improve further.

the player base of tarkov cant be naive or ignorant about this, they need to push back and let the bsg know they wont just lie down and allow them to add in mtx like these, theres no excuse for a game like this to be adding them, they make enough and have had people steadily buying the game for 8 years, along with who knows how many hackers have re-bought editions. I think 'nikita' is just lying with all these excuses hes coming up with, he knows they dont need them
battlebit was spending 6 figures a month to maintain servers at launch. running a game costs money. stash space is really nothing.
Here is how stupid BGS and Nikita are, they could have added microtransactions to Arena first and kept their word when it comes to no MTX in EFT and seen how well it went over but no.
Or, here me out... Instead of adding microstransactions actually make a game with long term sustainability in mind that people WANT to invest in rather than using a sunken cost fallacy.
Maybe fixing the cheating situation with a custom in-house designed anti cheat and a stricter stance on cheaters that DOESN'T affect normal players. These are all things the community had been asking for like you said in your video. I love Tarkov and thats why i bought EOD because I felt the direction it was going was good and I wanted to support that. But the whole cheating thing is a huge turnoff to me. Not just with Tarkov but gaming in General it makes me want to turn to things like SPT/COOP Tarkov or play other games entirely and give them my hard earned money because they're more fun.
Thats just my stance on Tarkov. I will give credit where its due. This last wipe, overall has been much better to play than in the past. This Wipe was a W for them and it should be celebrated. But I'd still like to see more, mainly the things I listed above. Maybe once changes like those are implemented I'd be far more willing to invest MORE money into Tarkov.
Not really micro transactions if we wanna be technical then eod had micro transactions. when I hear that word I think of skins, gear, money, loot boxes

@@Purplexity So? BSG is blatantly lying to us for easy money. They could have made actual easy money by coming out with more and better merch but they chose to go back on their word. This is just an early step in the overall downfall of EFT. Enjoy it while you can.

I don't get the drama. So how exactly they should get $$? By selling merch or basic version of the game? 1.7M pounds profit is 'a lot'? I would say it is poor result and I expected way higher numbers. Average company will target for profit at level around 10% of annual turnover. I would say that they could make way more worse decision or the game than the one that just made. They could make some XP/SKILL buffs or shit like this. It was super clear that once they will stop selling EOD (and btw everyone with more than 1 brain cell bought it for Gamma and not for the stash capacity)they will offer different service. 8 years of developing and still in beta - yeah and those who remember the beginning will know that they had no idea what they are doing. This wasn't well organised game dev studio. This is not a AAA studio as well with houndreds of milions $$$ to make the game in 1-3 years. The true is that it doesn't matter what they would do there will be always someone who will complain about the decision they make. I think there are way better points to complain about the studio and game other than these microtransaction that have no influence on the game.
And last thing - what if BSG intentionally keep such amount of cheaters in the game to farm $$? Maybe this is the step in direction where they will limit amount of cheaters once they will have stable income from other sources? I wouldn't be suprised if even some in game dev is helping making these cheats to get some extra $$ on black marcket.

You paid for the game 8 years ago. You've paid once for 8 year experience but THEY are scummy and greedy? Saying that because of their success you believe they shouldn't be able to collect continued support is asinine. If you don't trust them don't support them. This community is full of babies.
