What a tremendous collection. I used to take a green double decker, similar to the one here, to school, route 403, Beddington to Carshalton then I caught a red routmaster for the rest of the way. Lovely to see a similar one. Hats off to everyone with a passion to preserve our heritage.
Thanks Andrew. I would have liked to see more local preserved M&D and East Kent vehicles, but at this time of year there are competing rallies, and, of course , the journey west would have begun for some in time for the Great Dorset. Nonetheless I felt we had a good mixture. And, of course, by making sure I was working up there, I had a good opportunity to nip out and do some filming. Many old friends seen (and heard in one bit as we discuss model railways).
Only one thing better than looking at the old trains and buses, and that's working with them. I am lucky to have had a career with older buses, and now I work on the heritage railway. Lucky? More like priveleged. Thanks again for the kind comments John.
Thanks Michael. I am very fortunate to be qualified in several roles, such that on occasions like this I can work at Tenterden and combine filming with working. Very priveleged.

I really enjoyed it. I remember traveling on some of those old buses with my father when l was a little boy.
Me and my dad will be going to the bus rally at the rhdr on sun 4th September
Hope you both have a good day.
What a great day .My step father was a bus driver for a time but when he married mum was a cashier counting all the coins .
My dad was a conductor at Brook Strret garage in Hastings. My mum, too, was in accounts there.
Bernie you should do a Geoff Marshall style video secrets of the k e s r
I'll leave that to him, Mark. Just glad I got to be able to make a little video in between work periods.
