I love the way you guys give the impression that you fuck about. But, you do know what you are doing🙈! Being a 70's child, I can't wait to see it sorted 😊.
Thanks for the plug for the owners club guys. I’m not suggesting this for you guys, but I have always wondered about fitting a Dolomite rear chassis floor into a Marina, to mount the matching Dolomite 4 link trailing arms and coil sprung rear axle. The 1300, 1500 & 1850 rear axle is the same width and has the same internals as the Marina axle (and the same wheel PCD). The Dolly Sprint axle uses the same suspension setup, but a much heavier duty axle and diff etc.
It is disappointing when we don't get enough footage. A lot of what we took will be going into the gearbox/engine episode when that comes out when the engine is built up. But thanks for watching!
buy a z3m clownshoe and put the marina body on it haha very cost affective, then chuck the clownshoe coupe on the marina floor. 1st would be a sleeper,2nd would be fast asleep cool lol
Some cracking work there lads. Shame no wheel trim abuse😂 With regards to an alternative rear end would it be a massive job to fit a TR7 rear set up Mind until you lads started this series i didn't realise the rear anti roll bar gives a bit more axle location on marinas Cheers Russ
Never been a fan of changing a cars original design, nothing against you doing it, its just me, think I'd probably have gone for a Dolomite Sprit to restore if I wanted one with longer legs. I had a beautiful Cortina 1600E, went very well but wasn't the greatest motorway car, but I didn't buy it as an every day car and it cruised nicely at 65mph, it would get up to around 100mph if you wanted to be deaf.
Well we didn't really have a choice. The marina just appeared to us, and if it hadn't been a GT we wouldn't have bothered with it tbh. We were excited tho, Si more than anyone else 😂
if MR LEYLAND wanted all these silly mods he,d have changed it all plz plz keep it standard or itll be like dropping a piano on it and worth nowt ????????????

Oh we do f**k about. But between us we do have a decent amount of knowledge.

No problem! You and Simon have been great with advice.
The Dolly Sprint floor may be a project for another time.
Looking good lads.
Excellent stuff, you folks are really hitting the mark with these videos, just the right amount of arsing about balanced with spannering/welding.
Thank you!
Z3 body swap was exactly what I was thinking 🙂👍
Loving the videos shame it was a short one. Keep on the good work.

More quality shenanigans thanks lads.
Good stuff 👍
Nice to see the old marinas getting restored rather than piano'd.. silly sods
good luck with it, looks as though you came a long way with it
Thank you, yes it's been about 10 months since we got it and only work on it one or two evenings a week.
What Marina it is a hybrid
Great work guys thank you.
No, thank you!
Great work as ever
Great job as always!
Sterling work as always
I’ve a set of those Marina caps in the loft from a GT
They’ve been there about 35 years 😂
They're probably in better nick than ours.
Jack the rear end up an put a jag chromed axle underneath 🤣…..sorted…..inboard brakes as well 😂💪🏼
Ooh and a fog light pointing at the diff.
@@crap_car your on the money😂😂
Erm good job this far any latest hubcap action am getting the shakes …….

Cheers Russ. 👍🏻
I plan to fit a panhard rod on the rear axle too
So if you painted the Daimler brown would it become a chutney ferret..?
Haha! Brilliant! 😂
This car should've been done MONTHS ago. What's the hold up? 😮👀🤪. Our Marina's don't have 'oles in 'em here in the Desert.😊.
Full time Jobs are getting in the way of our hobby.
And why not put Marina running the gear and suspension into your Z3?
That's a great suggestion!
Booo, I demand to see hub crap destruction, but keep on keeping on troops!
We need to think up some new ways to abuse them.

If the car had been a minter, I doubt we would have done it and restored it to standard.

Can't you spot the sarcasm? 😂
This is just now getting too stupid.
