Can’t wait to learn this!!
This song came out when I was in High school (God it sucks for all of you that didn't witness this time in music, in person) but this solo was considered the Holy Grail of guitar solos forever. Partly because of the goofy Analog recorded tuning and partly because Eddie was king of the tapping hill. So glad to see Carl do this, I've been playing since 1979 (age 10) and this is STILL one song I crank to this day, and I already see a couple of notes I've been playing wrong all these years. Props to you Carl. Whenever I see one of those underrated guitarists list pop up I always add Steve Lynch's name to it. They opened for Van Halen a few times, that would've been a show to see.
Awesome! Autograph was such a great Glam Metal band! Sign In Please still is my favorite album of all time. Steve Lynch on guitar is so inspiring, especially with his multi-finger tapping technique. More lessons from their songs would be amazing! Keep it up Carl!
Hey Carl just wanna say your Guitar Academy is awesome! I've learned so much without all the bs you run into on UA-cam. And for the price of all that great information is such a bonus. Been on the site religiously and ive made some progress.
Hey man I love your content I’ve been able to learn so much. Any chance you could do some songs from the band Nothing? Especially from the first album, I don’t think it’s too complicated but it’s hard to learn by ear for me at least and they have awesome stuff. And there isn’t a lot of tutorials for them out there. Thanks again though! Love your videos and ur teaching style!
that's an old one Carl I bought their album on the back of that song, if truth be told it was pretty average at the time....I may revisit it and have another listen it must be 35 since I last heard it, it may be a tad better with age......mind you probably not. 😂 keep up the good work mate.
Hey buddy, I sent you an email a few days ago but not sure if it went through, I have been having trouble sending them to other people as well where it’s in there spam folder and not the inbox. Thanks brother love this lesson
Only Carl can knock this tapping out perfectly while looking like he's bored out of his mind then acts like he just did that as easy as breathing air "Alright so the pattern is pretty simple - "
I did this last year I think. The funnest part is the intro effects and noodling! Had fun with it! Check out my cover guys! I was super proud, as a new beginner. Was a big accomplishment for me!
@@frednava3869 No, its a video game from 2002. Grand Theft Auto: Vice city. The game takes place in 1986. The game has an 80s soundtrack with several different music genres. The game does have some inspiration from Miami vice, Scarface and others.
Need some more Floyd! On The Turning Away (one of the live versions) is one of the most beautiful, underrated performances of all time. There are some parts I just can’t figure out for the life of me! There’s hardly any transcription done on this masterpiece for some reason.
I wonder if maybe he’s tuned to 432 hz instead of 440? I ran into some Cinderella tunes like that, weren’t standard and weren’t a half step down and then I remembered that was standard at one time and it worked out perfect
Prob just his floating trem. There really isn't perfect tuning at this level. You're either flying over the notes or adding vibrato to the notes that you break on that the listeners ear can't keep up to go oh man he is a 1/8 of a step out of tune. I'm a fixed bridge guy myself but still don't get hung on tuning perfect. Get it close and jam!
Great song, solo, and riff! Can't wait to try the tapping part! Get the best teacher of guitar - Carl Brown - and join the Academy today! Courses on everything, including tapping. Also, everybody, if you haven't already, check out Steve's 8 finger tapping masterpiece Hammerhead - it's awesome!
I’ve been watching him for years and just recently found out he was from Greensboro, but I think he lives in Cali now. Thought it was so cool he was from just up the road from me. Some good talent coming out of Greensboro. Eric Gales is another excellent player from there.
"STEVE LYNCH, IS SUCH A SUPER UNDERRATED GUITARIST, FROM THE 80'S ERA, HE SHOULD BE RECONNECIZED FOR HIS OUTSTANDING OVERALL PLAYING ABILITIES, A VERY UNIQUE STYLE, SUCH AS VITO BRATTA, FROM WHITE LION, ANOTHER UNDERRATED GUITARIST, FROM THE 80'S ERA,"🤔🤔🤔⁉️⁉️⁉️🤨🤨🤨 "OHH WELL, JUST LIKE THE SONG SAYS IT, "WHERE HAVE ALL THE GOOD TIMES, GONE,"🤔🤔🤔⁉️⁉️⁉️🤨🤨🤨
