Very creative Capt hahaha. I have flown with Dual FMGC failure in my type Rating. If both AP is engage, FMGC1 is master (Ref: FCOM-AC SYSTEM-AUTOFLIGHT GEN-FMGS MODES)
@@Captain_SQ I mean just the FM computer. FG mode remains functional. I am aware it is possible for only FM to fail (for example 2 sets of data that don’t match) but wondering what the consequences are
FMGC faults. Non time critical failure. Either you land your plane in Cessna-mode (easy) or you do an extensive troubleshooting. The rest is irrelevant.
Great Video,
You are very fun to explain the failures, that makes learning better in an easy and didactic way, I appreciate it
My pleasure. Thank you for your kind words.
During independent operation we have to insert info on both mcdu’s because the xtalk bus is lost.
If autopilot 1+2 is selected AP 1 is the master.
Great answer
This is just beyond good, captain, thank you. Short, precise and perfect to refresh my memory before TR sessions
Thank you Hans, cheers!
Great tutorial man! Thank you for giving such great stories to remember what i tend to forget 15 days after my RT!!!!!! Lol
Most welcome man!

Yeap that's right, good job Bach.
What about trying a reset?
Best explanation ever that too in 8 mins for FMGS faults👏✈️
Thank you Sagar.
great way to remember the modes… easy to remember a few ex,s😂😂😂
Haha yes.
Great break down, Captain!
Thank you.
Awsome explaination
Thank you
Hi @Captain SQ,
Need your help. Which failure option in FSLabs MCDU menu to activate the INDEPENDENT OPERATIONS, which option did you use? Refer 3:37
Hi Jeff, I don't think there is an independent failure option on FSLabs. The video was for illustration purposes and was edited.
@@Captain_SQ noted thanks
What if you just loose FM? Can you still used the AP for selected modes?
If both FMGCs fails and you are using the backup navigation, there are no autopilot of FD nav mode function.

Yes you would not be able to use the autopilot.
Better than pelesys, can suggest to replace ah?
Haha
amazing videos❤
Thank you Hisham.
Hey Capt! Could you please address the new Airbus SOP changes please ? Thank you.
Hello CAPT, in the case of fmgs failure, does landing gear have any connection with the fmgs?
No,landing gear is still go
Nice One Captain👍
Thank you.
back up nav mode = "calling your ex" LOL

A/P dictates which FMGC is active???
Autopilot dictates which one is master, which one is slave. Both are active.
What ıs the simulator name ?
