Its the concept of the show. I remember this show in Holland when I was little. We had no MTV yet and this show was the most important music program at that time.

I remember here in the UK back in the 80s a programme called Network 7 that had a similar feel to it. I only watched it because of a presenter called Jenny Powell..... Aaaah, the good old days 👍🏼🌞
It's because the show concept was about an informal club where artists promote their new songs and have a chat at the wayside. So no stiff interviews or performances. At least, that was the concept.
