Phil Collins just blew me away! We all know the incredible talent he is being an incredible singer/songwriter. Now we can discover him being a brilliant dramatic/comedy actor. The entire cast was great, and the writers/directors all were fantastic. Thanks ever so much for posting this freaky wonderful creatively done movie!

I’ve always been a fan of Phil’s music career and it wasn’t long before I discovered that he first tried his hand at acting when he was a child.
On a side note, whenever people mention Hugo Weaving’s early roles being _The Matrix_ or _Lord of the Rings,_ I always bring up that he starred in _Frauds_ before either of those films!

I’m actually amazed at Phil Collins acting. Why have I never really seen him in movies before? He was popular during my era. Phil is full of surprises and is amazing at everything he does. I’m in awe 😮♥️
Outside of music videos and voiceover roles for cartoons, Phil really doesn't have more than a handful of acting credits in movies. We wish he'd do more too!

@@tammylane9383. Wow! What a profound and endearing movie. There are actual men like that. My 2nd husband was kinda like that but way worse. He gave up all that for his own family. He is one of the best father’s I’ve ever known but it’s taken me over 22 yr’s to help him realize that in “Mainland America”, rules are more strict even though his instincts tell him otherwise.
The funny thing was that his family had to see for themselves that we were actually married because he had never been the marrying type AND having his own children he accepted and wanted (A lady already took advantage of having his child to gain status and wealth. She was too evil that she actually died). Ikr 😮

Movies based on fiction, and mythology is too, both make money, and this movie happens to be about fraud, and one has to wonder about the trillion yearly dollars scammed from people who want to pretend that fiction isn't fiction. Interesting perspective isnt it?

I remember seeing this as a kid, and for a few weeks I carried dice in my pocket and emulated Joe Pesci.
You read that right! Dunno why, but for decades I was sure it was Joe Pesci that starred in this movie. What a world-shattering discovery I made today! :)
Oh, and aother thing. Why is this movie so forgotten? I don't see it discussed anywhere much. Just like Cold Dog Soup, another brilliant dramedy.

Great movie, great acting, great soundtrack and great childhoods memories. It stood the test of time... Phil Collins is better than most of the mainstream actors here lol
I remember watching this film as a teen. Back then I loved weird stuff. I also remember watching Twin Peaks.
I moved to Twin Peaks. Bob doesn't live there anymore, but owls still fly silently through the trees at night. Starbucks is in town. blockbuster left. Weed is legal. The Log Lady died. A new retirement center opened, but burned down mysteriously... nobody got hurt. Ed finally got sober and moved to LA, that's short for New Orleans, where he works on haunted house tours scaring the bejeezus out of out of towners. David Lynch bought a house and lets me stay there when he's gone. I tend the rabbits.
As always, Phil being the legend he is.

I just watched parts of this and I'm AMAZED how talented Phil was!!!! He TOTALLY could have had more acting rolls!! He would had been superb in villain rolls like he could had been a bad guy in a James Bond movie or something!! Dang what a shame he wasn't in more films!! Incredible acting!!

WOW, totally enthralling, more twists and turns than a plate of spaghetti, the acting really got into the plot , that house was so psychedelic i am gonna have flashbacks. Josephine you are absolutely alluring and never stopped being believable. good work team . "hungh.good god ya'll " - James Brown.

Pretty great. Rather clever how and that the writers and/or producers decided against taking the easy way out and having them just kill Roland.

I remember when i first saw this on a Finnish TV back in 1998/1999. It was very very good! And now seeing it again its even better! Phil Collins and the whole cast does brilliant job! HIDDEN GEM this movie!

Fun Fact: Phil was technically an actor before he became a Drummer/ Singer (Front Man and Solo Artist)-Songwriter.
In 1964, a thirteen year old Phil was in A Hard Day’s Night- technically not an acting role, since he was merely in the audience- and in that same year he played the Artful Dodger in two West End runs of the musical Oliver!
In 1967, he starred in a Children’s Film Foundation production called Calamity The Cow. One year later, he had a scene in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Unfortunately, it was cut from the movie.
Aside from guest appearances in Miami Vice, a cameo in Hook (1990) and some voice acting roles, the film Phil is probably best known for is Buster (1988). He played the title character in the dramatization of Great Train Robbery which actually occurred in London in 1963).

When I was very skinny I used to find it too cold in winter, I need to lose this weight! But it means going outside more, and I’m Embarrassed that I’ll be seen by somebody who knows me! lol 🤷♀️

That was a trip..but wow that place phill Collins ' character lived...it's incredibly awesome...glad to see them finally laughing..such a strange fun house...but very very cool(&bright yellow) I kinda want that place myself right now.i watched cause he's been in the news feed alot lately health declining sadly .loved his musical talent didn't know he could play a villain..just thought he played drums( maybe a piano) ..anyway gets your mind off your own troubles.tbis ones worthy of a watch for sure!
