While it is true that the term "haute couture" is protected by French law, and defined by the Chambre de commerce et d'industrie de Paris, the word "couture" is actually derived from the Old French "cousture," to mean "sewing," and refers to hand sewn, custom-made garments.
Modern Trousseau remains one of the few remaining couture bridal designers in the USA. Our wedding dresses are lovingly customized and created for each bride, and hand-sewn at our Connecticut atelier.

Doesn't say it is haute couture. Just says couture.
Félicitations !!!
Beautiful dress and very inspiring. How many yards of fabric was used for this dress?
Does anyone know where I can find a roll of tulle that large?
so beautiful I liked
Amanda Jordan try any fabric store on google and ask for it. Most do. Say you need a spool of tulle. Xo
hi I need wedding gown material from India
Hi. Where are you located in India?
what materials required pls say
Muslin for basic drape and then tulle for bottom skirt and look like a satin bodice known as top part.
Thank you, kiyoharal. The word couture is being thrown around far too much these days.
you can only call it couture if is entirely hand stitched and made in france , just saying.
