Awesome video of the SD-10 sounding in attack for 5 minutes! I grew up with this siren, when I heard it at my grandparents' house as a kid. Where they lived, you could hear it within an earshot. It is currently at Deerfield Volunteer Fire Company, known as Deerfield Fire District No, 1, in Deerfield, New York. It would also sound in attack as it is used as a fire call/emergency siren by the VFD. It still brings me back memories when I was a kid at my grandparents' house hearing the SD-10 go off in attack.
This reminds when we visit Granda Treder’s house 🏡 on Drexel Boulevard in Rockford Illinois there was a fire department that had a siren 🚨 just like 👍 this and remember hearing it when there is a fire 🔥 somewhere. This sound brings back memories when I was a young child 👦.
Upstate NY, Deerfield Volunteer Fire Department has one of these on their roof. Love hearing it. Its kinda neat because every department in the area has a different siren and you can always tell who's is going off by the sound.

Thank you! Glad I could stir up some childhood nostalgia!
Some fire departments in my area have sd10s 6 fire companies have them sd10s
For a siren that was refurbished 20 years ago, it sure looks and sounds in great shape.

And I have videos of it. Great sounding SD-10!
9/12 port ratio sirens are music to my ears! 🎶
visually pleasant shot sir
Duncansville VFD has the same thing, however they have a pole stuck in the wrong spot and it's muffled
I love that echo!
the spin-up has me thinking that what's in the video is the 3 phase delta version of the 10 HP motor on that siren
Bro!! That cool with sd-10 is 10/10!
Awesome video
I used to live in Pennsylvania its nice to see sirens down there when i go up to visit sadly we dont have much sirens in north carolina😢😢😢😢
cleveland county has an entire system
North Carolina has plenty, you just have to look out for them
Love how it sounds just like the 500T. IMO the Federal Signal 9/12 port chopper assembly sounds better than ACA’s
the other siren is on the winner department store if i’m not mistaken
I lived in Pennsylvania befor but i moved to wisconsin😢😢😢
My favorite classic with the cyclone
That sounds like ACA Allertor 125!
Same port ratio of 9/12
@laurenceamspoker782 Okay, I was thinking about it before if Allertor 125 has 9/12 port ratio inside of it
Nice Video!
These SD-10A or SD-10 Are just omnidirectional 500 sirens.
wild. i wanna go film this system now
they still use it for curfew
0:04 Siren OFF
5:10 Siren OFF
Sounds like an Allertor
Allertor be like
