Nice one! I'm liking the visibility out of that nose with the gimbal.

How do you like this drone with the walk snail setup? Which gimbal are you using? I’m pretty close to ordering one with similar setup and wonder If it’s worth it?

The setup works well, I'm using the C-20T gimbal (equivalent to the Caddx GM3) with the Moonlight VTX.
Although Headtracking works well, I came to the conclusion it wasn't really for me so I changed to controlling the gimbal via the radio in more recent flights.
If you also decide to control the gimbal via your radio, this can be setup using Mavlink on a spare UART and worked really well, however I was getting a few soft alerts popping up. I think the Ardupilot target on the F405 board doesn't have all the Parameters added that it's looking for when a gimbal is attached (due to 1mb memory limitations). You can disregard these warnings though as they don't affect it's use.
The whole VTX/Gimbal setup is fairly heavy on the nose so I added 20g of tail weight which helped.

I'm not big on this cold weather business. I'm from California where cold is like 50° but I'm stationed at fort Leonard Wood Missouri and it's freaking 17° here. Idk where your at but it looks even colder.

17°F is pretty cold! Are you still doing any flying in Missouri? Haven't seen any uploads from you in a while. 🙂

@Crunklefloop I'm in the Army so I was in Missouri for school haven't flown an RC plane at all for 7 months. I'm back home in CA on leave and am heading to the beach tomorrow to do some slope soaring and FPV. Like you I fly a lot so it's been almost depressing to not have flown for so long.
