Spanish Town aka Spain Town is often referred by locals as one of the most dangerous Garrisons in Jamaica.

Thanks so much for showing Spanish Town positively . I was working with women there early this year we had a international woman’s event. it was amazing, and v the area needs support and development so much talent there. I met with many people and the work continues. 🇯🇲

You are very brave my friend ,I’m from Jamaica but on the east side ,I only hear about those places in songs and the violence ,but everywhere you go you have good and bad people ,so if it was a bad place they would have either buss shatt afa yuh or buss shatt enah yuh ,big up Jamaica ,we have some of the most loving and caring people on the planet

TG and Dudus eventually figured that out when Passa Passa Thursdays block Spanish Town road. People came from all over the world. Jamaicans have the same intense capacity for kindness as they do for violence. At some point we will have to decide which one we want to be.

Real talk this dude build different mi nah lie him walk through the most legendary DANGEROUS PLACE IN Jamaica like he’s walking in time square in Manhattan I’m not sure if he have police as security in the background but regardless he made a bold move to walk through taws pen and walk Canal bank nuff respect for this video if you know you know but this video means a lot for people overseas that can’t go back or people who elevated and don’t trust no one to accompany them through a place that dangerous and I hope that guy who give Chris the tour don’t ended up losing his life for that walk through
Spanish Town was the capital of Jamaica when Spain had it before The British came and took it away from them, good thing they kept the name and didn't change it to English Town.

The Jamaican government and the youth should have an initiative to clean up the garbage. There are so many young youths, the government should create an initiative for them to be paid to maintain the area and clean up the garbage. Garbage seems to be a big problem there, something needs to be done about that. Jamaica is a beautiful country. I love it but the inner cities need strong leaders to get them organize and take pride in their communities the government need to invest in jobs in the garbage industry and make it be a career that these young people would love to make it a career and be proud of.

Changed a lot since I was last there...1946 to 1951!
It was a poor shanty town, gravel roads and picaninis playing in the street. My father was a British soldier who met my mother before the war, took her to England and married her and returned to Jamaica.
Fond memories of the beauti 16:44 ful beaches, delicious fruit and our nanny Lillian, who we were allowed to visit at Spanish town. We gave her our dog when we returned to England:)
