To play devils advocate he could have been saying it to avoid the first aid conversation. The 911 operator will usually coach the person through first aid while waiting for first responders. As a fire captain with that experience, him saying it was a mortal wound kind or negates the need for that.

Those recordings shouldn't be to show your partner. The day my husband left he said some of the most vile things imaginable. I managed to record a lot of it. I've never played it for him. It wasnt for him. It was for me. Six months later, when he was trying to "date me" again and "make it up to me" i made my self listen to it weekly.
I am successfully still single. Recording it CAN be helpful.

    • @BrendaMulrooney
      @BrendaMulrooney 5 місяців тому +4

I did this with screenshots, and a broken gaming controller from the night I finally grew my backbone and kicked my partner out of my home. So many people didn't understand why I felt the need to keep any of it, and some days, I didn't either but on the hard days, when I was lonely or wondering if I was the problem, I looked at that controller and remembered that I was now safe from someone who never cared about my safety and would rather be the one to put me in harm's way than ever help me. I looked at those texts to remind me of the gaslighting, the narcissism and the person he truly was because sometimes, it was not to easy to remember.
I'll never forget the day I did a phone purge and finally tossed out that controller. It was the closest to 'healed' that I had felt in a long time. The damage is still there but thankfully, it only comes in very small waves when I am triggered - not like it used to.

From my experience, men like this like the "services" they get ie. clean home, dinner ready, intimacy etc. but they also enjoy coming home and punching down onto someone. They’re frustrated from work and having a punching bag at home (even if the punching is "only" verbal) is a benefit to them. These men keep this up sometimes for years with little to no effort to leave the relationship.

please consider covering the bizarre disappearance of Gage Daniel(6yrs old) and Chloie Leverette(8yrs old). Their grandparents had custody of both children. On September 23rd 2013 a blazing house fire was put out by firefighters. The burnt remains of the elderly couple were found down in the basement lying side-by-side on the concrete floor. The basement door
stayed locked at all times because that's where the man's tools were kept. The charred remains of their beloved dog were located, and even their little yellow parakeet. BIZARRELY NO remains of the children could be located at the scene, whatsoever. Investigators say that the only item missing from the home was a large safe. To this day Gage and Chloie have never been seen or heard from again.

When i was 16, i excitedly opened a joint account with my boyfriend. I worked, put money in. He didn't and took money out. It was a tough lesson, but I'm thankful i learned it young, without too much to lose. Do everything you can to have your own money. If someone is trying to control your finances, they WILL try to control other aspects of you. They're likely going for full control.

my first boyfriend would get so uncomfortably upset when i told him i didn’t want to open a joint bank account with him. his stance was that we lived together anyways and my stance was “we don’t have our own place and we’re not married, so i don’t see the point” and he would get so mad about it. now i’m out of the relationship and i see how controlling he really was throughout and it’s crazy how i didn’t realize it that much while in the relationship. my family has helped me realize just how controlling he was and tried to be in all aspects and i’m thankful i didn’t budge with a lot of things.

People with npd do not care about people outside themselves and do all sorts of mental gymnastics to make themselves seem like people they aren’t. My ex told me once he thought about killing me. These people are twisted. I feel bad for these women. I know it doesn’t look normal for her to beg him to stay but the back and forth and the love bombing and devaluing makes you want to feel the tiniest bit of respect from them. It was just frightening hearing all those recordings and messages - it was definitely a toxic situation for both parties. Daus was so verbally abusive to her, how did she still feel convinced that he loved her, convinced enough to keep repeating it? For everyone out there, if he’s calling you a psycho or other names, it’s not love and never do anything to convince someone to be with you.

If a woman leaves a partner like this every time he says he doesn't want to be with her, and sweet talks and threaten her to come back immediately afterwards, all she'll ever do is move back and forth. You learn to ignore the "I don't want to be with you" as something he says when he's angry, and it becomes the frog in the gradually warming water situation. When you realize that the water is reaching boiling point, it's too late. I got out in time, thank goodness, but it was not easy. And I say that realizing that my ex was a standup guy compared to this raging psychopath.

It's done so the victim craves the good personality and starts to think their behavior dictates the emotions of the abuser there by trying to please the abuser. A craving for those best moments and thinking that by catering to the abuser those moments can become permanent. I know this first hand

@@StephanieHarlowe You are OK. "The Other" is not OK. How will you survive if you think you are the problem? I never abused my 3 dogs (over time). But, I tear up for not treating them better. Maybe, I didn't have enough money to. But, I still regret I didn't do better.

@StephanieHarlowe this too shall pass, as they say. It might feel like a kidney stone at the time, but it'll pass. What your stressing about now, may not even matter to you a year from now. You are a strong, beautiful woman and you are unstoppable. Remember that and don't ever let anyone else make you feel any other way. Much love from Newfoundland, Canada

31:07 I can’t imagine speaking to my wife like that or having her speak to me like that. Hearing that makes me think he killed them more than anything else.
It was very confusing why neither one of them left the relationship.

Woah!! That was a toxic relationship but she didn't deserve that. That ridiculous that the police didn't investigate the cases properly that should be bare minimum. I can't believe that they called him to tell that they needed his phone for their messages 🤦🏼‍♀️.

To say this man didn't receive special treatment from the police is ludacris. The leniency of their investigation is at best negligent, and at worst criminal. I hope the families of these women get the closure they deserve

He sounds like he's talking about her locking her keys in her car or something silly she did in the 911 call. Not that she committed suicide. That 911 call alone was extremely indicative of his thoughts abou her
