Someone at my job has one of these. First time I’ve ever seen one so I had to look it up lol. Might be one of my new favorite trucks. I would want it with a normal truck bed though to just drive around.
I have its brother..... But mine is different. Frame was stretched and it was grafted onto an 83 S10 extended cab. Was also built with a hydraulic tilt deck. I love it but the one gotcha is the dang 14" wheels with the oddball bolt pattern. There are zero aftermarket wheels to fit that axle and the tire selection, especially if you want a heavy load range, is extremely limited. I'm debating on at some point in the future having custom 16" wheels made to open up the tire selection.
Yup, if it was a motor home truck the back of the cab would be cut out for a pass through and the safety sticker on the inside of the door is very Uhaul ! I have seen a couple of these, mostly guys hauling custom bikes.
Man I love the truck!.. I just bought my self a 1987 toyota 1 ton dually. I have a 2jz turbo swap that I’m going to put in it!.. and I want to do a tow truck like yours for my own personal car’s!.. it has i 10ft bed on it but im trying to figure out how much more i need to extend it!.. if u don’t mind me askin!..how long is the bed on your truck?
That's a cool little ramp truck! But where are the ramps? I would take it and get it weighed empty so you will know the net weight. Subtract that net weight from the GVWR on the door pillar and that will give you the maximum load that it can legally carry. Enjoy!
Hey man down here in south west Florida there is an old guy with three 1 ton Toyota pickups 2 with utility beds and one is a flatbed like yours! - except his all started life as bare dually chassis that he bought new, either way dually yotas are getting rare as hens teeth good luck to yah brother !
That's why I jumped at buying it so I can tow my 86 hatch. I'm currently talking to a company about match wrapping the car and the truck together in old school Toyota Racing colors
What’s the distance from the back of the cab to the centerline of the rear axle and then what is the distance from the centerline of the rear axle to the tail?
So far I've had a 2020 Corolla hatchback on it and it did OK so about 3,000 pounds, But the truck is getting ready to get stretched 5' and have a tundra drive train installed
I believe those dually axels were known to fail with like wheels falling off if you overload them. Considering the weight of the corolla and the bed you may want to do your own research... It’s been awhile but I was looking for one to build as a carrier for my 77 celica but decided against it because of that. Still really cool truck but look into it to keep your yotas safe!
Toyota dually are life been owning one for 5 years I put a lot of work into my truck check it out on my channel 1988 Toyota dually original chassis from the factory
Amazing

Very cool truck!! I would be more than proud to drive something like that!!!!

That is awesome Steve! I don't think we'd be allowed to do that conversion over in the UK, but its so cool! Congrats on the 1k subs👍
I think it's a good buy in that it's unique and something you will enjoy driving around.
It would look cool with some artwork on it
Do you still have this? Is it for sale?
Wow cool! I have a 1ton dually also. Going to use it to tow my drift tacoma to the racetrack!
Do it bro I just went to your channel And subscribed I like what you've done with your 1-ton so far
Whats the payload and towing capacity
Is there a pull out ramp to load vehicles on it??
Yes there are 2 metal ramps that you hook up to the back of the truck
Totally a sweet truck! I found a dually Hilux on FB Marketplace. Definitely want it!

After 1985 the trucks were true dually trucks with correct hubs but prior models will have that problem 😂😂
I’m making a flat bed out of mine.
