This game is awesome. It's a very straight forward, pure kind of game. No collectibles or secret areas. Replaying a level with different play styles earns stars, which are used for simple gun upgrades. Otherwise there's no fluff or padding. Great visuals and music. The slow-mo mechanic is really well done. If you liked Assault Android Cactus or Geometry Wars you'll like this game.
Although this looks pretty damn cool, one thing I noticed after a few seconds of watching is how outdated ragdoll physics are beginning to look. If they would have sprung a few more dollars on the Euphoria engine it would have taken this game to a whole other level.

There is also no way to tell when your character is still in doge roll or has completed the roll which leads to cheap kills. maybe because the HK setting was the setting for most John Woo films whose style this game is clearly imitating, it ain't just the city that made heroic bloodshed films heroic bloodshed films, it was also the shootouts, the destruction of interior offices, restaurants, rooftops and casinos, go back and watch a lot of the John Woo films from 80s/90s, gunfights rarely, if ever happened outdoors in them.

Play it on hard. The slow motion gets reduced greatly. Hard as hell but fun as hell too.
