Hello my beautiful Anti aging peeps....Hope you are all having a beautiful day...for those of us on the East Coast...be SAFE...and smart! This is a two parter on how I keep my pores clean. As we age they seem to have a life of their own...I have found OIL to be the best at breaking down SEBUM(OIL) that collects dirt and enlarges the pores...I hope that this will give you some ideas that may work for you....It will come in 2 parts...it was just to long for one.....Have a great day...Leave all your comments below...I love hearing from you all...

Wonderful two-part video with great instruction! It is so helpful to be able to watch you performing the steps as you talk us through them. Perfect timing for me as just yesterday I started treatment on the pores on my nose with steaming and extra Clarisonic attention. Going to follow this video today - Thank You! Thank You! olive, avocado, grapeseed and coconut are all fine oils...In part 2 at the end I mention all about using them...:))
YES olive oil will work as will jojoba oil...I do mention this in the end of part 2....:))...oil breaks down oil...so if you have a favorite oil ...go for it!

great video! I just started using cleansing oils and already see an improvement in my pores and it has also lessened my oil production during the day. love it and it's now a staple in my routine. glad you are feeling better
I used to do the oil cleaning method in a different way (oil on a washcloth) and never saw any results. I followed the steps that you outline in your two-part video (three times in one week) and I can not believe how clear and wonderful my skin looks!!! This is why we love you soo...much because you keep it so real. I have fairly large pores because in the past I have suffered with Rosacea. I do have it under control. I'm hoping that doing this cleansing treatment will help minimize my pores! P.s You'll be happy to know that now I'm doing more masks a week instead of once a week. And I have to say my skin is feeling great! Thank You for all you do for all of us!!! We appreciate you!

That would be more of a facial which I cover in my facial video...steaming is very good at softening the skin...in preparation for the next steps...the oil, if used as a daily cleansing method will effectively break down the sebum...Thanks so much for your suggestions...Have a great day!

Yes you can use jojoba oil...the oil I used was Dermalogica's Pre Cleanse oil...the mask are from clarins it is the HP brightening line...thanks so much

Thank you for doing this tutorial. I have those deep large pores and have been looking online to see what I can do myself to clear them up and control them. This has been very helpful indeed. I want to try the Dermalogica cleanser you used. I have combination oily skin and hope this product will benefit me. Thank you for your constant fight against the aging process.

I have actually been making my own oil cleanser for a little over two years now. I use 3 different oils and also add essential oils to it. I wash my face with it every night and love it. It never makes me break out.
have you ever tried Mary Kay's microderm abrasion product? It's wonderful and I love it. The texture is fine, it does a wonderful job on exfoliating for me..

This past year has been crazy with my with my health and having 5 surgeries for different reasons my recent one 3 wks ago, so my skin has been neglected because of this but I have been very blessed to do the things I love now. Tammy, another great video, thanks. I too have a clarisonic and wasn't awre that I could use it with products other than cleaning ones. I am off to do a facial cleaning now. Aroma is very important to me, if a product doesn't smell nice, I can't use it. Silly I know but that is how it is. Can't wait to see part 2 of this video. Have a lovely day. I do once or twice a month...and YES olive oil will work for this as will jojoba oil...I mention this at the end of Part two...all it takes is OIL to break down OIL...Have a great night...:))

I recently bought a lipstick from Rimmel called provocalips ( the brightest red) and it was terrible, it really dried my lips out to the point that bits of skin was coming off and did the same thing, it stuck my lips together the same way ( safe to say I only used it the once but I had to do some work on my lips to get them back to normal) so thank you for sharing that with all us ladies and the brilliant skin regime, dermalogica do great products but are a little pricey :) Lots of love xxx

Hi Donna...I use a mix of vinegar and water heated up to clean all my beauty tools....Always wear a hat out in the sun....never lay out in it with my face exposed...if without makeup I always have sunscreen on ( it has to be very thin or it breaks me out)...I am so happy things are returning for you after this horrible storm..we only had strong winds with LOTS of rain...

I have done the oil treatments on my t-zone..concentrate on my nose, and noticed a reduction of blackheads on my nose, after doing this weekly,,I only use products I already have, olive oil with a tiny bit of jojoba oil mixed together and it does work!! I have learned to take time for ourselves and you help all of us age gracefully. Thanks!
I used coconut oil to do this AFTER I did my facial waxing. Cleaned the pores and cleaned the wax off at the same time. My skin felt WONDERFUL! Now, if I can just get the teens and young adults to try this. THANKS for all you do and share!
Thanks for this video. I'm a little older than you and as you said I've noticed my pores enlarging too. Thought I left that behind as a teenager. It is really bothering me now and I am wondering what to do. This video is so helpful. Will start the treatments and see what happens. I need to pay more attention to myself these days and take some extra time just for me. Thanks again.

Such a wonderful way to speak of your mother-in-law -- that you remember her, even though she doesn't remember you... I go to nursing homes and I can tell by the way the patients with Alzheimers react to my dog that they have no visitors. If all people would think the same way you do -- just because they don't remember us - we remember them. And I have started Oil Cleansing too - wow, wonderful and my skin looks terrific.

Thanks for the new video Tammy. I too looove skin care. My sisters-in-law (all 5 of them!!) always teased me and I'm sure rolled their eyes about my obsession since I was in my 20's but now we are older in our 50's-60's and I have NO wrinkles and beautiful skin. I do have a bit of sagging but at 63 I expect that. Nothing feels as good to me as a good treatment and facial. I live in the western part of NY and we are really starting to get the storm now.
