I love these videos. You two became a part of my morning routine. Get up, make coffee, watch your video, start working from home. So thank you for sharing more of your lives with us. ❤❤❤❤
Cheers! I love starting my daily routine with you two. I sip a cup of tea and enjoy a peek into your world. The weight gain is such a relatable experience for me. Been battling my tastebuds forever. I'm 62 and it is still a daily consciousness. Finding the will power to not eat the things, that's the hard part. But- when you find the right insentive it helps. For me right now it is the possibility of a new knee! I still have mountains to climb damn it! Maybe for you it can be the goal of you and Bobby's next thru hike... I'm sure you know all this, but it can help to know you're not solo in this weight battle boat. I look forward to your updates. Enjoyed the tour. Excited to see the van reveal! 💜
A friendly suggestion, since we noticed in several videos you drinking sodas. We like them too, but they are such a big factor in weight gain and as we all know, very unhealthy. Something to think about. All the best.
Hi we met you at the Midway store by Lake Wenatchee my son and I enjoy watching your videos and we laughed today because he just painted his old Subaru car tell Bobby the van looks good ! You should come back to Holden and enjoy the mountain life! Take care , Cody and Chelan
Awesome paint job on the van so glad Bobby is using a breathing thingee, can't remember what you call it 🙂 Yes, that's a challenging weight gain. Sigh. Food. Such a challenge. Can't live without it. Can't live with too much of it. Got to find your balance now..... and you will. (not to be gloomy but menopause will shift it all around again, so be prepared to reach for new balances then.... but that's OK because it's way down the road and also you can handle that.... you are BossBae )
Weight gain sucks. I have struggled with my weight since high school and have tried all the diets. The only things that kept the weight off was running and backpacking. Wrecked my knees and IT bands running and now have two titanium knees. Thank goodness for medical technology! I am now taking Wegovy and it has been a game changer. I am 70 years old, 5’2” and currently weight 147. We still hike (couldn’t live without walking in the woods in the mountains). You are doing just fine! A famous raft guide told us once: no matters what happens, it’ll be all right! Don’t forget to get out into those woods!
Wow!!!! What an incredible video! To both of you, excellent job! Can Bird Call do a video on how he painted the van? He did one hell of a damn good job!!!! - Shybee
Hey there. I’m 150 which would be considered heavy for someone my height but I’m well endowed let’s say so that accounts for a big part of it 🤪. Maybe you have plantar fasciitis. If you do, I know the pain and would recommend daily exercises specifically for it. There are some good ones to follow on YT. I healed without seeing a doctor, but that’s me and I only go for medical assistance if totally necessary.😂. Love the van and happy trails.🤘🏻🥾⛰️
Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely look into those exercises. 🫶🫶 I’m not so much concerned with a number in the scale but how I feel and right now I feel soft 😅. You rock! Thank you 🥰🥰
I’ve really enjoyed your videos. May I ask, is your foot pain in your heel? If so, have you tried taping your arch? I had severe plantar fasciitis and after seeing a podiatrist and having my arches taped along with following the doctor’s suggestion to wear Stegmann clogs might pain is completely gone. Game changer for me. Anyway, thanks for sharing and happy trails.
Yes that exactly. Thank you 💪 I do carry a lot of muscles so typically I weight heavier but I can tell with this I gained a lot of fat. Gotta hit those weights more!
I’m sure you know all this but my guess is your body was in a bit of starvation mode while hiking and it’s having a hard time turning off and it’s holding onto weight now like your life depends on it! I find this happens more with women. My advice is to not restrict too much because that will perpetuate the cycle. Just some food for thought 😉
Thanks for the advice! Yes, I’m sure you’re absolutely right. I’ve increased my protein and trying to cut sugar but I’m not so much restricting. I understand tho, I have a lot of triggers when it comes to food.
I like how you talk to your mom. Yes, your heel will heal. Earthing, DMSO, epsom salt soaks, TLC, Ayurvedic creams, MSM, you got this. My friend who walked the PCT said it took months for her feet not to hurt. One hiker (survive or thrive) said he uses VEVO barefoot shoes (in Hawaii). I think different shoes could help. Also, comfrey soaks. Comfrey the comforting. Has minerals and the foot has the largest pores so the foot soaks are ideal. There is also something called ionic foot bath.
I've been walking the property's tiny hills up and down there is a big cat in the area that has me off the local trails after work...the property runs along i5...noise!!!
@@TravelWritePaint Kitty still prowling, ate a local pet, guessing I'm the slowest of the three of us, my lab, basset hound cross, and even slower than my chubby chihuahua. so still sticking to public areas.
My advice is increase your protein and decrease sugars. If you diet is focused on protein and fruits and veggies and less processed plus add weight training. If you build muscle your metabolism will increase. It's a mistake to think more cardio means less weight, this is true for women. Build muscle and then you'll lose fat
Heyyyy this looks like the old you in that PCT green hoodie😂 blessings to you both,,,I HAVE TRIED THIS FOR MY SORE HEAL AND FEET AND IT WORKED SO I AM PASSING IT ON TO YOU LAST THING IN THE DAY SOAK YOUR FEET IN WARM EPSOM SALTS WATER THENNNN LIE WITH YOU FEET ON THE WALL RAISE PERPENDICULAR TO YOUR BODY LIKE AN L ,,I WOULD HAVE LONGGGGGG TO BE BACK IN THE BUSHES PEACE AND QUIET
Ahhh. You just have to take up heavy smoking. Like a couple packs per day. You see all those super skinny older folks at the grocery store that reek of nicotine. Yeah, that’s the way to go. 😂
You look wonderful. Stop stressing. Per Google Your metabolism slowed down Metabolism is the sum of chemical reactions that take place in the body's cells to provide energy for vital processes and the creation of new organic material

It is definitely a struggle! I’m sorry to hear about your knee!!
Thanks for sharing as being a part of my life too! ☺️
Just thanks for letting us into your day😊
My pleasure 😊

Yes! giving up soda was one of the first things we did.

Yes. Right in the heel though my ankle is also sore in the mornings.
Interesting, I’ll have to check into that!
Thank you!☺️
HI, love the videos. I had foot pain. I bought orthopedic sandals or shoes. Helped a bunch!
Good to hear you found something that works! Foot pain is no fun.
Thanks for the suggestion
What's your weight goal? About something in the middle 153 ? You're very fit strong athlete ! I like the paint job on the van !😊

@@TravelWritePaint I completely relate
nice paint job. how much prep? lots of sanding? chem cleaning?
A lot of taping! Didn’t sand this time around. No chem cleaning either. It was more or less a quick touch up!
Google about your heel, I did and it said Planter fasciatis.....I've been trying to work it out for several months now.
Oww! I’m sorry you’re dealing with that. I’m hoping it’s getting better. 🙏
I just ordered shoes and inserts! Let you know how it goes!

You’re totally right about the protein! Thanks for the advice!
How tall are you? You carry your weight well. I’m sure you are lifting also. Get a pair of plush Hoka’s for your heel.
