    Such a bummer!
First off, Syed, I want to say I love watching your reactions! Great job!
Second (and Rick Beato has talked about this at length on his channel) Blockers are cutting their own throats. These bands, who were producing music 40, 50, 60 or more years ago, are not relevant to young people today, and will be forgotten unless they are brought out and presented on platforms like this. I'm 62, so I remember a lot of this stuff from when it was on the radio, and I have a lot of the albums. But it's channels like yours that keep this stuff alive for new generations. There are so many new artists, putting out music independently these days... I if you don't want your great music to be forgotten, don't block!
Anyway, this ends up all right... Love your channel!

That’s a real shame, you’re my favorite reactor to some of the best contemporary music of the 20th century. Your intelligent comments - plus true interest in the musicians, lyrics, and the impact the song may have had at the time. I truly hope you work it out. Looking forward to your next video - good luck. 🍀👍🏼 ❤

Syed, I've been a loyal follower since 5,000, Do what you can to stay on. I personally like when you showcase older bands from the 70s and 60s and there are a ton of great artists that inspired the music of today besides the Beatles and the Stones. Hang tough, perhaps this situation is a blessing for you.

Really enjoy your channel Syed, I found you falling into Led Zeppelin reactions a few weeks ago and stuck around for Pink Floyd and others…there are a lot of garbage react channels. Yours is one of the best. I hope this system changes, it astounds me that bands or record companies or whoever try to throttle channels keeping 40-50 year old music alive and engaging new young fans.

I'm one of those who found your channel and your reaction to "When the Levee Breaks" and remember thinking 'This guy gets it". Been a fan ever since. I've enjoyed the interaction with the other viewers knowing that, for the most part, they are younger. I believe we learn and grow when we can bridge the generation gap, sharing and respecting our different points of view. I've learned much from others here. I hope you can keep this going, as I've said before, you stand alone and at the top of the many who try this thing. I'll always remember you singing Rebecca Black LOL....jk

You're the man Syed. You do an awesome job. Your interpretations and analysis are quite exceptional. Even when I might disagree with certain points you make, I have respect for the intelligence, eloquence and quality of your work. Whether you want it or not my hope is in this tiny nook of the world we put all prejudices aside to enjoy life. You even got a 55-year-old classic rocker from Minnesota to go out of my comfort zone and look around to explore rap. It's still growing on me, but my respect for the genre has increased. I still can't do country though. Keep pushin on. I will remain a subscriber and wait to see what happens. Peace and love to all.

It's just so freaking annoying that they don't realize what a favor you are doing for the property holders and instead they rape and pillage. It's just disgusting.

    • @pamelah848

I am a contemporary of the Beatles and from the beginning thought they were very overrated. They have been credited with practically everything musical that happened after their arrival. I try to be an objective person and have continued to try to understand that phenomenon but have to say that when I ask others my age why they liked them so fanatically, invariably the novelty of how they looked comes into the picture. I've come to the conclusion that novelty and their Britishness, though irrelevant, had much to do with their success. The James Bond films were all the rage then, too.

    • @stevedahlberg8680
      @stevedahlberg8680 10 місяців тому +1

@@pamelah848 well, I am a middle-aged guy and their looks had nothing to do with it for me. Part of it probably was all the hype when I was in grade school and by the time I got the junior high I started buying their early albums and work my way through their whole collection and of course a lot of that stuff you still heard on the radio. But I've been a musician my whole life and a lover of music and I absolutely loved everything I heard. This was before seeing anything but just occasional pictures in the record albums. For me it was about how amazing they sounded and how fun the early stuff was and how incredible and creative the later stuff was. I like all kinds of musics from every genre and from around the world but I still love the Beatles. I like everything they've ever done. And I can't say that about very many bands. Lynyrd Skynyrd is another one that comes to mind.

I have regularly been astounded at your capacity to see your way into lyrical content that has eluded me for decades. I’m disheartened that your channel could go away. Telling them how important these channels are to expose young people to music from the past....it seems like You Tube WANTS this music to die, and NEVER be appreciated by the current generation and generations yet to come! You have done well, Syed. Your comments have an approach that gives us oldies a new take on songs we've been listening to for decades.
I have noticed that some channels of reactors watch old live videos of the Beatles and always seems like they go through. Maybe also because the sound is flawed with screams and usually cut short to satisfy the blockers. Another I have seen have used segments of the music so the whole song doesn't come through to us, the viewers, it can be a bit crap but in one video you can cover more tracks. Bad trade off but still, you get to hear and comment.
Whatever, it's not happening on all bands. There's nothing from stopping you from actually listening to the albums and commenting on them.

What a shame. I really enjoy your channel. Your thoughts and comments about the music your share with us are well above many sites of this kind. Hope you can come up with some solution.

I would definitely miss the channel if it disappeared. I don’t really understand the attitude towards copyright in these videos anyway. Keeping this channel going is surely going to increase the artist’s exposure and chances of selling more product. I’ve collected records and CDs since I was 10 (in 1981) and If I like a track enough, I’ll end up going out and buying the album. People can become lifelong fans that way. I think it’s hugely shortsighted of UA-cam and / or record companies to restrict access to music.

I posted a few videos awhile back. I put them unlisted, so they do not come up on searches. I made them for an acoustician friend, who'd done the sound design for a new theater. I did half a dozen or more videos of rehearsals and a show so he could hear how it sounded, including from a box seat where the stage monitors interfered with the room's sound. Rehearsals - live covers not ever released by the artists who performed the songs. Not even published videos, just unlisted, so I could share with the acoustics guy. Nothing Shazam would recognize. I was more than a little surprised when I got copyright notices for those. One of many instances where dealing with algorithms that make these decisions is problematic.
You provide detailed analysis, Syed. This is what "fair use" is about. If your thorough, in depth, commentary isn't "fair use", it's hard to imagine what is. I'll keep an eye out to see what you do next. (I almost never comment; I logged on especially to say this.)

Syed doesn't post the Fair Use disclaimer at the beginning of each video, not sure if it would make a difference.

This is pure lunacy. As someone who’s never been very interested in the Beatles catalogue this a window to discovering and venturing through the music that I would be otherwise to lazy to listen to. Instead of blocking you, you should get payed for the promotion you’re giving.

I often watch your videos, good quality work. You should try doing a reaction video on a Beatles song called "Helter Skelter" off their White album. It was one of those songs that broke the mold and paved the way for future songs of this caliber.

I'm shocked! You have been extremely careful with your reactions. Nearly ever do you up load a live music video but I don't know how yt works either. I know you can be fined. I think yt selects certain channels and makes the job very difficult. perhaps it's certain music like the Beatles and the Eagles calling attention to you. Have you spoken with other creators on yt to discuss your way around this? I would hate to see you go so early In your career. stay strong.

Because I'm a fan of irony, I must point out that, upon arriving for this video, the "likes" were at exactly "404," which, of course, means "Page Not Found." I immediately smashed it up to "405," LOL, so let's hope Fate goes along. Wow, I sometimes wonder if I should tone down my remarks on, say, covid controversies or climate change or what have you, since I'm often on the "wrong" side of such things, but I would really hate the constant egg-walk YOU guys have to endure with this. Good luck, and I say that for selfish reasons as well, as you and a few others especially have the coolest reaction content and deserve to keep being seen and heard. Never understood why all these peeps are against these great bands getting even more exposure and rapturous praise. Thanks for all you HAVE given us!

  • @SketchyMagpie

Something I have seen other reactors do which is FAR from perfect but should, in theory, be 100% guaranteed to avoid any issues is to link the video in the description and get the viewer to sync when they hit "play" with you so that you don't actually include any of the song. Of course you would have to do all your analysis at the end of the song as pausing it would cause sync issues but then you wouldn't have to be pausing it anyway because there would be no copyright issue.
The downside, as far as I see, is that this method kind of requires a desktop computer or laptop to work smoothly and not everyone will want to make the effort.

Maybe reach out to some other reaction folks for some advice. I know they’re essentially strangers but I’m sure some of these folks are super nice and approachable if you can reach them.
Unfortunately it seems like Beatles (and Hendrix is even tougher?) is a high bar. I thought Zeppelin was rough but a lot of folks react to them.
Keep going even if you need to just stay away from the danger zone artists. You're the most articulate reactor I’ve seen with your thoughtful analysis.
