In this video we take a look at a very cheap Range Rover Sport HSE which is possibly one of the cheapest Later shape Range Rovers I have seen to date.

Matt paint, suspension issues, black wheels, dodgy reliability, I'd run a mile.

I agree on the 'Matt Pack', looks like a drug dealer special
matte finish is not a new thing though. A mate of mines father had an R Type Bentley with two tone matte grey finish. I see quite a few Benz and BMWs in Melbourne (Aust) with matte paint but I am not so sure that some of them are not wraps.
Nah it's black wheels & dark tinted windows that give you that look.

Paint job , suspension , broken mirror cap , points to all show and no go ( or maintenance ) . Run away or that 6 month warranty will eat all the profit from that and several other cars
Leave the hazard lights on cos it will have broken down in couple minutes later

Ex WBAC buyer here, I was at 2k below bottom book .... suspension, paint, missing wing mirror cover, black alloys .. just didn't look cared for to me !!

100% correct. Black wheels and Matt paint are replulsive unless ypu are 18 and know no better.
Insurance is very expensive on those as they are very easy to steal and get stolen often

Have seen some nice range rover sports and vogue 2014 /2015 for £12k to £14k on trade sites I bought a 2016 porsche cayenne, euro 6 off a mate recently £23k of factory extras, 66000 miles I gave £23000
Actually went for more than I thought with big question over paintwork and obvious suspension failure

To answer your question, they are cheap because they are a money pit. God awful quality all round. Wouldn’t touch anything RR with a 100ft barge pole.

The obvious reason modern range rovers like these are cheap is because they have horrible reliability and your gonna have to pay alot of money on maintenance pretty often

These kind of big, expensive to buy and expensive to run cars, are just a waste of money in my opinion. People have them to show off to their friends and neighbours, and to go to the supermarket. Absolutely no need for something like this unless you live on a farm or something. I have no time for people driving them to pick up the kids with.

I test-drove Alan Shearer's matt black F-Type R a few years ago. Bought an RS5 instead in the end because I'd already owned 4 F-Types. Great JLR cars in my experience...never let me down (if you don't count a faulty head unit stopping me using the phone & sat nav) or had a major problem in 6 years combined ownership.

Lee if you was a rapper, an Indian restaurant owner, or some form of narcotic dealer then you’ll see the appeal in Matt-black RR’s. It’s because you’re not, like most, it’s now ruined in our eyes. And as for selling it on. How much money does all the above mentioned incomes generate in 12 months time, so they don’t care about deprecation. When I worked for BCA I must of seen and drove 3,000 examples of all different specs of those cars. You can’t beat a RR, but they really can have some issues too

Still a lot of motor for under £11 grand this makes them now affordable to buy but impossible to insure so where is the market for them nowadays..
I tell you why as I just had one and at the same time my wife has a jag e pace it’s the diesel erg valve glow plugs and Dpf these go all the time if your not doing motor way miles stay clear of these 2 cars they are rubbish utter rubbish they get stolen all the time also as they can steal them now with or without the key get a petroleum car much better

Matt paint is actually more aero efficient than gloss, hence why F1 teams have Matt paint.

As soon as I saw it, even if I'd really wanted one I wouldn't have put a single bid on it unless I had gotten close and seen that it was wrapped and not painted. Peel the wrap off and who cares the colour, it's better than matt black and sort the other issues out.
Love our RRSport, but if you cant get insured and the running costs are too steep then the book price has to come down as people just cant afford them, im not looking forward to my insurance renewal price

Colour doesn't matter- nobody wants to buy it because insurance and maintenance costs will drain your pocket more than side chick. Just look at rims - last owner probably stamped last mot by himself with potatoe stamp so forget about oil change but have in mind he was first at every traffic lights in his village. It didn't appear on auction because he doesn't have time to get calls from autotrader buyers - I can bet everything this rr is bottomless piggy bank
