Oh god, you are actually the one and only who shows the RGB presets, thank you for that! Really appreciate it 👏 I searched the whole internet for this and couldn't find a single thing.
Love guys like you and Flossy going hard for us while you're under the weather. We trust you and value your opinion so that effort is mega appreciated. Feel better bro. 💪🏾
Thanks man! I appreciate your support and loyalty! Luckily I pulled out of the sickness, but then a day later I got nose surgery haha! That’s why I am wearing a sideways tampon in the last short I made 😂. It has been a crazy few weeks! Luckily I am pretty much healed up now!
How does the mic handle vibrations? My current desk/table setup is very unstable and moves around really easily. I also have a bad habit of tapping my desk. Is the generated noise suppressed well or is the resulting noise loud and noticeable like it is with the Samson Q9u?
I hope u can do a review of the maono pd200x.... btw the vo 7u is at $ 84 on amazon. What a steal, only thing holding me back is the pd200x which i think sounds a bit better with usb/xlr connectivity
Sm7b was more because “I had to” or people would get mad. So many people said that for the FiFine K658 review… which I think is a bit silly, but whatever. I actually thought about doing the PodMic, but I actually prefer the SE V7 to the PodMic a little bit… 😬 I let my own bias get in the way 😂 I can do an audio test between the two and send it to you if you want!
So the headphone Jack on my deity on this on other Amazon reviews are defective because they’re preproduction models? And that we have to replace them with new ones?
Boya just released a new Dynamic Microphone called the BOYA BY-DM500 and there aren't ton of reviews about it yet, would you take a look at it in the future?
Finally i have enough money to upgrade my microphone, thinking about buying K658, do you think it's worth it or there is better mic on that price range?
@@iitskloud2113 100%!!! It feels like a studio microphone without needing XLR. It doesn't catch alot of background noise compared to other mics. The mute/unmute button on the gain dial is touch sensitive. My friends can hear me "crystal clear like 1080p in mic quality" as my friend would put it. Such a big help for interviews and meetings.
They are awesome!! I kind of made a fuss about them repairing it. They wanted $1,000 to repair it, but they refused to tell me what was wrong with it. I had never dropped it, there was no physical damage. I BABIED that camera. So I tried reaching out to several different Canon people, and no one was helpful. I finally broke down last week and paid it, so they should be finishing it and sending it back to me soon. It REALLY makes me want to fully switch to Sony. When I was exclusively shooting Sony I reached out to them once and they were amazing. Canon really lost my trust and royally pissed me off. I’ll make sure it works when it gets here and if you still want to check it out, let me know!
@@AudioHotline for sure. I was considering renting one - but if we can manage to work out how you can send it to the frozen tundra of Toronto - I would be down for sure.
That option would be nice. Basically if the RGB wasn’t enabled, the mute button wouldn’t engage the blink… I’d like that. Sadly the red blink always happens even if the RGB is disabled. Cover it up with black gaff tape? 🤣 Check out the Maono PD400X, it came out a little while after this mic and it sounds really solid, no distracting RGB!
After having watched your blind comparison test and Harris Hellers review (ua-cam.com/video/1HxO6ow-OB4/v-deo.html), I am interested buying the Deity VO-U7 (special offer for 156 €) instead of the FiFine K658 (around 110 €) but I am not fully convinced as you have shown (here: ua-cam.com/video/8gbqq5eD-ug/v-deo.html) that one should use the SM7B windshield on the FiFine K658 while the VO-U7 standard version comes with no windshield, at all. Therefore, I am stuck on a decision. Could you perhaps do a small video with the K658 and the VO-U7, both with the (most, haha) suitable windshield? Furthermore, the gain knob seems to somehow be confusing to work with as I've read that "it basically affects when the built-in limiter kicks in. If you move the knob counter clockwise to the left, that increases the gain. If you turn it clock wise, it reduces the gain. Reversed as assumed." Naaackers (ua-cam.com/video/YJuwUQNONPc/v-deo.html) also seems to have some struggles with the knobs and there is also a strange ground noise appearing. So, with the knob functions being less practical and without applying all those extra functions usefully, there seems to be no benefit anymore above the FiFine. What do you say? Did you recognize such noise (could it be a result of the RGB) and is the mic still worth its higher price?

I’m not even a cat person but having the kitty come to you for sound tests is making my life so much better 😂
First video for this mic with distance tests thank you !
Enjoyed the blind comparison. My favorites were A, D, and F, and I was surprised that E was the Shure. That was the worst-sounding in my opinion.
The first one sounded so much different than the rest of them. Not necessarily bad, but just very different. Very crisp.
I all these mics with RGB on them are missing the most obvious trick: make the LED's react to the sound
feel better dude
Very entertaining and thorough, thank you!
Great review. I picked one up last night. Hope it works well on both PC and PS5 because that’s what Deity advertises.
This mic may not be Miss Right, but it’ll do right now.
*riff*
The Samson q9u is now only $119 on Amazon, would you suggest this over the q9u?
I liked the sound of C & D the best
I wasn't impressed with the q9u. sounds horrible.
Do you know if there any custom pop filters that fit this mic 😅
How does the mic handle vibrations? My current desk/table setup is very unstable and moves around really easily. I also have a bad habit of tapping my desk. Is the generated noise suppressed well or is the resulting noise loud and noticeable like it is with the Samson Q9u?
I think I like B the most. C is kinda ok. F... hm... sometimes I like it, sometimes not so much. This one is darker.

No rode podmic comparison?
I think these were all USB mics. The PodMic is XLR only. Much cheaper tho.
@@LawrenceArnell I didn’t know the shure sm7b was usb
@@Unlucky_Vampire I said "I think". But that SE mic isn't USB either so, touché.

How did you shot with an iPhone plus the camera plz?!
Great video. Please help me - I feel like buying this mic but it seems the audio from monitoring sounds awful, is it true? Thanks a lot.
a,d and f sounded best to my ears. with a as the very best.

Is the Samson Q9U compatible with smartphones? (Samsung S22 Ultra)
I’m wondering if the vo stands for voice over
I wondered that also. I’ll see if I can get that answer for us.
;)
@@AudioHotline have you got the answer sir?
@@AudioHotline Any updates??
It’s confirmed that “VO” does stand for Voice Over and that the “U” stands for USB.
Will it work with osmo 3
Technically speaking, yes the osmo action 3 should be able to power and work with the VO-7U. I haven’t personally tested that combo though.
can you add a shock mount to deity mic?
can you help me out? i'm looking into either this or the rode podcaster, would you mind helping me decide?
Absolutely get the deity. It’s better in every way.

For yt this or Rode Podmic USB? Indoor only. Room not prepared. Reading only. No singing.
I was sure that A was condenser microphone...It showed terribly all pronunciation imperfections. I liked the most D and F. I really like this video.
what are these cats called? :D
Guys! What’s the best usb mic for singing?
If I had to pick a USB mic for singing, instead of an XLR, i’d probably go with the Røde NT-USB (Not the mini version).
I absolutely love the Shure MV51 for singing. Did you end up getting anything?
Can you do a compilation video of all your kitty tests? I think it'll help me sleep
😹 I have definitely consider this. I probably will! We’ll see what mic is the real kitty purr champ!
The RGB is ruining it for me. If it blinks red when muted then it seems like it would just get annoying when the mic isn't in use.

It’s actually a Husky work bench from Home Depot… super heavy. I have never had another desktop stand do anything remotely similar to that.

the vevo boom arm I have right now, never does that.
