Why do they think it’s a good idea to ruin a well known Chinese tale? Jada Smith had to learn it the hard way after releasing her version of Cleopatra.
They only mention chapters 1 and 2, so I'm going to bet they didn't even play through most of the game.
Considering they only played the first two chapters, it's highly likely the female characters are showing up later but they just didn't have the patience to progress enough
Also, I know the "source" they're using. It's that one IGN article that used mistranslated statements and has been debunked a dozen times over by now, but that the media is STILL trying to push as fact
Hell, it seems more and more like the mistranslation was made intentionally, so their source is indeed that they made it the fuck up

Its funny because these game journalists are the same people who defended Yasuke in Assassin's Creed Shadows because its a fictional video game where they can include who they want, but when Black Myth Wukong makes a fictional game where they include who they want, they can't keep that same energy

It's ScreenRant. They're just a content farm that pump out nothing articles that are mostly wrong because of a lack of research, gaming knowledge, or geniune journalism.

I am russian and play alot of games where russians arent included or they are looked at negatively. You dont see me complaining about that, it is a game telling a story by people who may have different views than you or are trying to portray a different view than you just suck it up

Funniest thing I’ve heard is this is fake “drama” for the sake of it, these gaming journalists know the game is good but want to constantly seem like they have problems to get clicks. I like black myth wukong it’s a good game with challenging parts that is almost (key word there) like a souls game in terms of difficulty but has a god of war 4 and ragnarok type mechanics, basically you keep all upgrade worthy materials and items and don’t need to keep beating the thing that killed you. Also that they hate the game because it’s not keeping the western “standards” of all the political stuff and the movements and shit, people scream a lot online and just other BS like that. All in all it’s gaming journalists needing something to hate, because if they agreed with the audience it would come off as following the voice of the people or some shit.

A souls-like only needs similarities to souls in certain factors to be considered that, for me I see that a lot in the combat even from the trailer, it practically screams "Souls-like" Even on steam it says it's similar to ELDEN RING and DARK SOULS, that said, screen rant still sucks
