Sasha is one of the most consistent queens to ever compete, on top of being one of the most creative, and the most intellectual. She came in 2nd in 5 challenges, and she could have easily won all of them. Then she slayed the final lip sync challenge. People stare themselves blind on wins, but forget that it is not only a win that makes an impression. She is truly one of my favorite queens, and perhaps the best spokesperson for drag out there.

Black females learned to wear wigs from drag queens and the lingo from the ballroom scene. That's not to say that black women don't come up with slang, but usually much of urban culture stems from drag culture.

I'm not saying white people own any of it, they don't. I'm just saying if someone is part of the community that a word stems from and the community allows their presence, then it makes sense why we see someone like Trinity participate in the vernacular and culture. I acknowledged that black women do come up with different slang and I wanna reiterate that this is a separate subculture, but there's alot that is taught to us by underground subcultures within drag communities that makes up a huge chunk of modern slang and it's important to give credit where it's due - especially when some parts of our communities (mainly men) mistreat the lgbtq+ and don't give them or their spaces any respect.

My favorite part of this Untucked: Cynthia being nervous, and Sasha giving her a "power grip"....putting her hand over Cynthia's heart and calming her down, while everybody else fights in the background.

Sasha is one of the most consistent queens to ever compete, on top of being one of the most creative, and the most intellectual. She came in 2nd in 5 challenges, and she could have easily won all of them. Then she slayed the final lip sync challenge. People stare themselves blind on wins, but forget that it is not only a win that makes an impression. She is truly one of my favorite queens, and perhaps the best spokesperson for drag out there.

@@Parisroam - That's always been drag lingo. Let it be known that alot of what we assume to be black female slang is usually co-opted by the underground drag community. Black females learned to wear wigs from drag queens and the lingo from the ballroom scene. That's not to say that black women don't come up with slang, but usually much of urban culture stems from drag culture.

@@TabrinaSongs - By drag community, I mean black and brown drag queens. Look up most of the slang we use and you find that it originated in drag spheres. I'm not saying white people own any of it, they don't. I'm just saying if someone is part of the community that a word stems from and the community allows their presence, then it makes sense why we see someone like Trinity participate in the vernacular and culture. I acknowledged that black women do come up with different slang and I wanna reiterate that this is a separate subculture, but there's alot that is taught to us by underground subcultures within drag communities that makes up a huge chunk of modern slang and it's important to give credit where it's due - especially when some parts of our communities (mainly men) mistreat the lgbtq+ and don't give them or their spaces any respect.
I absolutely loved Sasha and Shea the whole season. I almost wish Shea had won in the end. BUT Sasha killed every final lip sync any one has done.
