EA are expecting people to shell out another £60 plus on this turd…with the attitude of “yeah we know the handle sucks ass but we’ll fix that later, after we’ve taken your money”. Any other sim would be offering these minor changes as a £10 DLC pack, and not balls up the handling physics!! The other skeleton in the closet is that stupid 60fps nonsense just to support older consoles - go faster but looks like shit, another example of money grabbing grotesquery…
EA know people will shell out their money for this title or any of their other titles without the expectation of improving gameplay. If someone else was in charge of this title, they wouldn't put improved handling behind a paywall. What is the complaint about 60fps? a title as easy to run as this, should be hitting 60 on all the lesser consoles. On PC you haven't got these restrictions with frame rate.
@@badgoogle9938 the physics are for some reason linked to the frame rate. And it is of course optimised to run at 60fps due to the restriction of the consoles. That means that even in PC it is faster to run 60fps. If you want the game to be smoother at say 120fps or whatever your pc can achieve, you will be slower in game by a small amount
I don’t think it’s as bad as some are saying but it does need something tweaked on the handling.. I think they need to fix the hotlap mode on ers..to like it is on 23.. but be able to use overtake with medium or none. Hotlap doesn’t feel much different from medium..
Sound and Front end twitch. Those need to be addressed . After driving the 5 hour trail i found the game to be easier to play than f1 23 . I like the handling, fits my style of driving. Lots of people are bashing this game and never even been on track. on thee 31st we will get a lot more racers views. Give it time! Im waiting on the 31st and its killing me watching you guys having fun :)
For them to say that they will not change the game engine since they know everything about it and then to go and fuck the game this hard is nothing short of amazing
I'm a pad player. The handling is bizarre, because in one sense, the handling is extremely hard to get a hold of, extremely hard to build a useable setup around, SO twitchy and on the edge... but at the same time it can also be very smooth and responsive and there are elements of it that make driving much, much easier. Tracks like Monaco are much easier, too easy, you can just breeze around corners you used to have to take really carefully. You can even basically slide around corners and not lose control, which feels far more arcadey to me. I've noticed my lap times are almost 2 seconds up on last year and I don't even have a decent setup. I'm still enjoying it, too, I get the impression I'll get used to it and once I get setups right, it'll be more enjoyable. I like the Fan Zone thing, fans fighting against each other for their favourite teams. As for the ERS, I don't mind it. The medium setting is basically the same as F123 when the ERS was off, the None setting is super slow but super fast charge, and the Overtake ERS mode is super strong and drains superfast. I've noticed it only recharges on medium on certain tracks. On Silverstone for example, you basically have to set it to None to recharge it at all. If you wanted to replicate last year's ERS, you'd basically leave it on Medium and only turn it on for very short bursts. You'd still get the same speed as last year overall, but much more all at once instead of gradually. Also, the engines on my TV sound like all the high end has been turned to zero and it's just 100% low end, but on your video here it sounds high endish, which is weird.
Honestly the real problem I have with the handling is no matter how little throttle I put in I genuinely spin out way too often, even with traction control on full too. Way more noticeable while using f2 cars but your point stands too. It’s likenthe slower you go there steering is just gone
So I have played this game for a few hours now since the release and I don't see that big of an issue with the handling I am a casual player but I think if people get used to it this game can be alot of fun I personally have a bigger issue with the hud bc I was used to kinda looking at the input info for my throttle and it's really hard for me now to actually read it but I have definitly less issues in some corners I used to have issues with in F1 23 I have played a bit of F1 2017 before and I actually think that F1 24 is a bit closer to that than F1 22/23 (I only have F1 2017/F1 22/23/24) but so far im quite happy with the game sure there is some room for improvement but it's not as bad as some people might think from content creators reviews
For casual players they can just turn on the ERS assist so they don’t have to mess with that even if this assist doesn’t works really well it’s better than nothing and for those that wants to use it manually i recommand just using it like real life drivers like if you want to push during the race use hotlap if you just wanna drive normaly use medium if someone is catching up to you put none so you are gonna have a lot of battery to defend yourself when he attacks you and if you wanna defend or overtake use overtake of course i think this is the perfect way to master ERS
I hate it. Im on controller. And im pretty quick. Like top 2-3% in last game. This game i cant get the car to turn. Also braking is horrible. And the engine sounds are awful. Which is not that big of a deal. But just overall cant believe how bad they Fd this game up. Last year was a great handling model imo
Handling: not perfect but got a lot going for it. Turn up steering damper and feel the ground effect load up on the FFB. Oversteer: Plenty of race coaches will say when you know when expect oversteer and work with it, it’s way faster than an understeer dominant car. Slides are catchable, even with the low speed loss of ground effect and traction is obvious and for once there’s time to react. It’s just too going to take an adjustment period. ERS: actually is really fun, I also miss this element from f1 2018. This will definitely shake up races. We really needed this element. I just wish I didn’t have to keep the MFD open to clearly see and check what mode I’m in. On first play I was immediately looking forward to hearing JD say “extra rotation”, I never thought I’d hear “over rotation” so soon. I think it’s easy to complain about anything, but the game has enough ways to fine tune your FFB settings to give the detail and control you need to keep it on track. We see cars get twitchy all the time in the real races, I look forward to seeing these moments in multiplayer and league races. Tyres: Need more time on track and longer races to have a clear opinion. Seems to scale with the length of race but trying to figure out when exactly i hit the cliff vs just having a slightly twitchy car.
Here's my thoughts as a top 20% wheel player, not the best, but good enough to understand what I'm feeling compared to F1 23 and other sims I play like iracing, Asetto corsa, ACC etc. 1. If you haven't played the game, I think you should stop trashing it - two reasons for this, 1 is that it's still fun and enjoyable and EA will bring patches and 2, EA will have a hard time understanding what to patch if literally everyone is complaining about literally everything, they need valid and tested feedback, not, "oh this games trash because I watched a streamer and they said so". After playing the game you may feel very differently, and whilst it's important to tailer the game to high-level professionals, the bulk player base is the 99% outside of competitive play, mostly players who wouldn't really benefit from a handling uplift anyway. 2. The handling is.... fine. I'm still around top 20%, so whilst there are some issues, it's consistent, I'm not slower than I should be, I still have fun, the issues aren't stopping the game being fun or playable by any means. There's a whole argument here for "oh it's F1 23 V2", I agree with these comments to a degree, it is more of a revamp than anything, but the new features and additions are categorically more fun than F1 23 and bring a better experience, in my opinion. I'm not saying the handling is better than F1 23, but everything else for sure, is better and more fun. We'll have to wait and see what EA do with patches in the near future. I've got about 18 hours in the game now and at least for me: The F1 world series feels a little better with the new additions and features - although not much has changes here really The career is now awesome in my opinion, the driver rating and other features make it much more of a textured experience, where F1 23 felt flat and boring very quickly. I haven't messed with driver career yet but I had a look and it looks pretty cool, lots to look at and do - if nothing else, it's something else for us to do other than smashing time trial and career most of the time. What I really want to put out there is that, this game is fun, if you liked F1 23 you are going to like this, it's F1 23 but better at the end of the day - now, the handling is obviously looming a huge black cloud over this at the moment, and it's uncertain as to what changes may be coming to make this better, but in my personal opinion, if the handling doesn't get much improvement, I'm still happy with my purchase and I won't be going back to F1 23, it's going to be uninstalled to reclaim hard drive space, and the only reason for this is that F1 24 is GOOD ENOUGH right now, again, in my opinion. I too and hopeful for some upcoming patches to address the handling but I will be enjoying the game until then. I hope this at least helps some of those out there that haven't played yet and have only been hearing negative things, it's not all negative. Great video man, thanks for talking about the game and addressing issues where it makes sense to do so, and putting your opinion out there and labeling it as such - not just making generic and vague statements that are put out like they are facts. Much respect man.
I love the fact it requires people to manage and pay attention to how hard they drive. You shouldn't be able to drive quali laps every single lap. It doesn't happen in real world racing plus aero steering in the front will seperate the racers from the whiners. Its a very welcome skill gap. You can push hard when needed but plan for the later part of fall off over the long haul. You can be conservative and take the risk of not making the ground back up but gain the positions when you do. I find it to be a Wonderful balance. The only reason most people are complaining is because they won't or can't adapt. Alot of great racers are complaining because they know they probably won't be as good as they were. Just my opinion. Im open to others.
Personally I Really enjoy the handling model . I think Time Trial need to have a fix because its way to sensitive and It feels like there is way to much oversteer but the handling model in Grand Prix mode and Career mode feel a lot better. If they tweak the handling model a little bit it will feel better and everyone will be happy
I stopped playing 23 a week after release because I couldn’t stay on track, this is after playing a ton of 22, and 21… I enjoy this more then 23 by far
Literally all they had to do with the handling model was improve the initial turn in, and add a little more rear grip when you go on power. Instead they go and make a mess of it. It genuinely impressive as to how you can mess something up this bad.
I would say that I agree with your sentiments. Although driving the car is very frustrating even after you’ve gotten used to it, the racing is more enjoyable than last year simply because of the Tyre and ERS difference
I have only done laps on 4 tracks on tt so far. What I can say is the corner entry is not enjoyable at all and doesn’t feel natural at all. The traction I think is too easy, but I do enjoy not getting wheel spin in 3rd gear anymore lol. Lockups aren’t bad to me I feel you can control them better than before. Just hope the racing is good once I go online.
Definitely ERS deployment is an area that may cause huge skill gaps. But I think especially in some of the races that are longer distances engine temp management will inhibit constant attacking. Thoughts on this?
I just tried it on the EA trial on PC with controller, feels weirdly jerky and i can now take certain corners full speed that I couldnt before which feels arcadey.
I gotta say i played 2 Races on Career Mode so far and it was a lot of fun to play as casual Player. The only thing was to adjust the Rotation Angle. After i set it to 410 degrees it felt alright to play but i get the point. It feels more like driving a GoKart than a F1 Car
Hot take: This is a better model for the F1 games, it's pretty much like it was in the 2010-2013 days, they were not trying to make a simulator, they were just trying to make fun games, in my opinion this is a better approach, make the game what people wished F1 to be in real life, competitive, compelling, fun. Even F1 E-Sports was terrible on F1 23, only drivers who qualified at the front had a chance at victory because there was simply no racing at all, just a train of hotlapers saving ERS for the last lap. They clearly were aiming to improve the racing experience and so far I'm enjoying this game way more than previous years, it is more arcade and I'm loving it, not having to fight a constant understeer and actually attacking the corners like F1 cars should. If they fix the slip angle and the grip that feels almost infinite this game is gold, It's actually funny that people complained every year that the game don't change, then a game comes out with changes, people just copy the same wheel settings from the previous game instead of actually taking the time to proper calibrate their hardware for the new handling 🙃
Casual CONTROLLER player here!!!: People who are saying this shit is okey are delusional. I played 23 at Ai level 70 so nothing fancy here, but as a casual controller player I can easily say that this handling system really sucks and the preset setups sucks too. Yes, I know what you all are thinking....."oh, presets"... Okey, I get it but you know, even a casual like me with freaking presets on a freaking controller could gain seconds on a lap by watching Limitless videos! I want this game to be good for E-sporters aswell as very good UA-cam content creators like Limitless but I also want it to be good for casuals on controllers. But here's the thing: It's not good for anyone! I hate it! F1 23 was good for most of us right? Couldn't they just transfer it onto 24?
Well I think the ERS system is realistic, because IRL drivers need a cool down lap to recharge between hot laps in qualifying. At least it's an improvement on previous seasons where you could do consecutive hot laps, which wasn’t realistic. Maybe a bit of tweaking, but the basic concept seems right
I like it but I'm a casual in open wheel. I downloaded it on steam. Connected my t248. The only thing I need to change is adding more force to the force feedback runs really stable on my pc.
Does anyone know why the front left tire keeps overheating and wearing down so much for me? I did Qatar and the Netherlands and after 6 laps the soft tires are at 35-40% wear. What needs to change from my driving or maybe the set up? Any tips?
It’s unbelievable really. The fans give EA/Codies a blueprint every year. New engine maybe, updated handling, updated damage model, etc. there’s really is just no excuse anymore. This years game is the biggest step backwards yet, and that’s mind blowing. And yes, the engines sound horrific.
I like the new handling model and like I said in another video, Verstappen has worked on it and other F1 drivers gave her opinions and feedback so it should be more realistic (Not sim realistic of course). The other thing is that when a new game comes out, most of the people expect that they are experts in it like in the game before. It doesn't work like that you have to get into the new game and get better over time again like if you get a new racing car with new behavior for a new season. I mean there are examples of games who messed up the handling and gameplay.... Yes we man games like you F1 2014 xD...... and are not fun to play. But even if I like the new handling I will not play it for long I think (I got it as a present for PS5) and get back to AC, ACC, I-Racing and even to F1 99-02, what I have rediscovered for myself. But don't get me wrong I repect your opinion and if you don't like it then its ok, sadly you can't please everyone.
Bad trend of simcade dev recently : built-in steering speed sensitivity/linearity. It just disappeared from calibration lately. It usually is here to assist pad player to change the steering ratio based on car speed. This game seems to bring that to the extreme by having it active for wheel users too... Even LMU has this issue if do not tweak config files out of the game.
I play F1 games since PS1. I am an experienced elite player, racing at 105% ai. I pre-ordered this game, like I mostly do every year, but this handling model made me quit the game after one day. I don't even want to get used to this. It feels unreal. I don't need a real sim although I race in assetto corsa a lot as well, but a racing game, arcade or sim, needs to give you the feeling that you drive a real car. It has to make sense and you should be able to understand the car. This car behavior does not make any sense at all. It's not understandable. I gave up. If putting the rotation to 500 degrees is necessary , then I'll pass anyway. 2022 was really bad, then they nailed it in 2023 (Besides all the EA F1world B$), and now this. 1 out of 3, I feel robbed. If there won't be a patch, I will never spend a € at EA no more. 🤮🤮
Here’s my opinion: I would consider myself causal (90 ai and medium traction and no abs) and I’ve got 11 hours on the game so far. I generally find the handling incredibly snappy but still enjoyable. I’m sure I wouldn’t be happy if I was more competitive and I do prefer f1 23 handling which I had 220+ hours on
I actually think the handling is better, when you see how F1 cars throw hard through the corners, that's the feeling I have with 2024, when you see how they drift a lot in the rain, 2024 also does better and handles better. The ffb is also better. In VR I can play everything on ultra, I have fanatec dd1.So I like F1 better, I enjoy driving it.If you watch F1 you sometimes see that she sometimes snaps an F1 car but never loses the car.I just find it more enjoyable to drive on both dry and wet tracks.than F1 2023.
Title: Why F1 24 Needs to Change the Handling Model Summary: In this video, the creator discusses the need for F1 24 to change its handling model. The video highlights the following key points: 1. Outdated handling model: The current handling model in F1 24 is considered outdated and in need of improvement. It fails to accurately replicate the real-life physics and dynamics of Formula 1 racing. 2. Lack of realism: The video emphasizes that the current handling model lacks realism, resulting in a less immersive experience for players. It fails to capture the intricate nuances of driving an actual Formula 1 car. 3. Player feedback: The creator takes into account feedback from the F1 24 community, highlighting the dissatisfaction with the existing handling model. Many players have expressed a desire for a more authentic and challenging driving experience. 4. Enhancing competitiveness: By improving the handling model, F1 24 can enhance the competitiveness of the gameplay. A more realistic model would require players to master the intricacies of Formula 1 racing, making it a more skill-based and engaging experience. 5. Embracing technological advancements: The video suggests that updating the handling model would allow F1 24 to take advantage of technological advancements in gaming. By incorporating advanced physics engines and realistic simulations, the game can deliver a more immersive and lifelike experience for players. Overall, the video advocates for a change in the handling model of F1 24 to provide players with a more realistic, challenging, and enjoyable Formula 1 racing experience.
idk, i have never enjoyed the handling more than this current one, i love how the car bites in the corners, i really don't want to get back to that boat like handling. i quite like this handling, reminds me of assetto corsa with the formula hybrid
I'm probably not good enough to criticize the handling, but seeing all the pros consistently oversteer so much in low speed tells me there's definitely something wrong with it.
I've played abour 7 hours of the game as part of my EA Play Pro Pass and yeah it's not great, there are some things I like. For example the little radio clips and stuff, basically everything I like should have been in F123. Im not a pro, but not casual either, I've got a decent sim setup and a really really good PC, I've noticed some performance issues, such as framerate drops, one crash. In terms of the handling I've definitely been struggling, my first hour was at TT on bahrain, I put in a good hour and although I ended up with a decent lap it was really a weird experience, in high speeds honestly its not that bad, its a bit different but not a big deal, the car actually feels pretty good in the high speed stuff. Where it's absolutely terrible is the low speed and corner apex, exit. The front end almost feels disconnected from the wheel. Traction is absolutely easy, getting on the throttle when the car is ready is no issue, where I've had issues is in the mid corner, turn in is super sharp and the car will just loose all traction and snap in the middle of the corner even if your not on the power. Its a very inconsistent experience so far, I cant fully understand when the car will do it. My fast laps are fast but instead of putting in fast lap after fast lap its not consistent enough. I honestly wouldnt really care IF the car felt decent to drive but it just feels weird on the wheel, its definitely better on pad but still not great. I honestly don't know if a patch can save it or not, I feel like they took input from drivers who said the car should be more pointy on the front end and just went to 1000 percent in that direction. The front, wheel and rear don't feel connected.
The new handling has potential. But it does need change. The way you can take some curbs now (watch Jarno Opmeer's WR at Vegas) is insane. It is just bad. Should not be able to cut corners like this. Let alone ride curbs higher than sky scrapers. If the steering ratio is fixed. And cars do not over rotate this easy it is a good handling model.
A.I are better, engine sounds are better then last year but still need improvement, career mode is more immersive, handling isn't as bad as some have said but it's far from perfect, luckily there is a patch coming soon that's meant to fix most if not all the problems with it, IRL ers is worth around 160 horsepower so none vs overtake being a massive difference isn't surprising
I like it 😄 played every F1 game since day one. This is packed with stuff to do, good graphics, nice menu presentation, good music shall I go on... Kids of today are spoilt try playing F1 on an Atari 🤣🏎️💨
I think the handling this year is very strange. You can get into a 20 or so minute rythm where it doesn't feel to bad, but then other times it feels horrible. Unfortunately, i believe F1 could go turn into Fifa where they just change it every year for the sake of it as they know they need to have a "selling point". Rather than making a solid handling model and upgrading every year.
I get they want to improve the game but I can’t hack the new handling, Bahrain turn one it was like the rear was locking even with abs on, and then just spinning when I tap the throttle
I dont mind it. i actually kinda like it. I have been playing since f1 2018. Im Not a pro e racer, but i have kinda enjoying the time playing so far and the racing seems fun so far. Idk people are always mad when the game releases some people will like some wont. F1 has never really been a true sim. If that is what you want, then there are way better options.
The handling isn’t really that bad... I do like pointed handling in gaming or in my real life auto cross and go kart set ups so this is not that hard to adjust to. Should be something imo “real” sim racers should accept and learn to adapt to if they all do it consistently…
they should have recharge None low medium high hotlap overtake And or costumible ers deployment for example when in mode high it will stop deploying and the end of the straight etc or low deployment before you get fullt traction and or hot laptop 2 laps so it deploya 50prcent in a full lap etc etc
I just want a full sim for F1, Codemasters has to be the one to do it due to licenses but I wish there were actual alternatives. Arcade racing just isnt fun anymore imo.
I gave up after almost a day. First of all it is clear that the game is not designed for a high end sim rig so it took me more than an hour to get it working on my hardware (in the end I had to disconnect the separate shifter and button boxes completely to prevent F1 24 from just disconnecting the controller during gameplay. It amazes me how little in the game changes yet still they take up a full year to release this new version. My guess it that an update to F1 23 would have made fans happier. So apparently they have spent that entire year with their developers screwing over the handling and force feedback models. Handling wise it is annoying to drive and after a couple of hours of frustration it is somewhat driveable but I simply don't want to. Regarding force feedback, perhaps it is a Simucube compatibility issue but since it worked fine in F1 23 I will also blame this on this dodgy new release. Driving the car feels really disconnected and the force feedback does not give anything other that steering resistance. So I am trying to get around the track with only visual feedback. After doing this for a while I just stopped. It is not worth my time and money to be in this game until EA has made improvements to actually make it worthwile.
I’m about ready to quit this game for good. The negativity and toxicity in this community is mad. It’s actually affecting my everyday life because i love f1 and sim racing so much but just can’t handle this anymore. What a shit show this has all become…. I just a want an f1 game on console that works without glitches and without a hating community with nothing but negative feedback. It’s depressing and I gotta realize when enough is enough. 115$ Canadian it cost to pre order this game and it’s broken….. what a rip off
At first I found it horrendous. I’m slowly getting used to it and I don’t hate it anymore. I guess we do need a patch for slow corners but its not that bad anymore
The engine sound is terrible and my biggest gripe with the game. The career mode has a lot of new features and actually doesn’t feel just like a copy paste. The handling is different and definitely worse but I’m staying open minded bc I wanted them to mix it up. One positive I will say that no one is talking about is the ffb it feels way better than f1 23. Coming from games like iracing the wheel just felt dead. Now I do feel a lot more of the car and what is happening but the handling does feel arcadey. Also I don’t like how I have to have the wheel rotation above 360
Another year with a EA game where people got frustrated. It's the same thing with Fifa. Maybe this version will be awfull all year. And the next year its better and people go buy again. The only thing you as youtubers can do is to stop buying and streaming this game when it's a bad product. EA plays psychologically with players so that people keep coming back, really just stop it all for a year or more and then let's see what will happen.
Hi LIMITLESS, I think this F1 is very fun to drive! Is it perfect? Absolutely not! Can it be improved? Absolutely yes! However, my hope for years has been to have 2 Formula 1 titles: one like this F1 24 and another official one, entirely simulation-based, but the simulation one should last 3-5 years.
Handling is very weird, sometimes tons of oversteer then ton of understeer and oversteer, switching up, even mid corner, its very weird, don't know what to expect from the vehicle, very unpredictable, twitchy...
Yeah, safe to say this isn't for me. I can accept that the F1 games were never proper sims, but they were always the best for immersion into "becoming an F1 driver" for a couple hours here and there. For the most part, the physics in the older games didn't break that immersion. This game looks absolutely awful, to the point that even that immersion factor is gone. Codemasters charging 60 euro or so every year for the bare minimum of work done is just insult to injury. As an aside, I've owned ACC for a few years now, and what Codemasters are charging AAA prices for (basically physics tweaks and new liveries/driver rosters), Kunos have given as FREE updates every few *months*.
I still suck in F1 23, at least I know the reason I can't turn is my lack of experience, and not the lack of a good handling model, which I would have if I got myself F1 24. Nope, I still have a lot to do in that game, I'm not moving on just yet, especially if the new one seems to be a downgrade. As it seems to be with most F1 Games, one is good, the next is shit, the third will be great again. I know Codemasters is split in two departments, apparently only half of them know how to make a great game
On controller its like driving on ice. I brake and start to turn while braking and just spin out. The handling is absolutely terrible. The f123 handling was infinitely better.
agree, but people do realise that 2023 is still available and servers are on,the best way to protest EA and push codies is to show the numbers....i know for a fact ppl will miss 2023
The handling model is great. Why change what the real F1 drivers say is close to the real thing to suit gamers that have no idea what real race cars handle like?!
This Ferrari Engine sound in game is a joke🤣 more like my electro RC car than original Ferrari F1 car. And they don’t care
Back to F1 2014

Damn the engine sound is dreadful in this game
F1 2018 had the best engine sound imho
@@Warrioruk Why ever since f1 2015 races in those games people are never really able to build a gap like in the F1 2010 to 2013 era?

EA are expecting people to shell out another £60 plus on this turd…with the attitude of “yeah we know the handle sucks ass but we’ll fix that later, after we’ve taken your money”. Any other sim would be offering these minor changes as a £10 DLC pack, and not balls up the handling physics!!

In F1 esports they all drive at 60fps for this exact reason. It’s dumb
Runs great on my pc. It's actually fun. The handing is fine. It's a down force car so it's goung to have tons of grip.
I don’t think it’s as bad as some are saying but it does need something tweaked on the handling..
I think they need to fix the hotlap mode on ers..to like it is on 23.. but be able to use overtake with medium or none. Hotlap doesn’t feel much different from medium..
The more you suck at every other racing game, the more youll enjoy f1 24
from playing career if you use med for 1 lap you get positive 10% depending on how much engine breaking you use ext, hotlap will deplete by 10% or so
The upshifts sound like an automatic slush box instead of a dual clutch gearbox.
You know F1 cars don't have DCTs right?
@@caiovilasboas5265that wasn’t the point tho the upshifts sound horrible
unpopular opinion but i actually like the new Handling in F1 24 NGL, its much sharper, and when you get the muscle memory corrected its way better
Frfr, its even better with my pedals too, People are hating on it to much
Too sharp, too arcadey, oversteer on turn in, understeer right after… for me it is like driving a 2014 ferrari
i'm using high nm moza gear and in vr cockpit view. Feels great.
Yeah, at first it was horrible, and don't get me wrong, it's quite bad. But just not as horrendous as some people say it is
For them to say that they will not change the game engine since they know everything about it and then to go and fuck the game this hard is nothing short of amazing
The engine sound is so far away from the reality ..I've no words anymore for this
Terrible is a good word to use
Maybe sliding the toe in bar a bit 🤡
Someone did a UA-cam video on how to fix it on controller, thru the settings, find it and you will feel better
I've got about 18 hours in the game now and at least for me:
The F1 world series feels a little better with the new additions and features - although not much has changes here really
The career is now awesome in my opinion, the driver rating and other features make it much more of a textured experience, where F1 23 felt flat and boring very quickly.
I’d be interested to know how fast the real cars can recharge the battery and if it’s in anyway like what we have in the game.
I like it. It feels better with no assists.
I stopped playing 23 a week after release because I couldn’t stay on track, this is after playing a ton of 22, and 21… I enjoy this more then 23 by far
I like the racing, handling and everything about it.
You just need time to adapt to the new model.
Literally all they had to do with the handling model was improve the initial turn in, and add a little more rear grip when you go on power. Instead they go and make a mess of it. It genuinely impressive as to how you can mess something up this bad.
Mr Horse approves this video
But isnt the ERS model similar to actual F1. I know they use their ERS lap to lap and the recharge us much faster.
But it's not quite like this
When Will we have a Update for Handling and bugs?
Code masters don't fix bugs.
Today,day one patch
I gotta say i played 2 Races on Career Mode so far and it was a lot of fun to play as casual Player. The only thing was to adjust the Rotation Angle. After i set it to 410 degrees it felt alright to play but i get the point. It feels more like driving a GoKart than a F1 Car
I m gonna against the flow and say that I absolutely love the new game and handling model 😃
How is the ERS being more potent a problem? all I hear is personal preference.
So far I am enjoying this new handling model. I have more control of the car on the traction and can control snaps of oversteer easier.
in-the-moment voice JD and voice-over commentary JD. name a better duo.
At the very least they've FINALLY FIXED THE REV LIGHTS ON THE STEERING WHEEL
Norhing wrong with handling played 20 bours now love it
I agree that the Ers modes are so extreme. The Drs isn’t effective at all to recharge your battery since even AI seems their always on overtake
I mean they are. It was already announced in a few weeks a handling update will happen. Lol
Here’s my opinion:
I would consider myself causal (90 ai and medium traction and no abs) and I’ve got 11 hours on the game so far.
Title: Why F1 24 Needs to Change the Handling Model
Summary:
In this video, the creator discusses the need for F1 24 to change its handling model. The video highlights the following key points:
You’re obviously not on wheel
Finally someone honest about the opinion, Aarava and the others driving around like nothings happening, sell
Outs
A.I are better, engine sounds are better then last year but still need improvement, career mode is more immersive, handling isn't as bad as some have said but it's far from perfect, luckily there is a patch coming soon that's meant to fix most if not all the problems with it, IRL ers is worth around 160 horsepower so none vs overtake being a massive difference isn't surprising
60fps is faster than 120fps on consoles?
I like it 😄 played every F1 game since day one. This is packed with stuff to do, good graphics, nice menu presentation, good music shall I go on... Kids of today are spoilt try playing F1 on an Atari 🤣🏎️💨
I have enjoyed the game so far i am a causal player tho haven’t enjoyed the last 2 games the best but 23 was ok this game just fits my driving style
I'm the casual player...actually enjoy this model as had to completely change my driving style
TRL Limitless for Esports 24 #LetsGO
The handling isn’t really that bad... I do like pointed handling in gaming or in my real life auto cross and go kart set ups so this is not that hard to adjust to. Should be something imo “real” sim racers should accept and learn to adapt to if they all do it consistently…
they should have recharge None low medium high hotlap overtake And or costumible ers deployment for example when in mode high it will stop deploying and the end of the straight etc or low deployment before you get fullt traction and or hot laptop 2 laps so it deploya 50prcent in a full lap etc etc
It needs tweaked and should of been done already. Going full throttle in T4-5-6 of miami is insane. I barely use brakes on corners now
I just want a full sim for F1, Codemasters has to be the one to do it due to licenses but I wish there were actual alternatives. Arcade racing just isnt fun anymore imo.
this is gonna be the new engine sound in 2026
I gave up after almost a day.
Im to slow on the straights but fast in corners even with low downforce
Skip this year guys. Why reward them for this.
I love the handling, best in any Codemasters F1 game yet for me. Monaco is fun again. I don't care if it is more arcade or whatever.
😂 another controller user..
@@NoHacksTSR Nope, wheel.
My problem with the game is that when you want to push the car almost becomes insanely bad
It feels hard to be consistent. Especially on controller. The new gear ratio also wigs me out
Another year with a EA game where people got frustrated.
Does the 60/59 FPS traction bug persist?
Yep, 60 fps is fastest yet again......
Why the game sound mix is sooo strange
Handling is very weird, sometimes tons of oversteer then ton of understeer and oversteer, switching up, even mid corner, its very weird, don't know what to expect from the vehicle, very unpredictable, twitchy...
I think its a good base and has potential but it needs alot of tweaking
Did my first F1 24 laps earlier and was 1.5s quicker on Bahrain TT over F1 23 so I’m made up with the new handling 😂
average EA trina take money. I've decided to just go ahead and skip this year's game since i am NOT shelling out 80 euros for a DLC
Yeah, but it would kick ass to have official F1 simulation GAME!
Should I buy this game?
What was with all the brake lockups looked like tokyo drift. I have had every f1 game on release but i think this is the year i will give it a miss.
Its like mario kart.
The handling model is great. Why change what the real F1 drivers say is close to the real thing to suit gamers that have no idea what real race cars handle like?!
