It would be so easy to physically provide the same car with a different skin for equal races. One of many incomprehensibilities that have come to symbolize the F1 series...
I think it's the limitation of the engine design. You have internal representation of car1, car2, car3,... And car1 has [size+textures, state_right_now,...]. So when you try to "copy" stats to a car1 which has something different from car2, something has to be "forced."
@@ruvenf1811 The engine sounds is no problem, the most "difficult" is to make every skin beside of the red bull one twice. The cars don't look the same. You can't just take textures from one object and put them on another, as they won't fit exactly. You will have to know and accept than, that in equal cars the other cars than the red bull won't look like their real life counterparts, but all like the red bull. However, I think this is what will happen for esports.
Background: I'm a software developer for 2 decades now. I simrace. But I don't play F1 anymore, I'm all in iRacing world. I don't think F1 has a good suspension simulation. It probably has something, but very basic. It can be a thing that is messing equal cars, but there is another thing. So what do we actually see no matter what: In the middle of the straight we start gaining/losing time. (In the corners, you can argue you are taking a different line.) To me, with everything "equal," I would guess it's the "aero map." The game has to have some internal representation, how much downforce is produced given the speed, slipangle of the wheels, and maybe something else (setup, tire deg, tire temps). This is what is called "aero map." Cars have different wheelbases, and mapping one single aero map to the cars with different wheelbases will have this effect. What is responsible for losing or gaining time through the corners, I do not know. This is what I think of. But there could be many other things.
I think the wheel base is a big problem.. not all cars are the same size.. making it hard to just make them exactly equal since the physics are different
I think it has to do with the car frames. They are very different and some appear longer, some appear wider. These stuff play big roles IRL, not sure ingame though
Hi JD, do you actually have like a "leaderboard" for all the cars? like as you said Ferrari is the worst, so it would be placed in 10th then Mclaren and Redbull 1st and 2nd, but how the order would be in the middle? just out of curiosity really
Question, has F1 24 stepped up its physics? I originally held off from getting it at the beginning with all the awful reviews. But is it better now and worth playing over F1 23?
Must be no reason why they're using the World cars 😶 Red Bull (his car) happens to be the best on the bumps/kerbs, so I wouldn't expect him to say otherwise. Video shows the difference, not just someone's word.
@ because it’s in peoples minds. Placebo effect. And you’re correct, there is no reason they’re using the world cars in league racing. Paranoid drivers petitioning the leagues would be my guess. This was an issue a couple years ago and they put out a patch like a week after it was discovered fixing it and ever since then someone claims they’re unreal every patch because they’re slow
When u use the Ferrari u hold 6th gear which actually losses u the time. U shift 6-7 gear in the red bull, McLaren way faster. Thats the .100 difference 😂😂
I don’t get why you’re all against it, even irl there are cars who can run kerbs better or suit one track compared to another. Some tracks favour some cars while others reward other cars, it’s been this way since the beginning lol

@ just let everyone drive a Red Bull with different skins.. implementing different engine sounds should be the most difficult. Doable. Don’t get it
@@alpha007org they should just put the skins on the fom car, so make the skins available for everyone to select

When esports starts will they use the real livery’s on the f1 world car bc that’s what they did last year
I wish you tested this at singapore, since the red bull is notoriously slow there
I think it has to do with the car frames. They are very different and some appear longer, some appear wider. These stuff play big roles IRL, not sure ingame though
they could easily release official liveries for the f1 world car to solve the problem but maybe that's gonna be the headline feature of f1 25
Can you make a list from the best to the worst car?
thanks

I was called crazy year ago for saying Mclaren was faster in Time trial than a Red bull start of last year 🤣Fine differences are crazy
Hey man a bit late but i don’t understand what’s the difference with F1 world cars ?
What are they saying about the mercedes? Any saying about them?
Is there any info about Esports?
Jarno has said the cars are equal and he’s tested it extensively. I trust him more than you.
Yh because he's an esports driver so he's lying 😂😂😂 he got an advantage and don't want it to change

Hi,Where is discord
i think they should just give the drivers team liveries they can put on there world car. easy lol
Is there no more league races anymore ?
Continues on Sunday

Irl it is yeah but the cars arent equal, in the game they can be so every car has to handle the same
@ if they handle the same there are gonna be drivers who can’t adapt to the handling of the car, so in the end it’s never actually “equal”
@@marcoarcadio8953 well then its a skill issue and not the car
