When I was 17, active, in the field, living by the gun, throwing my fuccin away, I read his book, cover to cover... in like 2 days... I won't say it immediately changed me, but it sparked a change in me that evolved over the next few years... I'm not so sure I woulda ever seen my own contribution to my demise without ever reading that book... SHIT prolly changed my life... I was just another kid who jumped off the porch too early, destined to be in the box, or in a box... Say what tf you want, this man sparked a progressive change in me...

The fact that he tells a story without exaggeration, but like it happened, shows he isn't trying to impress you.
Shows that these are genuine ppl who were placed in outrageously negative circumstances, and became what they're environment molded them to be. I bet if they would have been given a decent chance at life things would be different.
