I read monster over 15 years ago and it was at a time where there was no internet no Google and no UA-cam. And The only picture you had of monster was the one on the front cover. I remember reading the book and visualising how he described things and himself. Now all these years later to be able to sit and listen to him describe all this stuff in detail is amazing, especially as he passed not long after this. Thank you Kev Mac

Man he went in on some other political prisoner cats about nationalism, organizational bureaucracy problems, prison politics and the New Afrikan Independence Movement (NAIM). I randomly picked up this book about Kody from a university library and I never forgot about it. I never saw what he looked like until just now. I borrowed that book in the 90s. This caught me by surprise. I didn't know he was this famous.
When monster said he probably wouldn't have joined a gang if he not been assulted the day before... I can relate. My oldest brother went thru the same thing with gangs who wouldn't leave him alone.
