The amount of SkyWings I’ve seen with the name Lilly, and their bios literally just being “Queen of all dragons” or something along those lines scares me.
You have the name randomizes for a reason... This is also why you create multiple names before the update, so when you want to use the new icewing you aren’t stuck trying to think of a name other then Icey, *right past me?*

Bongo man, it’s pretty much role swapped pets. Human trafficking is done by only humans, a single species. (Human and human, dragon and dragon.) Keeping a dragon as something similar to a pet or torture victim is too messed up for ROBLOX.
9:45 That reminds me of something. I was roleplaying with my friend, it was just me and them. We were having a sort of dramatic confrontation or something. A RainWing appeared and asked if they could join. We both told her that it was a private roleplay. She kept asking, saying stuff like “but your roleplay looks cool” and “I can be a RainWing you both hate, or something.” We really didn’t want more people, so we kept asking her to leave. A SkyWing came in and asked what was happening. RainWing sad “they won’t let me join their roleplay!” SkyWing started screaming at us as we kept trying to explain that it was a private roleplay. Eventually we blocked them both and ignored them. Another person came along and started talking to the RainWing and the SkyWing. That person was on our side and eventually got them to leave. The RainWing left screaming “I HATE MYSELF I WANNA DIE” She came back and was asking around for anyone who wanted her account because she was leaving Roblox. I can’t tell if she was trying to guilt us into letting her join her roleplay or if she was genuinely this upset about not getting her way.
Now *THIS* reminds me of another time I was playing a different rp game. So, I was in a rp with 2 other very nice friends, and someone in the chat couldn’t find us (The map was large-ish), so they kept asking us in chat if they could join, and after a bit of them shouting at us, we finally told them it was a private rp, but they didn’t seem to know what that meant, so they kept asking We had backup, because another person in chat was explaining to them what a private rp was and why you shouldn’t beg to join one if you know it’s a private rp, and why you shouldn’t beg to join in the first place if the other people are clearly saying no, so they threw a tantrum and said things like: *”MY LIFE SUCKS”* *”PRIVATE RPS SUCK”* *”YOU GUYS ARE STUPID”* For a while they tried guilt tripping us into letting them in, even though we clearly stated that we didn’t want any more people, and then tried inviting everyone to their among us rp (honestly wouldn’t have effected us since we didn’t want other people), then went on to continuously scream uncreative and ineffective insults to us like “ur fat” or “ur dumb” After a bit they left. I do feel a little bit bad for them though
These stories are both from a different rp game (warrior cats: ultimate edition), but I wanna tell them So, I have an oc that is missing a paw, an I wanted to join a role play as a warrior. But the host was FORCING me to be the medicine cat, saying that I couldn’t be a warrior. They were bringing up Cinderpelt, a character from the books whose leg was run over by a car as an apprentice, and how she had to become a medicine cat because of her leg. I pointed out Deadfoot, who has a twisted paw and became deputy, and left. Tbh I hate it when ppl are like “you can’t be this because of this in the books!” Ok, second story. Once I joined a role play, and there was someone trying to be leader. Mind you, this person was not allowed to be the leader bc the *host* was going to choose that in role play. When the actual leader was chosen, the fake leader threw a fit, insulting the host, and saying very rude and personal things. They were saying things like “How did your parents ever choose you from the orphanage?” And “Brookhaven is so much better!” But when more people joined, they began to like and say “why is everyone bullying and ignoring me just for joining? Stop ruining the game!” And at that point, I had had enough and just left. Thanks for reading this rant, lol. I really hope both ppl in these stories learn to rp better, and I really don’t hold any grudges from these people, it just annoyed me a bit. (Okay maybe a lot on the second one)

My favorite character to roleplay as is one Skywing named Copper, he's a pacifist guard who usually does stuff like feeding the prisoners or guarding the throne. I build up his personality over roleplays, one of my favorite things that's happened to him is the Seawing attack, where it was when Sea'wings are newly introduced and there were a bunch in the prisons and such, and I guess one got a crush on Copper. Eventually there was a Seawing breakout where two or three Seawings came in and broke all the others out and formed one giant Seawing mob, and the one that got a crush on Copper told the others "Hey can I see this one dragon named Copper?" and they all misunderstood her so suddenly Copper was swarmed by Seawings attacking him. There was one animus of the group who, when she was still a prisoner, had stabbed Copper in the leg with a floaty knife twice, and started doing it again in the attack. Eventually the one who had a crush on Copper managed to calm the others down, simply said "hi Copper" then left. And that wasn't even the end of his Seawing trauma, there was another Seawing animus he befriended and helped the Seawing and a Rainwing escape the prisons before they all ran away. Then the Rainwing ended up getting ill, and the Seawing healed them but it turns out that was kinda the tipping point for the Seawing's soul and the Seawing went insane and started attacking the two of them. So now Copper keeps a diary in order to keep track of everything that happens to him.
This helped a lot! I have social anxiety and here was my encounter: I joined a random server, saw a person sleeping and attempted to wake them up, when it started raining I decided to stay. They woke up And we had our introduction and I explained what I was doing when a group of dragons flew towards us they started screaming at me so I left without warning ;-;
When you said "some people don't want their faults fixed" I was like YES!!! My character/OC has a burnt leg and a whole bunch of scars from what happened in her backstory. She's my favorite OC but over time, I stopped playing her because I was afraid someone would come along and magically heal her. I DON'T WANT THAT
7:16 made me SCREECH it made me so happy Every time, I mean, EVERY TIME, I'm in prison, someone comes and breaks me out. Even if I'm CLEARLY talking to someone and in a deep roleplay with someone, maybe another prisoner, maybe a guard, maybe a civilian who decided to say ”hey, what's up homie?” And I don't want to be broken out! I'll stop ranting now. But I love Magnesium! She's much more developed than most of my ocs... ever, I suppose!

Lab Rp's being banned is really kinda sad because... dang they're fun. Something about being a mutant creature or an apex predator alien thing in containment is so exhilarating. It's really fun oof
My personal favorite role play to do is the “polite thief.” Why you patiently wait in line before asking if you can look at the “art on the wall.” This pretty much makes it impossible for the queen RPer to ignore you, because you were in her line! This also gets the attention of anyone else in the room, letting them know you want to role play, and aren’t just there to *steals the rest of the comment and runs away*

Another big rule while roleplaying: If you see a rainwing change colors or turn invisible, make sure to coordinate, and if you don’t know what rainwing colors mean, search it up or ask someone, and if a rainwing turns invisible, don’t be like ‘I cAn StIlL sEe YoUuUu” because it’s rude, and only do it if you have a power like “can see invisible rainwings” but if you have a power like that, make sure it works 50% or less of the time, or else people can consider you a Mary Sue/Gary Stu as it is a very op power. Best thing to do is when a rainwing turns invisible, is just act like they disappeared (opposite if they were originally invisible) as it is very nice and not obnoxious. Tbh the thing I would do when someone says they can still see you, is just void them, but if that doesn’t work out, then report to an admin, as it can get out of hand. An example of this is just say you are doing a school rp, and you are a rainwing, and someone embarrasses you or something like that, and you turn invisible. Then the person that embarrassed you is like “that won’t do anything, I can still see you.” Wouldn’t you feel horrible? I get that some of you are getting older, and want to put things in fact, but unless the other role players say it’s ok, then don’t do it. Again it’s rude, and doing this could really make the others upset. They just wanna role play, and you ruin it. You would most likely get voided, or even get reported to an admin. Now for a color example, let’s just say someone gets mad at you, and their rainwing turns red. But you don’t know what that means. First best thing to do is google it, but if you can’t find what you’re looking for, ask either someone else or the person who changed colors. Miss coloring a rainwing is like miss gendering someone, (to me at least,) so what would you do if you don’t know someone’s gender? Would you ask them politely? Probably, so that’s the best thing to do in color situations, and if you ask them, I doubt they would go like “aren’t you a wings of fire fan? You should know this!” And I bet they would be fine if you just ask them. So if you follow my guide you should be good with rainwings, and probably a lot more people than just rainwings!
When I make bios for my characters, to usually make it like a description from the books. Take my SandWing’s bio for example: ‘Anubis is a friendly, laid-back fellow who will stand up in a fight when he needs to.’ *wonder if that passes the standards*
I have a Night-Rain OC named Outline. She was hatched under a lunar eclipse, which gives her the ability to always know when someone is telling a lie, but the downside is she can't lie or act if the world depended on it. Also she can secrete venom from the tip of her tail, but it sometimes happens unintentionally whenever she is feeling a strong (usually negative) emotion. She also can't camouflage in both ways, with both the RainWing camouflage way and the NightWing thing where they hide in the shadows. Her name comes from the fact that she hatched under a lunar eclipse, where a total eclipse would just show the outline.
I have a few more things to add if I may, as well as ways things listed have gone in my experience! Another way to be a good role player and a pleasant addition to the community is not to ignore someone just because you decide they aren’t good. Role play with everyone you get the chance too/don’t be mean to others. Another thing, always pay attention to other characters’ dialogue and whether or not you can hear what they’re saying to themselves. Eavesdropping, overhearing, and butting in on someone’s out loud self-dialogue is a great way to start roleplays! Interact with people! If someone is blowing fire or roaring often, analyze some things: how does your character feel about the noise/disruption? Is it their duty to put a stop to it? Would they want to join? Are they just plain annoyed and want it to stop? It’s easy to start roleplays if you just- interact. If you see something in someone’s bio that is not a visible trait. Do not say that you know it unless it would make full sense that you do. For instance if someone says that they have a deadly secret and you go “what’s your deadly secret” it’s awkward for the other person to have to play it off like you read their mind, unless your character actually can read minds. Don’t bash other people’s ocs. I once saw someone say “your sea wing isn’t a royal, it doesn’t have the markings” when we all know the markings are a game pass. It wasn’t very fair to them, it was unsolicited rudeness when no one was provoked. Just let people vibe. This might just be me but PLEASE don’t play as canon characters from the books. It’s not only confusing for people who haven’t read that far, but it’s also unoriginal and difficult to play with when all you know is what your character would know. --------- Now ways some of the tips feel in the eyes of someone who has experienced it. I have a sandwing Oc named Ocotillo, some of his traits are; being apathetic, Stubborn, Pessimistic, and Low-spirited. He has a burnt wing paralyzed that flops at his side, it’s often very discouraging to him. That’s his character, he is a prisoner, and he trains every day, stretching as much as possible so he doesn’t die a disabled old man in the Arena. Ocotillo sees 0 point in trying to survive anywhere but the arena. He’s lived his life in captivity. As I was playing him someone refused to understand I wasn’t going anywhere, and kept on telling me to just fly away, not listening to what I was saying. Making the roleplay solely about themself. It was infuriating for me, especially when I had to fight and they tried to help. I was not rude to them because I don’t support being mean to others, it was just annoying. That goes with the “letting us have our flaws” thing. ------ I think the final thing I have to add is: “Nice” is not a personality trait. If you want to branch off of nice things like being “Sweet” or “friendly” or “good-natured” or “kind-hearted” or “approachable” than please do! Those are fully welcome, but “Nice” isn’t really a trait someone can go off of, anyone can be “nice” nice is just a word to describe a behavior or action. Not a personality trait. I hope this does a little bit for someone and wasn’t a complete waste of time to write :)
Dude. Being the teach in a school rp is basically like a public service, no one wants to do it it's wild- I've spent hours trying to give people good school rps but it's kinda hard being the only teacher, I went all out once and switched out every couple of in game days It's fun when you have a class that actually listens and doesn't go "Omg where is the teach" when you just told them brb.. I remember actually making a goddamn schedule and it went ok. Those rps downfall is always the chaos and miscommunication so I think it helps
tbh on minecraft not all lab rps are bad. theyre just people trapped in a box. with things they like. and eventually they just decide to escape or something. and it was nice. *UNTIL MARY SUE FEMALE PERSON COMES ALONG AND KILLS EVERYONE. THIS IS WHY I MOVED TO ROBLOX*
if you want to roleplay better, there are some rules you MUST follow. 1 - *Act in character.* be your character. act as your character or OC would! 2 - *Elaborate your backstory.* when creating an OC, having a nice, elaborated backstory is important! 3 - *Make sure you know who is in the roleplay.* dont mind people who arent roleplaying if they start bothering you. 4 - *dont give out information about your character.* sometimes people can use information in your Bio for their advantage.
I have a roleplaying tip. This works for me, idk about anyone else. My OC would definitely be super OP if it wasn’t for all the insecurities and flaws. I’m an oc with special abilities, and a hybrid, which basically can’t breathe fire, hates fire in general, is insecure mentally, secretive about the past, afraid to use any of her abilities, and so insecure she was driven to have trust issues and aggression towards others. If you like my tips reply and I can make a role play tip/guide and other stuff on my channel bc I have nothing better to do :3
My OC is super, *MEGA* cocky. He could beat every one he comes across, easily. But his pride is as strong as a wet page. If anyone says anything about his leg, he'll talk about this fight in an arena. When he gets home he practically cries himself to sleep in a damp wet corner, whining like a baby.
I have been role playing on various different Roblox games for years and can I just say it? Thank you. This was a really good thing to post and more than once have I met Mary Sues or people just trying to but in on role plays that took me a solid two hours or something to finally join. To this day I still struggle with joining in on characters and while nowadays I don’t Mary Sue my characters (I often have a rule of at least two negative qualities) I meet a lot of players who do. You highlighted many things that I was hoping you would bring up. Thank you.
One of my Fav roleplays is to Train with the General/Any guard. Tell them your a trainee and dream of one day becoming General, they are quite fun and I love doing them! Another fun one is Hide and Seek, get a bunch of RainWings and play hide and seek on the map. Also Medic Roleplay is fun, I’m quite often a medic for the Queen/King.
Ps: you’ll also have less anxiety when you get to know the game better! When I originally joined this game, I was so confused and so scared. When you memorize how to customize your character well, some rps, get friends.. the game will be very fun. I haven’t watched the video yet do idk if you said this or not. Also, you don’t have to use asterisk to use roleplay symbols! Get creative! For example- |:|, =, /‘/, ~%~ and many more combos to spice up your roleplay! Also, there have been many instances where good roleplayers, well, ruined roleplays. For example: Speed typing and forcing people to die by their speed. I have been in this situation- and they were even a great roleplayer too. But he has took out so many oc’s of my friend I know at ONCE. that’s a good reason to void somebody! And the final thing.. SMALL ROLEPLAYS ARE AMAZING. not only can you actually finish them, but 3 people roleplaying, correcting eachother’s mistakes in the roleplay, And working together to develop eachother’s lore is better then tons of people not really having anything planned. This is why people in school roleplays often stick to a group and bond more then being friends with every dragon in the roleplay. Kingdom roleplays are an exception! And that’s all I have to say. I think I accidentally wrote an essay.
A good example is my oc, Treefrog. She is a Hivewing-Leafwing who was born within an undecided hive. She was given a nasty flamesilk burn on her front left leg, and is very self-conscious about this. She's always worrying about what others think of her, even though most of the time dragons end up thinking she's beautiful and unique. She doesn't have many fades, and is easy to look at. She doesn't have leafspeak, but she does have toxins which are basically stink bombs. Treefrog always grew up without friends. In her hive, the others found her weird and disgusting because she was a hybrid - but she soon fled to Pyrrhia and found friends who accepted her. This is getting rant-y, so I'll wrap it up there. Role play ideas: Be different roles: Medic, Scientist, guard, general, teacher, royalty, murderer, thief Different rps: Murder mystery,royal drama, store, scenes in the books, have different disorders, try to get revenge on the queen/king for overthrowing you or banning you from the kingdom. How to make a good bio: ~name related to your tribe/skills~ -Personality- -your role- -something special about you- -your secret- Hope this helped you! Tbh, why would you even watch the video if you're going to dislike it?! The dodo's channel has very cute, wholesome, and breathtaking videos about adorable animals making it to a great adulthood or full recovery. And what do you know? THEY WATCH ONLY TO DISLIKE!!!!! UA-cam! Please hear me out, and make it so you can only like it when you watch the entire thing.
The "Permission To Kill" part got me strange. I mean Its great to respect other people's rp and they wish to not get killed by your own character. And lastly, I know other people's opinions are different for each different rp. For my opinions for rp on the Permission To Kill: Usually I bring up an interesting and suspense genre-liked actions to make it entertaining for both me and the person I rp with. If they enjoy it, then without a permission you can "kill" or "harm" your character. I knew that overdoing this will make the person feel uncomfortable and upset. So I only do rp of the killing scene once or twice. I know basically in the movies you see have so much and it gets pretty boring quickly. Well thanks for reading and I love the video by the way. One idea I had was to be a Darkstalker-esque character, a mind reader who's locked away somehwere communicating with another mind reader using the pm feature
Okay, so I have a tip for making characters. So, you want your character to be interesting, right! No one would want to roleplay with your character if they’re boring. So, first off, I’d suggest doing something that you’ve never seen in characters before. Think of the types of people you’ve seen in game, and then use something you’ve never seen! For instance, I have an OC that is slowly loosing her mind. She almost acts similar to Whiteout in the way she talks. Or, something *I* like to do: Have your character be completely normal! They don’t have to have anything interesting about them at all! That makes for a fun roleplay, if you ask me. Something I do with one of my OCs is having them run from their kingdoms to the Sky Kingdom. It’s really fun, since they’re used to a normal life in their kingdom.
a couple more tips for general rp! voiding can also be used to void a joke in rp, like say for example your charavter says "haha this is indeed an epic gamer moment" or something along those lines, you can say void after the message as a way to say the charavter disldnt actually say that also, asterix and stuff dont *have* to be used for character narrstion in things, i usually just type in full sentances like in books and stuff, but you can go buck wild with -this- or .: this :. or whatever also, giving one to three word responses can hunder an rp by a lot!!!! please dont just respond with "sure" or "ok" or "he breathed" after someone gives you a nice paragraph to play off of, its not very fun for the other person ;;
once two random nightwings came up to me and said *grabbed Mango by the mouth, threw her in chains, and put her in prison* and I did nothing and just stared at them so they got angry and I said you have to ask permission... I'll rp with you just remember to ask perms from other people first. after that we had a pretty fun time roleplaying and I think they learned something out of it as well :)
I roleplayed as this rainwing who would speak through people's minds and watch them, she'd try to manipulate relationships but if she fails, she gets really frustrated and will end up ruining her own mind.
Some more rules: 1. Try to use other speakings words other than “Said” that fit with their species or mood. Ex. Whispered, growled, purred, snarked, hissed, muttered. 2. Also, you can use a action after a sentence to avoid getting repetitive. (Saying said sometimes is good too) 3. While in battle, always ask for perm for anything major, not just killing. Also try to let the other person type, and also do not ignore texts. That is important. 4. Do not misuse voiding. Perhaps there is a cat who has a camp. If you are a dog, please do not pull the “I was here first!” And attack them. If it was a clan of cats and they attack you, do not void them just because you can’t win. It would be distracting to have 2 groups of roleplays, and if they were there first, leave them alone. 5. Make sure their skill matches their level. Please do not have a dragonet beat a dragon. Just no. Those were my favorite tips, hope they help you!
Also another tip: if you and someone else are having a battle, LET THE OTHER PERSON HAVE A CHANCE TO TALK. Even if your character isn’t over powered, if your a fast typer and can type faster than the other person, don’t start destroying them because then they won’t have a chance to do anything back!
Quite long ago i met alot of Power Players. I had a strong hatred agianst them but now that time has passed i have realised most of the power players are new to roleplaying and they dont know that they powerplaying . I used to be super mean to them now i just ask them to stop nicely or just void them . So if you meet a powerplayer ask them to stop or just void them no need to be rude about it . Some people pretend tp be power players tp show other people that its not nice to power play . Edit : Ahh i made this comment so longggg

I did a Nightwing VS Icewing RP once. It was really fun for the group that joined i think. Even tho we nightwings were out numbered. Anyone can use this RP if they want. Put roles like who can be queen or genaral or a spy or scout or guard or a solider. Finding prisoners and taking prisoners (I dont know if thats banned or not, its like a war RP so im not very sure if you can have prisoners or not) Really for any war rp, like enemy tribes (Seawings VS Skywings, IceWings VS Nightwings) You shouldn't do anything like Mudwings VS Skywings cuz they were allied in the war, it wouldn't make since. Another fun RP that I did before was the royal seawing massecre (Sorry for spelling) RP Or an RP just living as a tribe Seawings (They will have meetings, patrols, royalty drama, anything) Nightwings (Possibly trying to just survive the volcanic lands they used to live in or just living with the rainwings) Sandwings (OUTCLAWS :)) SkyWings (The panic about whos queen after the dragonets escape from the sky kingdom, a fire scales dragon problem ECT) Rainwings (Collecting fruit, Glory, Mangrove, Jambu, Kinkajou and Tamarin VS The EX Rainwing queens, any normal peaceful life of a rainwing) Mudwings (Sib groups like you said) An assassin school RP (Having old assassins teach you the ways ;}) Anyone can use these Roleplays if they want too, i dont mind :) Yeet
Hello! This was actually a really nice video you made, and I feel it'll help alot of people! Although, I think you should've mentioned something else, which was to NOT do something after someone tells you to stop. I have had this happen many times to me, mainly on Roblox FNaF RP's, where a random person will walk up to me, kill/destroy my character, and continue trying to even when I keep trying to tell them to stop and that I do not give permission for that. It happens to me all the time, and it can become a bit frustrating over time, as I think that would be a great don't to mention in the video. Although I guess it is slightly similar to the PTK rule you mentioned.... Anyways, either way, amazing video, you did a fantastic job on it! :3
This was super helpful because I’ve been rping a long time, but I just got the WoF game two days ago. So, I’m new to rping on here and didn’t really know proper etiquette and stuff, so thank you so much!! There was an IceWing animus there doing her own thing, but when I was alone, she was like **Heals your scar with animus magic** . I didn’t know how to respond to that and I didn’t want to be rude, so I uh. Poofed.

I met the best role player in this game before. Sadly I don’t have their username, but they were a master of character, roleplay, devolving a story, etc. It was kinda crazy.
My fav oc is Afterglow She’s an old, retired guard, almost 500 years old. She’s a brown sky’wing a light yellow under’belly, she usually crashes into things due to poor eyesight (caused by her age) which, lead to her death, where she crashed into the queen, killing the queen, and the impact hit the wall, smashing her skull and impaling her brain, the queen did land on top of her. Crushing the rest of her body. Now here’s her story Born as a kind, loving little dragonet, she had little sense of danger, which is why an animus had to give her an eyepatch due to a rainwing using its venom on her on accident. Then a group of seawings drowned her mother in front of her own eyes when she was about 9 years old. 19 years later, she found out about the seawings who killed her mother and saw them drown a few of her friends, furious she killed them, and burnt their bodies. 20 years later, she became a guard and did her job, but then 69 years later, she retired but an injured sandwing dragonet named cactus came in. She remembered her eyepatch and put it on his eye, it was for the same reason, rainwing venom. After about 3 weeks, she removed the eyepatch and he was able to see properly again. Then after around 300 years ish, she was going to say hello to the new queen. But crashed, her sharp horns stabbing her in the heart, they both hit the throne and then.... part of the wall, fell on them, crushing the two. Afterglow’s legacy is still told to this day.
so i have a SkyWing oc named Mars. he used to have a sister, but she sacrificed herself in her own lab for an experient. Mars is comepletely scarred for life. he tries to save his sister, but instead gets about 3 tails, since it was a disortation experiment. his sister instantly died, because she had most affect from it. after his parents were picked off, along with his aunt, makes him have to live with his only and supportive cousin. he has no job, since hes old enough, but no dragons take him seriously. so instead of joining a job, he makes one. he escapes from his cousin in the middle of the night, and pickpockets enough money for a setup. and then he hosts a Freakshow/Circus. a lot of dragons born with defects get the message, and they soon gather around to join. anyway, the Freakshow part is based off of The Greatest Showman. so uh yeah Mars is my only character with a backstory lol

I was roleplaying with my friend, it was just me and them. We were having a sort of dramatic confrontation or something. A RainWing appeared and asked if they could join. We both told her that it was a private roleplay. She kept asking, saying stuff like “but your roleplay looks cool” and “I can be a RainWing you both hate, or something.” We really didn’t want more people, so we kept asking her to leave. A SkyWing came in and asked what was happening. RainWing sad “they won’t let me join their roleplay!” SkyWing started screaming at us as we kept trying to explain that it was a private roleplay. Eventually we blocked them both and ignored them.
Another person came along and started talking to the RainWing and the SkyWing. That person was on our side and eventually got them to leave. The RainWing left screaming “I HATE MYSELF I WANNA DIE”
She came back and was asking around for anyone who wanted her account because she was leaving Roblox.
I can’t tell if she was trying to guilt us into letting her join her roleplay or if she was genuinely this upset about not getting her way.

Now *THIS* reminds me of another time I was playing a different rp game.
So, I was in a rp with 2 other very nice friends, and someone in the chat couldn’t find us (The map was large-ish), so they kept asking us in chat if they could join, and after a bit of them shouting at us, we finally told them it was a private rp, but they didn’t seem to know what that meant, so they kept asking
We had backup, because another person in chat was explaining to them what a private rp was and why you shouldn’t beg to join one if you know it’s a private rp, and why you shouldn’t beg to join in the first place if the other people are clearly saying no, so they threw a tantrum and said things like:
*”MY LIFE SUCKS”*
*”PRIVATE RPS SUCK”*
*”YOU GUYS ARE STUPID”*
For a while they tried guilt tripping us into letting them in, even though we clearly stated that we didn’t want any more people, and then tried inviting everyone to their among us rp (honestly wouldn’t have effected us since we didn’t want other people), then went on to continuously scream uncreative and ineffective insults to us like “ur fat” or “ur dumb”
After a bit they left. I do feel a little bit bad for them though

So, I have an oc that is missing a paw, an I wanted to join a role play as a warrior. But the host was FORCING me to be the medicine cat, saying that I couldn’t be a warrior. They were bringing up Cinderpelt, a character from the books whose leg was run over by a car as an apprentice, and how she had to become a medicine cat because of her leg. I pointed out Deadfoot, who has a twisted paw and became deputy, and left. Tbh I hate it when ppl are like “you can’t be this because of this in the books!”
Ok, second story.
Once I joined a role play, and there was someone trying to be leader. Mind you, this person was not allowed to be the leader bc the *host* was going to choose that in role play. When the actual leader was chosen, the fake leader threw a fit, insulting the host, and saying very rude and personal things. They were saying things like “How did your parents ever choose you from the orphanage?” And “Brookhaven is so much better!” But when more people joined, they began to like and say “why is everyone bullying and ignoring me just for joining? Stop ruining the game!” And at that point, I had had enough and just left.
Thanks for reading this rant, lol. I really hope both ppl in these stories learn to rp better, and I really don’t hold any grudges from these people, it just annoyed me a bit. (Okay maybe a lot on the second one)

My favorite character to roleplay as is one Skywing named Copper, he's a pacifist guard who usually does stuff like feeding the prisoners or guarding the throne. I build up his personality over roleplays, one of my favorite things that's happened to him is the Seawing attack, where it was when Sea'wings are newly introduced and there were a bunch in the prisons and such, and I guess one got a crush on Copper. Eventually there was a Seawing breakout where two or three Seawings came in and broke all the others out and formed one giant Seawing mob, and the one that got a crush on Copper told the others "Hey can I see this one dragon named Copper?" and they all misunderstood her so suddenly Copper was swarmed by Seawings attacking him. There was one animus of the group who, when she was still a prisoner, had stabbed Copper in the leg with a floaty knife twice, and started doing it again in the attack. Eventually the one who had a crush on Copper managed to calm the others down, simply said "hi Copper" then left.
And that wasn't even the end of his Seawing trauma, there was another Seawing animus he befriended and helped the Seawing and a Rainwing escape the prisons before they all ran away. Then the Rainwing ended up getting ill, and the Seawing healed them but it turns out that was kinda the tipping point for the Seawing's soul and the Seawing went insane and started attacking the two of them.
So now Copper keeps a diary in order to keep track of everything that happens to him.

I joined a random server, saw a person sleeping and attempted to wake them up, when it started raining I decided to stay.
They woke up And we had our introduction and I explained what I was doing when a group of dragons flew towards us they started screaming at me so I left without warning ;-;
I also have social anxiety, I can barely join a RP without cringing at myself and leaving.

My personal favorite role play to do is the “polite thief.” Why you patiently wait in line before asking if you can look at the “art on the wall.” This pretty much makes it impossible for the queen RPer to ignore you, because you were in her line! This also gets the attention of anyone else in the room, letting them know you want to role play, and aren’t just there to *steals the rest of the comment and runs away*

A really good point is my Seawing OC, Reef who has a fear of water:
He was a dragonet when the attack on the Summer Palace happened, was traumatized from the attack ever since .
My OC Rubber Tree was a hatchling when a giant fire took out the Rainforest.
Another big rule while roleplaying: If you see a rainwing change colors or turn invisible, make sure to coordinate, and if you don’t know what rainwing colors mean, search it up or ask someone, and if a rainwing turns invisible, don’t be like ‘I cAn StIlL sEe YoUuUu” because it’s rude, and only do it if you have a power like “can see invisible rainwings” but if you have a power like that, make sure it works 50% or less of the time, or else people can consider you a Mary Sue/Gary Stu as it is a very op power.
Best thing to do is when a rainwing turns invisible, is just act like they disappeared (opposite if they were originally invisible) as it is very nice and not obnoxious. Tbh the thing I would do when someone says they can still see you, is just void them, but if that doesn’t work out, then report to an admin, as it can get out of hand.
An example of this is just say you are doing a school rp, and you are a rainwing, and someone embarrasses you or something like that, and you turn invisible. Then the person that embarrassed you is like “that won’t do anything, I can still see you.” Wouldn’t you feel horrible? I get that some of you are getting older, and want to put things in fact, but unless the other role players say it’s ok, then don’t do it. Again it’s rude, and doing this could really make the others upset. They just wanna role play, and you ruin it. You would most likely get voided, or even get reported to an admin.
Now for a color example, let’s just say someone gets mad at you, and their rainwing turns red. But you don’t know what that means. First best thing to do is google it, but if you can’t find what you’re looking for, ask either someone else or the person who changed colors. Miss coloring a rainwing is like miss gendering someone, (to me at least,) so what would you do if you don’t know someone’s gender? Would you ask them politely? Probably, so that’s the best thing to do in color situations, and if you ask them, I doubt they would go like “aren’t you a wings of fire fan? You should know this!” And I bet they would be fine if you just ask them.
So if you follow my guide you should be good with rainwings, and probably a lot more people than just rainwings!

When I make bios for my characters, to usually make it like a description from the books. Take my SandWing’s bio for example: ‘Anubis is a friendly, laid-back fellow who will stand up in a fight when he needs to.’

I have a Night-Rain OC named Outline. She was hatched under a lunar eclipse, which gives her the ability to always know when someone is telling a lie, but the downside is she can't lie or act if the world depended on it. Also she can secrete venom from the tip of her tail, but it sometimes happens unintentionally whenever she is feeling a strong (usually negative) emotion. She also can't camouflage in both ways, with both the RainWing camouflage way and the NightWing thing where they hide in the shadows. Her name comes from the fact that she hatched under a lunar eclipse, where a total eclipse would just show the outline.

I have a few more things to add if I may, as well as ways things listed have gone in my experience!
Another way to be a good role player and a pleasant addition to the community is not to ignore someone just because you decide they aren’t good. Role play with everyone you get the chance too/don’t be mean to others.
Another thing, always pay attention to other characters’ dialogue and whether or not you can hear what they’re saying to themselves. Eavesdropping, overhearing, and butting in on someone’s out loud self-dialogue is a great way to start roleplays!
Interact with people! If someone is blowing fire or roaring often, analyze some things: how does your character feel about the noise/disruption? Is it their duty to put a stop to it? Would they want to join? Are they just plain annoyed and want it to stop? It’s easy to start roleplays if you just- interact.
If you see something in someone’s bio that is not a visible trait. Do not say that you know it unless it would make full sense that you do. For instance if someone says that they have a deadly secret and you go “what’s your deadly secret” it’s awkward for the other person to have to play it off like you read their mind, unless your character actually can read minds.
Don’t bash other people’s ocs. I once saw someone say “your sea wing isn’t a royal, it doesn’t have the markings” when we all know the markings are a game pass. It wasn’t very fair to them, it was unsolicited rudeness when no one was provoked. Just let people vibe.
This might just be me but PLEASE don’t play as canon characters from the books. It’s not only confusing for people who haven’t read that far, but it’s also unoriginal and difficult to play with when all you know is what your character would know.

Now ways some of the tips feel in the eyes of someone who has experienced it.
I have a sandwing Oc named Ocotillo, some of his traits are; being apathetic, Stubborn, Pessimistic, and Low-spirited. He has a burnt wing paralyzed that flops at his side, it’s often very discouraging to him. That’s his character, he is a prisoner, and he trains every day, stretching as much as possible so he doesn’t die a disabled old man in the Arena. Ocotillo sees 0 point in trying to survive anywhere but the arena. He’s lived his life in captivity. As I was playing him someone refused to understand I wasn’t going anywhere, and kept on telling me to just fly away, not listening to what I was saying. Making the roleplay solely about themself. It was infuriating for me, especially when I had to fight and they tried to help. I was not rude to them because I don’t support being mean to others, it was just annoying. That goes with the “letting us have our flaws” thing.

I think the final thing I have to add is:
“Nice” is not a personality trait. If you want to branch off of nice things like being “Sweet” or “friendly” or “good-natured” or “kind-hearted” or “approachable” than please do! Those are fully welcome, but “Nice” isn’t really a trait someone can go off of, anyone can be “nice” nice is just a word to describe a behavior or action. Not a personality trait.
I hope this does a little bit for someone and wasn’t a complete waste of time to write :)

I've spent hours trying to give people good school rps but it's kinda hard being the only teacher, I went all out once and switched out every couple of in game days

if you want to roleplay better, there are some rules you MUST follow.
1 - *Act in character.* be your character. act as your character or OC would!
2 - *Elaborate your backstory.* when creating an OC, having a nice, elaborated backstory is important!
3 - *Make sure you know who is in the roleplay.* dont mind people who arent roleplaying if they start bothering you.
4 - *dont give out information about your character.* sometimes people can use information in your Bio for their advantage.

I have a roleplaying tip. This works for me, idk about anyone else.
My OC would definitely be super OP if it wasn’t for all the insecurities and flaws. I’m an oc with special abilities, and a hybrid, which basically can’t breathe fire, hates fire in general, is insecure mentally, secretive about the past, afraid to use any of her abilities, and so insecure she was driven to have trust issues and aggression towards others. If you like my tips reply and I can make a role play tip/guide and other stuff on my channel bc I have nothing better to do :3
My OC is super, *MEGA* cocky. He could beat every one he comes across, easily. But his pride is as strong as a wet page. If anyone says anything about his leg, he'll talk about this fight in an arena. When he gets home he practically cries himself to sleep in a damp wet corner, whining like a baby.

I have been role playing on various different Roblox games for years and can I just say it? Thank you.
This was a really good thing to post and more than once have I met Mary Sues or people just trying to but in on role plays that took me a solid two hours or something to finally join. To this day I still struggle with joining in on characters and while nowadays I don’t Mary Sue my characters (I often have a rule of at least two negative qualities) I meet a lot of players who do. You highlighted many things that I was hoping you would bring up. Thank you.

One of my Fav roleplays is to Train with the General/Any guard. Tell them your a trainee and dream of one day becoming General, they are quite fun and I love doing them! Another fun one is Hide and Seek, get a bunch of RainWings and play hide and seek on the map. Also Medic Roleplay is fun, I’m quite often a medic for the Queen/King.
Ps: you’ll also have less anxiety when you get to know the game better! When I originally joined this game, I was so confused and so scared. When you memorize how to customize your character well, some rps, get friends.. the game will be very fun. I haven’t watched the video yet do idk if you said this or not. Also, you don’t have to use asterisk to use roleplay symbols! Get creative! For example- |:|, =, /‘/, ~%~ and many more combos to spice up your roleplay! Also, there have been many instances where good roleplayers, well, ruined roleplays. For example: Speed typing and forcing people to die by their speed. I have been in this situation- and they were even a great roleplayer too. But he has took out so many oc’s of my friend I know at ONCE. that’s a good reason to void somebody! And the final thing.. SMALL ROLEPLAYS ARE AMAZING. not only can you actually finish them, but 3 people roleplaying, correcting eachother’s mistakes in the roleplay, And working together to develop eachother’s lore is better then tons of people not really having anything planned. This is why people in school roleplays often stick to a group and bond more then being friends with every dragon in the roleplay. Kingdom roleplays are an exception! And that’s all I have to say. I think I accidentally wrote an essay.
A good example is my oc, Treefrog.
She is a Hivewing-Leafwing who was born within an undecided hive. She was given a nasty flamesilk burn on her front left leg, and is very self-conscious about this. She's always worrying about what others think of her, even though most of the time dragons end up thinking she's beautiful and unique. She doesn't have many fades, and is easy to look at. She doesn't have leafspeak, but she does have toxins which are basically stink bombs. Treefrog always grew up without friends. In her hive, the others found her weird and disgusting because she was a hybrid - but she soon fled to Pyrrhia and found friends who accepted her. This is getting rant-y, so I'll wrap it up there. The "Permission To Kill" part got me strange. I mean Its great to respect other people's rp and they wish to not get killed by your own character. And lastly, I know other people's opinions are different for each different rp.
For my opinions for rp on the Permission To Kill: Usually I bring up an interesting and suspense genre-liked actions to make it entertaining for both me and the person I rp with. If they enjoy it, then without a permission you can "kill" or "harm" your character. I knew that overdoing this will make the person feel uncomfortable and upset. So I only do rp of the killing scene once or twice. I know basically in the movies you see have so much and it gets pretty boring quickly.

Okay, so I have a tip for making characters. So, you want your character to be interesting, right! No one would want to roleplay with your character if they’re boring. So, first off, I’d suggest doing something that you’ve never seen in characters before. Think of the types of people you’ve seen in game, and then use something you’ve never seen! For instance, I have an OC that is slowly loosing her mind. She almost acts similar to Whiteout in the way she talks. Or, something *I* like to do: Have your character be completely normal! They don’t have to have anything interesting about them at all! That makes for a fun roleplay, if you ask me. Something I do with one of my OCs is having them run from their kingdoms to the Sky Kingdom. It’s really fun, since they’re used to a normal life in their kingdom.

a couple more tips for general rp!
voiding can also be used to void a joke in rp, like say for example your charavter says "haha this is indeed an epic gamer moment" or something along those lines, you can say void after the message as a way to say the charavter disldnt actually say that
also, asterix and stuff dont *have* to be used for character narrstion in things, i usually just type in full sentances like in books and stuff, but you can go buck wild with -this- or .: this :. or whatever
also, giving one to three word responses can hunder an rp by a lot!!!! please dont just respond with "sure" or "ok" or "he breathed" after someone gives you a nice paragraph to play off of, its not very fun for the other person ;;
Pro tip: when writing your bio, use control + J to skip a line, it makes your bio WAY easier to read!

once two random nightwings came up to me and said *grabbed Mango by the mouth, threw her in chains, and put her in prison* and I did nothing and just stared at them so they got angry and I said you have to ask permission... I'll rp with you just remember to ask perms from other people first. after that we had a pretty fun time roleplaying and I think they learned something out of it as well :)
I roleplayed as this rainwing who would speak through people's minds and watch them, she'd try to manipulate relationships but if she fails, she gets really frustrated and will end up ruining her own mind.
Some more rules:
1. Try to use other speakings words other than “Said” that fit with their species or mood. Ex. Whispered, growled, purred, snarked, hissed, muttered.
2. Also, you can use a action after a sentence to avoid getting repetitive. (Saying said sometimes is good too)
3. While in battle, always ask for perm for anything major, not just killing. Also try to let the other person type, and also do not ignore texts. That is important.
4. Do not misuse voiding. Perhaps there is a cat who has a camp. If you are a dog, please do not pull the “I was here first!” And attack them. If it was a clan of cats and they attack you, do not void them just because you can’t win. It would be distracting to have 2 groups of roleplays, and if they were there first, leave them alone.
5. Make sure their skill matches their level. Please do not have a dragonet beat a dragon. Just no.

Also another tip: if you and someone else are having a battle, LET THE OTHER PERSON HAVE A CHANCE TO TALK. Even if your character isn’t over powered, if your a fast typer and can type faster than the other person, don’t start destroying them because then they won’t have a chance to do anything back!

Quite long ago i met alot of Power Players. I had a strong hatred agianst them but now that time has passed i have realised most of the power players are new to roleplaying and they dont know that they powerplaying . I used to be super mean to them now i just ask them to stop nicely or just void them . So if you meet a powerplayer ask them to stop or just void them no need to be rude about it . Some people pretend tp be power players tp show other people that its not nice to power play .

I did a Nightwing VS Icewing RP once. It was really fun for the group that joined i think. Even tho we nightwings were out numbered. Anyone can use this RP if they want. Put roles like who can be queen or genaral or a spy or scout or guard or a solider. Finding prisoners and taking prisoners (I dont know if thats banned or not, its like a war RP so im not very sure if you can have prisoners or not) Really for any war rp, like enemy tribes (Seawings VS Skywings, IceWings VS Nightwings) You shouldn't do anything like Mudwings VS Skywings cuz they were allied in the war, it wouldn't make since.
Another fun RP that I did before was the royal seawing massecre (Sorry for spelling) RP
Or an RP just living as a tribe
Seawings (They will have meetings, patrols, royalty drama, anything)

Hello! This was actually a really nice video you made, and I feel it'll help alot of people! Although, I think you should've mentioned something else, which was to NOT do something after someone tells you to stop. I have had this happen many times to me, mainly on Roblox FNaF RP's, where a random person will walk up to me, kill/destroy my character, and continue trying to even when I keep trying to tell them to stop and that I do not give permission for that. It happens to me all the time, and it can become a bit frustrating over time, as I think that would be a great don't to mention in the video. Although I guess it is slightly similar to the PTK rule you mentioned.... Anyways, either way, amazing video, you did a fantastic job on it! :3

One time I was doing a school role play with my RainWing OC, Tarsier, who has a frost breath burn on his throat, making it so he can’t talk due to it damaging his vocal cords. There was an IceWing animus there doing her own thing, but when I was alone, she was like **Heals your scar with animus magic** . I didn’t know how to respond to that and I didn’t want to be rude, so I uh. Poofed.

I met the best role player in this game before. Sadly I don’t have their username, but they were a master of character, roleplay, devolving a story, etc. It was kinda crazy.
My fav oc is Afterglow
She’s an old, retired guard, almost 500 years old.
She’s a brown sky’wing a light yellow under’belly, she usually crashes into things due to poor eyesight (caused by her age) which, lead to her death, where she crashed into the queen, killing the queen, and the impact hit the wall, smashing her skull and impaling her brain, the queen did land on top of her. Crushing the rest of her body.
Now here’s her story
Born as a kind, loving little dragonet, she had little sense of danger, which is why an animus had to give her an eyepatch due to a rainwing using its venom on her on accident. Then a group of seawings drowned her mother in front of her own eyes when she was about 9 years old. 19 years later, she found out about the seawings who killed her mother and saw them drown a few of her friends, furious she killed them, and burnt their bodies. 20 years later, she became a guard and did her job, but then 69 years later, she retired but an injured sandwing dragonet named cactus came in. She remembered her eyepatch and put it on his eye, it was for the same reason, rainwing venom.
After about 3 weeks, she removed the eyepatch and he was able to see properly again.
Then after around 300 years ish, she was going to say hello to the new queen. But crashed, her sharp horns stabbing her in the heart, they both hit the throne and then.... part of the wall, fell on them, crushing the two.
Afterglow’s legacy is still told to this day.

so i have a SkyWing oc named Mars.
he used to have a sister, but she sacrificed herself in her own lab for an experient. Mars is comepletely scarred for life.
he tries to save his sister, but instead gets about 3 tails, since it was a disortation experiment. his sister instantly died, because she had most affect from it.
after his parents were picked off, along with his aunt, makes him have to live with his only and supportive cousin. he has no job, since hes old enough, but no dragons take him seriously.
so instead of joining a job, he makes one.
he escapes from his cousin in the middle of the night, and pickpockets enough money for a setup.
and then he hosts a Freakshow/Circus.
a lot of dragons born with defects get the message, and they soon gather around to join.
anyway, the Freakshow part is based off of The Greatest Showman.
