I used Lumia 520 for almost 2 years.and believe me it was lightning fast and I just loved it using all day long.still having the phone in my collection.

Windows was for professionals. Simple User interface tha animated tiles pe based. Most lag free out of all OS. Na koi jitters hote the na freeze. 1.5 GHz ka processor better performance diya karta tha android ke more on numbers quad core processors se. Lumia 920 till date I believe was an excellent phone. Us time ke hisaab se uska camera kafi zada accha tha with their carl Zeiss lense. Meri chalti bike pe pocket se gira tha at 60 kmph. Minor back and side body damage ke alawa koi damage nahi tha, na hi screen mein.
Exactly Carl zeiss lens is use in Nokia Symbian.

I had used a Windows 🪟 phone Nokia Lumia 520, I had used it as a secondary device while I was continuing my study in college. I bought it for my immense love towards lumia and windows OS and this love still exists. I struggled a little bit extra to bought this in those days. The most interesting part obviously as I have previously mentioned the OS, next level, it feels like very fluid and very very innovative that will give you a feel like you are using a very premium and techy phone in these days too, though it's my personal experience. The second thing I must say is camera, Lumia Phones' camera used to be outstanding. If luckily Lumia relaunch again I will buy a Lumia phone without any pinch of doubt.
I had a Windows phone Nokia Lumia 630 DS . And it is still working perfectly. Nokia is great on terms of build quality and performance.

Lumia used to never get hanged. It was smooth Buttery experience with limited applications (only which was necessary). Nokia should have developed it according to market needs but they failed or else it had the power to regain customer retention.

I am still using 640 xl....it's been Three and half years and still getting security patch updates on monthly basis..........I love it.......As you said lack of apps is the main reason behind it's failure. Have used Nokia 510 and Nokia 730 too these are really great.... Hope will get windows phones back

I had used Microsoft lumia 640xl, its definitely true that windows really lacks in application, I was limited by only 10-20 apps but its UI was buttersmooth and the camera was on top at that time(2014).

One thing i really liked about windows phone os that it's UI ... When they launched the metro ui in their windows phone os ...iOS and Android started working on flat ui or i would say started copying metro ui... So windows phone started a trend of flat ui instead of using skeuomorphism ui(3d icons) first. But sadly they don't have so much apps in their store so yeah have to shut it down.
