Nuggets seemed more tired at end of game 1 than TWolves, which is insane for a team used to play at mile high. Murray especially was laboring and gave up on pretending to play any defense. We’ll see how Nuggets respond in game 2 but I’m not optimistic as a Nuggets fan
First nuggets fan I seen not making a handful of excuses for the home loss. Murray not at 100% but a championship caliber team should have solid role players that make up the production.

Yep, the difference between this year and last year is Murray is playing injured. Sure, lots of people are hurt in the playoffs and play through it, but I wouldn't be surprised if he has another offseason surgery. He's just not right.

Nuggets adjusted just the way JJ was saying they needed to do, i.e. create space for Murray. Nice call.
Jokic should have put that shot up as a floater vs trying to force it to Gordon. He wasn’t open and Jokic had a wide open floater that he couldn’t have blocked.
Jokic had a bad game and made bad decisions
All the other guys who can do that have massive physical talents. Draymond breaks up 3-on-1’s as a 6’6” PF. Man needs to be on that list too.

Minnesota's defense is immense and solid and their bench is full of quality.
Nuggets needs quality backup for Murray and at least one quality big 7foot guy to give Jokic some freedom, then they would be nearly unstoppable. Denver needs to be more aggressive and do better defensively and maybe do some surprise tactic changes, but will be difficult, Timberwolves are very good.
In all respect, Rudy can move. Everyone has been saying that but that was on Utah. Rudy is better in space than KAT. Also Jaden is why Murray will struggle.
You beat MN by making them turn it i over, it is the kryptonite. Don’t get exhausted in the first half, MN likes to use their 8 starters and style to exhaust. 3. The den role guys need to hit outside shots.

@@ridgethomas1998 Agreed. Although equally as hard to see them playing THAT bad ever again. Wolves D seems to match up well putting length on Murray. But shooting 34% as a team isn't going to happen a lot either, regardless of how good a D is.

JJ keeps disrespecting AD's defense. AD made the same play last series where Jokic had the ball in the lane and lobbed it to AG, but AD intercepted the lob.

Anthony Edwards is insane, but the fact is the wolves can get KAT, Naz, Jaden, Conley, Rudy or NAW dropping 20 to help. Denver doesn't have the defense to deal with whoever will pop alongside Ant every night, even if and drops 15, Kat and Naz can put up 60 together.

My biggest take away is how dirty the Nuggets play. Even with all their dirty play they couldn't beat the Timberwolves.

The correct comparison to Anthony Edwards is not MJ it is Isiah Thomas of the bad boy pistons.
Like Isiah he does not have to be ball dominate to destroy you. He is happy to take over only
when it really matters and likes to see his teammates succeed. Rugged, fast and cool.
Isiah is small and Ant is huge physically. There is no similarity in their games

The Nuggets did nothing to get better this offseason or in season. The bench is worse than last year and they have never had a true back up 5 to rest Jokic. The Wolves have 4 guys they would play against Jokic. The organization needs to use this as a wake up call.

Ant isn’t going off for that again and Murray isn’t gonna be as hesitant as he was in the first half game one
Thing is who keeping ant from doing that? He averaging 33 8 and 6. You take away his bad shooting night in game 2 against Phoenix and he averaging 38. Its not like his performance was uncharacteristic. He is truly like that. I also don't know how good Murray gonna be as he's not 100% and they got a lot to throw at him specifically in NAW, Ant, mcdaniels, and even Conley who's at least competent. That's a lot for Murray to handle. What Denver needs is everyone else to step up. Hoping Anthony edwards doesn't go off is not a viable strategy. The bench got to do something and they need more from KCP and AG.

@@kaiba8954you’ve got a pretty great chance honestly. Aaron Gordon is a non-factor offensively, Jamal has been shooting poorly all playoffs, and Denver’s bench is poor. If Jamal and Gordon bounce back then I think Denver takes it, but the Wolves defense has been quite good
