I've had this for the better part of a year. This video convinced me to go back and play it. Second run in I beat the second boss for the first time! 8.3% of players have this achievement.

In hunt there are no super powers or special abilities, the weapons are based on real guns of that time with some exceptions, and monsters are to make the game less borring. i dont see where this supernatural come from? because you shoot zombies from time to time except other players? it is still pvp based, monsters are just traps for newbies and distraction from pvp.
Try good old Call of Juarez if you want FPS in wild west.

@@sarkham92 isn't the whole point of Hunt to go hunt the supernatural monster on the map and escape with it's essence? You don't have to have super powers neccesarily for something to be considered supernatural.
@Wimpleton Duck IS, not was. Hunt is better than ever and the player base is larger than ever.
Love how Splattercat ask a question 'You ever play sunset riders?' and pauses for us to answer and then explains it to us. Awesome.

Sweet I adore the atmospere in this, gameplay looks satisfying too.
Bro, I was practically screaming, "COLLECT ALL AMMOOOO!!" because I know that is a recipe for disaster when you have a good gun but you have no ammo for it. I made it into the green map for like 2 levels before dying. I have at least 4 characters unlocked and I have unlocked at least 7 loadouts. PLAY THE GAME you won't regret it. I'm glad to see people playing it. 😃
I love the way the bullets go in and the flight path is affected and they come out in a different direction. The devs on this did so well...the details are excellent.
I will forever love any and all references to Cormano. Sunset Riders was just so good.

When you released this video (a few days ago) I really liked the look of Colt Canyon. This prompted me to buy it and play it, and yes, it's a great game and I'm really pleased that I picked it up. Similar to that story, I also picked up Ring of Pain based on your play-test, and I'm also finding that very appealing to play. (I picked up Slay The Spire a long time ago, and poured hundreds of hours into that, and Ring of Pain hits that same itch.)

If ammo is a concern, regular enemies can be one shot with your melee attack from behind. I usually try to stealth my way through as far as possible, until I mess up and alert the enemy. Then I have a fair stack of ammo, once I'm forced to shoot it out.
I knew you were a Cormano player like me! Imagine my awe when, as a kid, I found out it was also the name of a town in the region near my own.

You're right about the Varmint rifle they're chambered below .22 magnum.
I remember the last video, it was so fun when you realised the impact of shots. It's good to see more gun variety thrown into the mix because the base was already solid and satisfying, now there's enough to keep things fresh and interesting for quite a number of runs.

Splattercat I think it would be neat for you to do a top 10 games of the year you played, maybe top 5 most improved since you tend to revisit earl access . I want a Splattercat Beat of year. Like the game awards. Do viewers picks and such.

like the look, dos have a distinct western-vibe. DON'T like shooting dogs, that's a absolute check-mark against in my book. A line thou shalt NOT cross.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think this game is bad, far from that, but I always wonder why do people make games likes these, nowdays, when there are so many games up there with way better graphics? Is it profitable for a studio to make 'em? What are their expections when they make something like that.
Hunt showdown does count
Almost a perfect game, but like all rogue likes now adays, it suffers from the "start same place and go foreword" trope. Always kills the fun for me. Gorgeous for pixel art though. Love the game play cycle. Just so tired of starting and starting and starting on the same level.
Also, needs akimbo. The term literally originates from this time period.
