To avoid a 10-hour drive day we decide to boondock in Quartzsite, AZ overnight for the first time! A quirky RV Mecca, it's the perfect stopover even when we arrive after dark. Then we get settled at Soledad Canyon Thousand Trails in the mountains north of Los Angeles.
