@@zhejiwooinkwangya so after showcasing their vocals in vlive, what current supported range does LILY have ? I heard some of her E5 note is supported or some of the random comments say she's supported that note
@@boppop717 It's still the same. And Lily supporting higher than D5/Eb5 is nothing super out of the ordinary as it's common for singers with a strong sense of support to still be able to carry support higher than their usual limit.
Chuu has slightly better and more consistent support (Chuu has supported quite a few A4 and Bb4s as well, Yves is not particularly unique here). Plus, not everything is about support when it comes to technique. Yves is like...flat or pitchy a lot of the times, indicating a fairly poor pitch control (whereas Chuu and Haseul are better there). And her upper register is very undevelopped, she gets extra tight really easily in her falsetto - more than she should be. She does have the second best support in mixed voice in the fourth octave within LOONA. You guys go ahead and do whatever you want with that information.

I watched the let it go cover again and I just realized Haewon had a nice Eb5. Idk how I missed it or myb I just ignored it but what do we say about it? does it carry support??
Wait I’m dead we were so impressed by Lily’s sustained and supported C#5 that we totally ignored poor Haewon’s Eb5 💀 But to answer your question yes it was supported as well
quick question from a non singer here: how do you recognize a supported note? like genuinely i can tell when a note is strained but never when one is supported
i still can't recognize well supported notes but the thing is that supported one is more "open", the sound is healthy too sometimes, (for me, i don't know if it works like that) u can imagine the note and if it sounds like is stuck in a "box" is not supported (lmao please don't laugh) and the strained ones sounds the opposite. not open, not healthy like is making some hurt, and probably it will sound like they are yelling. hope it works!!
I don't know whether it would be useful or not, but there's some sort of explanation of different notes in the video called "How to rank kpop vocalists" on "srynotsorry" channel
supported notes sound more relax, crystal clear and open/full with diaphragm control (breath control). some vocalists sound very tight depending on breath control instead of open/full while supporting, in such a situation we call those vocalists inconsistent "x" note like c5
Okay, not related to the groups mentioned or 4th gen, but can Wheein and Hwasa of MAMAMOO can be considered non-fringe high A-AA or mid-high A-AA? They're pretty high up there in that tier, but I think there are vocalists like Kei, NingNing, and Minseo (apparently) who are technically better than both of them (and also consider the guys as well lol...like how high is BTOB Changsub btw, he sounds like he can be better than both of them too aside from his jaw issues from what I've seen from his collar with Solar in one of the Solarsido videos lmao) and also considering Wheein's quite light approach and issues/inconsistencies with B4/C5 and Hwasa's quite messy approach and even inconsistencies within her supported range as well (also Wheein >= Hwasa to me too), so idk lol.
I'd still say Wheein is a bit higher on the A-AA list, she can still pull off some phrased C#5s alright enough and she's not bad if she puts in the effort. Hwasa wouldn't be too far away. I'm not sure Minseo and Ningning would be ahead of Wheein. Depends actually, she has her moments. Changsub is mid-high ish A-AA for me. He's pretty good already, he just goes into his throat wayyy too often. It's a bit rarer to hear a good, clean G4. But aside from that, he's fine.
NingNing (nd maybe alao Minseo) is weaker than Wheein nd Hwasa, her coordination is way too soft and she is often inconsistent. Hwasa has A3-B4/C5 with occasional resonance, she did not regress lol she just got more stylistic but she was always inconsistent with C5, since debut, right now she is not really putting any effort nor is she singing challenging songs, so ofc she wouldnt need to produce resonance or to focus that much on technique, pretty much same thing Wheein except that her mix is more free nd she actually regressed czz her coordination nd diaphragmatic engagment are both considerably weaker, she still is consistent with G#3-C5 imo tho, she can sound stuck on B4 czz of her stylistic choices of placing the sound in her nose or adding unnecessary air to her singing, but its not somethinh that is CONSISTENTLY present in her live singing. I think both Hwasa nd Wheein are just chilling with their music honestly, Wheein should rest her voice nd take lessons imo
I know she not even in the group. But, how about the heejin ? Is she the strongest one or chaesol still better ?? (She previously main vocal of gooday, chaesol old group).
I genuinely feel like Sullyoon and Kyujin (mostly kyujin) are average now. Sullyoon was much fuller w most of her covers and Kyujin maintained that full approach that she has been going for a while now.
If that the case then Jinni should be average as well(?) since she is higher than sullyoon in community tab. But, I find Jinni still W-A, cause the inconsistent issue.
@@days3164 no, you're reaching. jinni can be inconsistent but she has better support when she's trying, it's definitely some confidence issue. i'd argue that jinni supports the best among the 4 w-a up to A4 only, Bb4 is the range where she goes more shallow. jinni can be choppy as well but she can be less shallow kyujin and sullyoon might be above jinni, but not jiwoo. but idk, i feel like those 3 (kyujin, sullyoon, and jinni) rn are running circle around each other.

Haewon's 4th octave according to what I have read is full and amazing but she lacks in the 5th octave her approach is wrong for that amd above c#5 her chestier approach hinders her . Right?

Chuu has slightly better and more consistent support (Chuu has supported quite a few A4 and Bb4s as well, Yves is not particularly unique here). Plus, not everything is about support when it comes to technique. Yves is like...flat or pitchy a lot of the times, indicating a fairly poor pitch control (whereas Chuu and Haseul are better there). And her upper register is very undevelopped, she gets extra tight really easily in her falsetto - more than she should be.

I watched the let it go cover again and I just realized Haewon had a nice Eb5. Idk how I missed it or myb I just ignored it but what do we say about it? does it carry support??
Wait I’m dead we were so impressed by Lily’s sustained and supported C#5 that we totally ignored poor Haewon’s Eb5 💀 But to answer your question yes it was supported as well
quick question from a non singer here:
how do you recognize a supported note? like genuinely i can tell when a note is strained but never when one is supported
i still can't recognize well supported notes but the thing is that supported one is more "open", the sound is healthy too sometimes, (for me, i don't know if it works like that) u can imagine the note and if it sounds like is stuck in a "box" is not supported (lmao please don't laugh)
and the strained ones sounds the opposite. not open, not healthy like is making some hurt, and probably it will sound like they are yelling.
hope it works!!
I don't know whether it would be useful or not, but there's some sort of explanation of different notes in the video called "How to rank kpop vocalists" on "srynotsorry" channel
supported notes sound more relax, crystal clear and open/full with diaphragm control (breath control). some vocalists sound very tight depending on breath control instead of open/full while supporting, in such a situation we call those vocalists inconsistent "x" note like c5
generally in kpop, vocalists might sound very tight while supporting c5
so the more advanced a vocalist is, the better/developed in their supported range (depending on their technique)
someone on bird app said lily's C#5 in let it go was resonated? can someone confirm

Proficient to good
Okay, not related to the groups mentioned or 4th gen, but can Wheein and Hwasa of MAMAMOO can be considered non-fringe high A-AA or mid-high A-AA?
2 coisas:
1. o que é um supported vocal ?
2. como é ser o melhor canal do seu nicho?

Oh interesting 👀
💅🏻
hehehehehehehehehelp
Did Lily support that Eb5 in Let it go?
the "let the storm rage on" part
Yes it was supported, but it wasn’t resonant contrary to the popular opinion.
Not related but did itzy improve after sneakers??
No, not yet (:
Damn, BAE really stuck on her throat. Im not able to hear the way she sings like that in a long period.
It sounds like dua lipa and I don't like dua lila's voice one bit (can't even listen to her songs except levitating)
Righttt nmixx member really need to toldd bae to leave thattt approach cuz its doesn't sound good
You can tell that she’s very much influenced by Dua Lipa and the way she sings since Dua also has a throaty approach with singing lol. Someone block all of Dua’s songs on Bae’s Spotify for us pls 🤣
Not sure, but was the E5 supported?
Edit: ua-cam.com/video/2z9bIZTF2Ns/v-deo.html
@Random I think so though, so at best she has E5.
@ミSHIKAミ ? I asked it tho, I just assume it. But my guess it was supported.
@I stan Lina, the resonance queen yes she needs the fuller midrange. Btw, is it just the fuller midrange and low that she needs the most?
@@breats4703 She needs to improve her sound quality in her mix a bit more. As in she needs to put more effort into her mid rnange and have more consistent fullness in her mix. Her lows doesn't really affect her place much but it would be nice to also be stronger in that register.
@@zhejiwooinkwangya if say, lily improves her mid range quality to likes of solji or better would she move a tier or would just in the upper extreme of aa?
aespa just won their 1st trophy BUT THEY WERENT ATTENDING FUCKXKKCKCKCK 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Omg i'm so mad, i was so excited when i saw "Girls 1st Win + Encore", can't believe i got fooled like that lol
@@Sylvaincks RIGHT like i kept searching youtube and on twitter only for me to realize aespa is nowhere to be found on that stage... 😭😭😭😭😭
@@zhejiwooinkwangya btw did they just stop promoting on music shows ? They went there like 2 times since their comeback
@@Sylvaincks I think they have one more week of promos (this week)
same 😭
Chaesol is weak to average?
i think she is actually average because she consistent support in both register, has a good technique (she don't have/living a problem with nasality), has a beautiful range (i think she 3 octave like other kpop vocalists this a standart), has a beautiful stamina and good in agility (especially with lower register)
so personally, there's no reason chaesol to be weak to average instead average
Yeah, she still pretty to a bit shallow in support and a tad airy at times too, but like the effort she put in those Bb4’s and B4’s in the last section of her part at 1:23. She kind of reminds me a bit of Karina in terms of effort except cleaner tbh.
@@yourkpopvocalanalyst She literally sounds quite small and light, I wouldn't say she is safe average at all.
@@KittyTsundere and a bit less full I think
oh it was deleted again after editing it ty to the user that tried to help me sjsjsjsjjs i guess there are too many links so yt see the comment as spam, im doing a last try and see if i put all the links comment by comment under this it doesn´t get deleted 💀
karina cover bubble, she is trying to replicate the og artist way of singing so this is kinda stylistic and not very serious but around 1:35 to nearly the end are good b4 idk if this has been analyzed thoo

oh update, yt seem to delete the comments w twitter links i seee, there were a bunch of recent fancalls of karina singing a bruno mars song, ning not singing really serious but i was curious if there was any note that deserves to be highlighted of her recent run fancall, lingo and icu fancall and rain of taeyeon fancall hhahah people should recopilate them in yt videos
ok so i found one clip in yt ua-cam.com/video/TFKs0BKc20U/v-deo.html 8:34 winter singing atlantis princess by boa, wondering if there is anything interesting about it hehe
