The super high-rise that I keep seeing reminds me of my moms jeans in the late 80’s.
I have several pair of original button fly Levi's. I get 30×30 which are a little big on me as I wear sizes 6 to 8 and am 5'5". I've been loyal to these jeans since I was 12yrs old.
It’s an unbreakable bond when you find the perfect jeans! Definitely need to add to my 501 collection soon☺️

I just ordered this exact style and colour in two sizes! I am the same height as you and agree that the length is perfect. Yours have a beautiful fit width wise as well. Did you size down as the sales lady suggested? I am not sure if I should keep the pair that is comfy or the smaller size that is nice too but tighter at the hips.
Yes, they’re a great length aren’t they! I did size down from a 28 to a 26. I’d say my exact, ideal size is a 27 waist but usually sizes go up in two’s so i’ll opt for a 28 for comfort, as a 26 is usually a little too snug. I’d say the 26 is definitely tighter than the rest of my jeans but they’re not uncomfortable to wear.
The sales assistant advised me to wear the 26 around the house for a couple of hours to test the comfort. I found that they are just practical enough to wear! They also loosen up a little as you move about in them which is worth remembering. Hope this helps! X
An update. I kept the comfortable size and then during the summer even lost some weight and now the jeans are really, really loose and I should rebuy them in two sizes down 😬
I tried Levi's 501s but they don't suit me, I am slim but have slightly wider hips than I'd like! What I don't like about 501s is that they taper at the bottom and are not real straight jeans, so they make my hips and thighs look bigger. I found true straight cigarette jeans in M&S, they're in their Autograph range with lyocell and they come in a lovely ocean blue colour and different lengths, I hope theyy'll make them in darker washes too. A real find and often sold out in my size 6, highly recommeneded! £49.50

Yeah, I did size down. I’d definitely consider doing the same if they’re comfortable enough because they do loosen over time. 😊

Normally in Jeans I’m a 27 but in these Levi’s I got a 26 as they loosen after a while.😊

Hum.. I have those same jeans (at least the ones on the link) and they are not as tapered at the bottom... These look more like the Levi's skinny.
Hey :) They possibly just look slightly different on people depending on the size and your shape. These are the 501 originals and i sized down which may be why they look slimmer in the leg.
