Thank you for this very interesting video. It will help me greatly. I am a little older than you but was a skirts/dresses only person (religious reasons) until fairly recently. I am now comfortable in dress pants but found it difficult to buy a pair of jeans that fitted and were comfortable.

Your video helped me narrow down the type of ribcage jeans I wanted to try. I wanted to ask you what color of ribcage are you wearing in the video? The link shows the ribcage but it doesn't seem to match the color in the video or perhaps the color online is slightly different? Thanks so much.

This video helped me decide on the correct size for my recent purchase of the ribcage full legth jeans, thank you so much for mentioning all important details! I totally relate about the colour, it took me literally years to find the perfect blue without any greenish or greyish tints, but also not too stark of a blue. But I finally succeeded in finding the perfect colour and I absolutely love them - not only the wash but also the fit. They actually make it seem like I have curves even though I am built very straight. Also, I heard that Levis do really great sales, so it can be worth waiting... Apparently they are quite heavily discounted on the regular, about 30% off or so, or alternatively you can purchase them via a stockist (I got mine via Za lando at about 45% off).

It’s interesting you say to downsize cause any time I’ve ever tried on Levi’s at a thrift store in my size, they’re always 1-3 sizes too small for me - and those are worn in.

A tip: white washes you out, because its high contrast, try an off white,this will suit you better😊

great video. love your style and ideas, especially the first outfit with the navy vest like top, very chic and versatile and classic yet navy paired with those light colored jeans providing an element of surprise at least for me. i for one think that navy is not getting enough cred. in general. im a denim person too. i don't own a white shirt either, it seems just too, i don't know, too waitress-y slash office-y and just uninspiring on its own. anyway great outfit ideas

I bought Levi's ribcage straight jeans. They have only 79% cotton. I am confused, are they worth it ?

Same, jeans are my uniform. Very helpful review thanks. I have also looked at a lot of jeans recently and have found that straight leg can often be tapered from the knee down which looks frankly dated imo or really baggy and more of a wide leg. Having spent decades trying jeans on Levi’s are my favourite for all the reasons that you explain. Will be trying some Ribcage asap as I have 501 already which I love but are quite low waisted and not so good for tucking in tops. 😊

Great job with all the pieces! I must say I found it funny that you find the Cortez's 'chunky'. Regarding styling crew socks, when you think they look bad or don't go is probably when they look best and most modern.

You look so young you can dress however you want ;) I've worn crew socks with vejas and short shorts last year and I really liked the little preppy boy aesthetic it gave.

Love your reports as I can relate to them, even though I am 63, my most worn pieces are my new Levi 501s in light wash ( first ever pair of Levi’s apart from a pair from a charity shop ) with the clean cut T shirt from Cos in white.
