The TOKO holds an art exhibition in the store approximately every two weeks. These art exhibitions respect the world view of the artists, especially Mashiko ceramic artists.
“TOKO Online Gallery” also accepts shipments from Japan to overseas.

Dyeing artist Keisuke Serizawa was the first in the dyeing and weaving field to be designated a Living National Treasure in 1956. At that time, the artistry of dyeing with molds was not recognized, but the world of Keisuke Serizawa's dyeing had a high level of pictorial artistry, Therefore, "kata-e-zome" was added to the traditional "kata-zome" to mean highly pictorial, and it came to be called "kata-e-zome".
Mr. Kiyoto Shimodaira, who has been working at Mr. Serizawa's studio in Kamata for 23 years, celebrated his 88th birthday this year and took up a new challenge: kata-e-zome on pottery.
In this exhibition, we will focus on his "designs" and "kata".

染色家の芹沢銈介氏は、染織においてはじめて1956年に人間国宝に認定されました。当時は型で染めるものは芸術性が認められていませんでしたが、芹沢銈介氏の世界はそれまでになく絵画性芸術性が高いということから、「型染」に「絵」を入れ「型絵染」ということばが芹沢銈介作品に付けられました。
芹沢氏の蒲田の工房で23年間、傍で作品作りをしてきた下平清人先生は、今年米寿を迎えられ、焼物に型染めをするという、新たな形に挑まれました。
今回の展覧会では、先生の「図案」と「型」に焦点を当てて展示を致します。

日本の栃木県益子町にギャラリーを構える「陶庫」は創業から49年目を迎えます。陶器ギャラリーとして益子を中心とした30名以上の陶器作家の作品を展示販売しています。
年間で約24回開催する展覧会では約2週間ごとにギャラリーが入れ替わります。
