My tip (after 4 kids) is always to allow them to try walking with no shoes or socks or onesies. They get great feedback from their bare feet. Lovely video, by the way...thanks!
My tip for a single mother that works all the time...w/out any solid help Is your baby's gonna walk! Also my baby pretty much did it on her own & that's accomplishment enough. Will barely even let anyone help her
This video gave me some ideas how to encourage my baby girl to walk. She’s already 8 months and picking her self up and cruising along the couch. She loves it when we take her by the hands and she toddles around the house.
@mama natural I just wanted to encourage you that walking early is not a sign that something is wrong with your daughter. Me and my siblings all walked early (some never crawled). We all did well in life. My sister in fact graduated college at 16. Please don’t listen to the discouragement. People are often worried about their own little ones and so they discourage others. God bless
Born to learn and parents are and accessory to the unfolding learner instilling love, assurance , response and applause. The looks of delight , consintration, uncertainty on these lovely learners
If its a trigger them simply dont watch it as for me i love watching videos like this ,my daughter just turned one friday and on that day she walking like a pro so every child is different just let them take their time when the time seems fit he/she wld walk
Ok then my baby was legitimately standing as a newborn. Why? Bc I had all the time in the world while on," maternity leave." Had her dancing & everything. So there's that
Thank you for having so many videos of the phases of there walking. I was reading my exercise book and it was talking about child walking. After seeing I can see how they rely on which muscles are stronger until the others build up the strength to handle complex movements.
Involvement of slow, normal and fast growers would encourage all parents, as for my daughter is now 1year and two months but a wheel walker .as a first mum am so happy she's having normal growth
It seems my music students have forgotten why they need to practice to be good at playing. I don’t know if you will see this, but that you for posting it.
Aaah so cute! My son started crawling at 8 mo and immediately began pulling himself up onto things. He's 9 months, tomorrow, and I'm excited to see him keep learning and growing. 🥰
I think this video does not talk about development for a normal child, but for children who walked fast, so it may be frustrating for mothers, especially if he is their first child
This is a really lovely video but I imagine it could be a source of stress for some parents whose babies are late at attempting and mastering to walk. All babies are different and very unique. It would have been more helpful if you had omitted the babies' ages.
I can see where this could be helpful but adding the ages are equally helpful as baseline for average development-all kiddos do develop at different rates but if a babe is very behind the curve it can be helpful to know so that a doctor can assess and provide early help if needed!
@@mamanatural I disagree. You mention it’ll be useful as a “baseline for average development”. However, your baby isn’t average in this case. He’s well ahead of the average! Doctors in the UK would send you back home if you go see them concerned about your baby not walking at 10-12 months. In the UK you’re not seen until 18 months. So how has your baseline helped in this case? As the other poster said, no need to mention the age when as a mum you should know this could add undue pressure on other parents. However, it’s your channel so you can do what you like!
Nah I love watching these videos! My child is 17 months and isn't walking yet but she is getting there and can cruise and hold a walker. I live in the UK so don't get seen till 18 months but I'm not worried and I love seeing videos of little ones growing and taking steps etc... makes me excited to see my own little one do this one day. If it causes a parents stress then they should just not watch the video 🤷♀️ You don't see a grown man crawling into the office with a dummy in his mouth, so really at the end of the day every child gets there and if there's some medical reasoning then I'm sure it will be detected and support will be given to them in due time.
@@maz2825 saying don’t just watch these videos isn’t helpful. The title doesn’t warn you that it’s about another parent showing off their child reaching this milestone way ahead of the normal milestone so you won’t be worried /concerned until you actually finish watching the videos. This video is helpful but could’ve been a lot better with a bit of sensitivity and disclaimer 🤷🏽♀️
You all are experts. You didn’t start standing the baby too early and she don’t have that bow legged stuff. Those chairs are bomb and they should be put in a book -this how you train you children to walk. You all got Dr Spock beat. Love this video so much.
My baby as a newborn DEF stiffened up her legs as a newborn bc I just wanted her to know what it felt like having to stand on something w/ her feet. Plus there was a table by the mirror so I "made her walk" & let her watch herself. So yeah, she was "standing." If you can call that 🙄 standing. Then I had to go to work.
Walking early is associated with learning difficulties in early childhood if the child does not meanwhile continue to regularly crawl. Curious to know if your child had some delays in fine motor or learning letter sounds. Crawling longer and walking later is associated with better scores on the preschool test. This information comes from a neuroscientist btw not the CDC which removed crawling as a milestone (even though those who don’t crawl often end up having learning difficulties).
We purposefully didn’t encourage walking with our child and just enjoyed the journey. The child in this video was extremely fast in reaching the stages, definitely not normal. From the looks at the props though, the baby was encouraged to start early.
@@shalombereshiyth There are people without arms who play the piano and those without legs who complete marathons. That doesn’t discredit the fact that most people without arms and legs won’t do a lot of less demanding things than those because when you don’t have arms and legs it makes many things harder. The same may apply with not crawling. You will have your exceptions but many who don’t crawl may struggle as a result.
My son is 13months now & won't walk 😟 He can pull himself up, walk along furniture & stand unassisted if you hand him a snack he'll let go of the furniture & just stand there eating but if you set him on his feet & then let go he'll get mad & drop to his butt. Been doing all that since by 10 months old but just won't walk.

Agreed. No mention anywhere that it’s atypical.

Not at all! Each baby hits developmental milestones at slightly different paces!
She is a doll! Thank you for the video. :)

Kiddos hit their milestone at many different ages. If you're ever worried, please reach out to your provider.

Studies don’t tell everything. My sister didn’t crawl ever and she graduated college at 16 years old. Everyone is different.
What's the evidence to back this claim up aside from someone's word?
