한국의 영화는 천천히 시작해서 마지막에 당신의 감정을 터뜨려버리는 빌드업을 시전한다. 아무리 마음에 문을 닫고 무장을 해도 결국엔 눈물을 흘릴수 밖에 없다.

I loved this movie when I first watched it. Such a beautiful story, I'm so glad you reacted to this. So many tears I shed watching this, I'm happy watching others take the same emotional journey.
Fun fact, the 2 movies were shot at the same time, the post production took a long time that is why it looked so well done. The 3d instalment was delayed due to the main character, D.O (the friend of the younger brother in the military) was slated to enlist in the military.

That one of the girls in the film is the same actress as the daughter from Train to Busan.
I enjoyed watching it, but it is a Korean story and an oriental emotional movie. After watching the movie, I am also curious about the Western perspective.
i think it wont be too different since its all same for any religion (terms of the afterlife: heaven and hell, the judge day or punishment) but not the reincarnation.

When the movie first came out, Koreans were harsh on the CGI. However, it soon changed after learning that the movie was filmed with 1/10 money of the Hollywood movies. I personally enjoyed it as a 2017 movie. I recommend you to read the original webtoon of this trilogy.
