This just shows how Marques is so involved in almost every process of the videos, even though he delegates a lot of work he is always making decisions and directing the channel towards his vision of it.
It's also humbling to see how old his videos actually are. Most of us know him only in the late 2010s when he really started becoming famous. But he has literally been filming since he was an actual child (you can see in one of the videos he had to get back to school to finish his final exams).
Andrew is such an important part of the team. Really enjoy his creativity, consistency, and hard work. I did enjoy this concept. I hope you do more of these and also another road trip video. That was a blast.
Agreed! He's definitely my favourite studio member and I've been loving all his content on this channel. He's hilarious on Waveform too, hope to see more of him and hope he decides to stream again sometime
This video hit me hard with nostalgia. I can't believe how long I've been subscribed to this channel, or at least MKBHD. Also seeing HTC reminds me of how much I miss HTC.
Same! Marques' HTC One M7 review is around the time i first found his channel and that video is part of what got me to buy that phone and it was the first smartphone i bought myself (second one i owned after the HTC Inspire 4G my parents got me). So it's super nostalgic for me too.
I remember HTC in its prime and how much love they were getting in 2014 with the One M8. Almost all channels were praising it over the competition, some even put it above the M9 that came a year later. Losing HTC stung, so when LG went dark too, I felt LG fans' pain.
I used to play a game about tipping a marble around on my Dad's HTC. I tried searching for it on Reddit but couldn't read any posts. Something to do with some blackout in my area maybe?? Anyone remember what it was called?
Absolutely the same. I cannot believe that I found MKBHD through Jon and his dream desk series. A big big fan. My love for technology is thanks to team crispy ❤️
This was awesome! Honestly, Andrew just came off as a appreciative, lifelong fan of a MKBHD and it was really cool to see Marques reminisce and reflect on his life’s work. Yes we need another one!
What?? Yo we have those EVERYWHERE. They can perfectly fit over our HVAC unit controls in the new office so we have them in so many shots covering them up 😆
I can’t even remember how far back I found MKBHD. I grew up watching him, and my love for tech was encouraged by his passion. Marques is my favorite UA-camr
Do a category based on the end of video alliterations! It’ll be a lot easier, but it’ll be interesting to see how well some of them aged since starting them
This was a very interesting way of introducing viewers to older content. I started watching after July 16th 2018, when Marques collaborated with iJustine to unbox an old iBook G3. I will have to go back and watch some older videos!
This idea is true fun to watch! Here is a hint for new category: show a still of a studio shot video and "remove" one prop (at the wall etc.) and ask what would that prop have been ...
Love it! I vote similar difficulty, but maybe have a “full knowledge” round where you give points for each aspect of the video. So show one clip or frame from a video and give 1 point for location, 1 point for topic, 1 point for year, 1 point for title
Andrew really made the question hard. He was like: This is more than just a video, I rally want to test you lol. That made the video really authentic Not to mention that Marques really know his videos, too. I really thought I wouldn't get any year right.
Love this fr! Didn't clock how long I've been watching Marques honestly. Thank you all for the work you do! p.s. special shout out to who ever chose that closing song!
I will never forget the first MKBHD video I saw, it was the tesla killers one, and after that I got addicted to the channel😂 love this format btw, congratulations!!
I've always amazed of how the details are put and how those make the videos more meaningful in a way that people might not realize. Talking 'bout 18:38. 👏🏽👏🏽
You should do a category „fake or real“ in which you show Marques real thumbnails and fake ones and let him judge if that video exists or if the thumbnail exists
Ok you've been on Hot Ones twice now. Fantastic episodes by the way. For every one you get wrong, you have to eat a wing with the Last Dab hot sauce on it. For everyone you get right, you get to drink some water and/or milk to help put the fire out. I mean let's have some fun with this. I'm sure Sean Evans would get a kick out of it.
omg, I didnt realise but I correctly guesssed almost all the videos lmaoo, not the geography but I could infer the videos almost in seconds, it's been a wild journey haha.. keep it up boys!
Fun fact: I actually drive on Electronics Parkway every day to work and there's a side street called Transistor Parkway too. Syracuse NY making it on the channel is crazy to me, let alone that street 😮
18:55 this is the time where I follow smartphones in general so I remember this fondly. The trouble back then with the 4.0 is that Google, in their infinite wisdom, called it Ice Cream Sandwich. The next year's version was 4.1 but was the "next gen" Android signaled with a new nickname, Jellybean UNTIL the 4.3 for the next year. Later the same year, they updated to 4.4 KitKat. Afterwards, it becomes easier with the yearly update scheme with version n+1 and followed by a nickname update. Until Android Pie anyway. That said, before v4.0 ICS, any Android bigger updates that Google deemed worthy of nickname update was in the subversion number. Good times.
Give 1-3 props that were in the background of the A roll and he has to name the product that was being spoken about. Having a dope tech related one would be cool too
I feel like a more difficult version of this witj different themed catagories would be best: Ex: 1. Car videos 2. Retro videos (aka older vids) 3. Robotic stuff videos 4. Collab videos 5. Etc
Marques is all about cameras so try to make a category for "Guess which smartphone took this picture" - and to make it a little easier use pictures from the Blind Test that were used in the Blind Test videos! That would be fun 🤣
I doubt a beer tasting video, but people do bring some in after they go on vacation. After a ski trip this year I brought down some Heady Topper and Focal Banger for the non NE people to try out.
Interviewer: so Marques how old is your first kid. Marques: so the iphone 25 came out in 2033 and thats when i met his mum... lets see iphone 34 came out when he was born and now we're at iphone 35 so iphone 34XL-ProRetina-Max-Ultra was 2044 , 2043 was ...... 12 , my son is 12 interviewer : correct
you guys put future video's easter eggs a lot! So one fun category could be a still frame having easter egg of future video, and guess the current and future video!
This just shows how Marques is so involved in almost every process of the videos, even though he delegates a lot of work he is always making decisions and directing the channel towards his vision of it.
And he does so very well.
It's also humbling to see how old his videos actually are. Most of us know him only in the late 2010s when he really started becoming famous. But he has literally been filming since he was an actual child (you can see in one of the videos he had to get back to school to finish his final exams).

Agreed! He's definitely my favourite studio member and I've been loving all his content on this channel. He's hilarious on Waveform too, hope to see more of him and hope he decides to stream again sometime
Love that he is getting some recognition
This video hit me hard with nostalgia. I can't believe how long I've been subscribed to this channel, or at least MKBHD. Also seeing HTC reminds me of how much I miss HTC.

I loved HTC man 🥺
Absolutely the same. I cannot believe that I found MKBHD through Jon and his dream desk series. A big big fan. My love for technology is thanks to team crispy ❤️
Marques's knowledge of which camera was used is impressive 😮
He needs to take care of his HD after MKB... 😊
Man Marques' memory of his own videos after 1500 videos is so good. I can't even remember what I ate yesterday
@eduardo... Funny, saying I can't remember what I ate yesterday. I paused and try to take inventory of what I ate yesterday 🤣😊😂.
This was awesome! Honestly, Andrew just came off as a appreciative, lifelong fan of a MKBHD and it was really cool to see Marques reminisce and reflect on his life’s work. Yes we need another one!
It feels like Andrew is becoming the Dad of the studio! Haha! Always love the vids!
😉
@@Manganellia1Yo!! Enjoyed the vid!
@@Manganellia1 And you wonder why everyone calls you Dad lol. Wanna play Valorant pops?
@@Manganellia1 But that would make Marques the mom of the studio
He had a lawnmower review, which included mowing his own lawn, confirmed dad of the studio
Would love a video on how Andrew joined MKBHD and their whole history together!
I love how Marques begins with his usual restrain and starts to loosen up on the second round. hahaha keep 'em coming Andrew!!
Glad my art became a part of the set! My work is the minimal square graphic art prints 😄 9:23
What?? Yo we have those EVERYWHERE. They can perfectly fit over our HVAC unit controls in the new office so we have them in so many shots covering them up 😆
do you have a shop link??
@@Manganellia1 that's amazing haha. Maybe I should be selling little control covers a little hinge on it would be cool.
When a channel has been around long enough to give you nostalgia. Damn Marques, thank you for all you have done over the years.
I can’t even remember how far back I found MKBHD. I grew up watching him, and my love for tech was encouraged by his passion. Marques is my favorite UA-camr
Do a category based on the end of video alliterations! It’ll be a lot easier, but it’ll be interesting to see how well some of them aged since starting them
I love that the recognition is almost instant for so many of the videos. You can always see how passionate and invested he is in his videos.
Man this brought me back. Made me remember I've been subscribed since 2013 and have watched pretty much all of the videos shown here. Crazy.
Woah, this was so nostalgic! Love the format, should make more!!
10 years from now, this will be part of management cases as to why picking employee #2 is very important and can make or break a company. ❤
More videos like this please! 🙌🏾
Love your videos guys! Keep up the good work! ❤
Wow, I think I remembered like half of these too. A cool trip down memory lane of watching MKBHD for the past decade
This was a very interesting way of introducing viewers to older content. I started watching after July 16th 2018, when Marques collaborated with iJustine to unbox an old iBook G3. I will have to go back and watch some older videos!
This would be great trivia questions for the podcast!
it wouldnt translate for audio listeners
This idea is true fun to watch!
Here is a hint for new category: show a still of a studio shot video and "remove" one prop (at the wall etc.) and ask what would that prop have been ...
Great job Marques! 👏 Please make more 🙌
You should do an audio category! Play a short audio clip and get Marques to guess the video/location/mic used
this is my favorite studio video. thanks andrew. thank you soo much.
That made the video really authentic
Not to mention that Marques really know his videos, too. I really thought I wouldn't get any year right.
Impressive work, Marques! And well done Andrew for preparing the quiz. I'd love to see another one in the future. 😗
Loved this. Would love to see it become a series.
So much fun watching such videos. Great job guys. Would love to see part 2.
I would really want to see a video of the process of how you created the MKBHD team.
Love this fr! Didn't clock how long I've been watching Marques honestly. Thank you all for the work you do!
p.s. special shout out to who ever chose that closing song!
This was super fun to watch!!! Please do another one! ♥
what a fun concept! loved it
Great job - really enjoyed playing along!
I will never forget the first MKBHD video I saw, it was the tesla killers one, and after that I got addicted to the channel😂 love this format btw, congratulations!!
This was so good. Make more of this. Probably do some asking the Studio team to remember stuff about old videos
I’d love to see another with a software category
Strangely enjoyable watching the thought process as it happens.Very fun.
Great video! More of these would be awesome please!
That was so much entertaining. I love it. Do another one, please 🙏.
Love content like this, would love to see more!!! Give Marques multiple choice next time :P
Good Work Marques
I really liked this series. I got the HTC Vive question right that Marques got wrong lol!!!
Does that make me a super fan? 😂😂😂😂
Love this idea!
we definitely need a new one of this. it might even be a series on different aspects of the videos marques produced.
great video and game! let's see if the crew could also recall correctly as well. keep it up guys
cool video guys! keep doing more of this section!
Loved this! And definitely want more :D Would be cool to see a Waveform Podcast sound snippets round maybe???
Man andrew is so talented.
He is genius ❤❤
This was super fun to play along ❤
Shout to Andrew to browse sooooo many videos to got Marques!!!! So impressed😮
omg, I didnt realise but I correctly guesssed almost all the videos lmaoo, not the geography but I could infer the videos almost in seconds, it's been a wild journey haha.. keep it up boys!
That TLD setup man, at 7:06, so nostalgic, wow!!
Fun fact: I actually drive on Electronics Parkway every day to work and there's a side street called Transistor Parkway too. Syracuse NY making it on the channel is crazy to me, let alone that street 😮
i was amazed to hear that too; i have been on those streets, i'm from Utica!
this is a great idea. I just watched the hurricane sandy update video and Marques shouts out his Goolge+. Now I feel old.
24:43 Andrew is right, I forgot about DxOMark and I'm a hobbyist photographer lol
One category idea is adding something into the thumbnail of a video and making Marques guess what was edited in.
Definitely one of the best, I really really enjoyed this one...
first ever MKBHD video I saw was HTC one m7. I bought one, used, based solely on your praise of that phone
That said, before v4.0 ICS, any Android bigger updates that Google deemed worthy of nickname update was in the subversion number. Good times.
This was actually fun! Watched the whole thing
This shows how MKBHD has truely evolved in his video making.
I Live Like 30 Minutes From Syracuse New York, That Would Have Been The Best To Meet Marques. He Seems Genuinely Amazing And Relaxed
Loved it!! How about another one with non-phone related videos?
Give 1-3 props that were in the background of the A roll and he has to name the product that was being spoken about. Having a dope tech related one would be cool too
Marques I'm glad to see you overcoming your sickness!
got the 1000 uploads one immediately. Fun fact one of my cs teachers in high school actually played that video in class to teach us about compression!
I'll never forget the 1000 uploads video 🙃
I feel like a more difficult version of this witj different themed catagories would be best:
Ex:
1. Car videos
2. Retro videos (aka older vids)
3. Robotic stuff videos
4. Collab videos
5. Etc
Loved this video.. Looking forward for more in future..
9:40 I imediatelly yelled "1000 uploads one" lol
This was fun to watch!
Loved the vibes
🙏🙏🙏 MKBHD Signature Move, xD Love from Rwanda
That d-brand packaging style art is dope!
It was actually pretty easy to tell the 6 and the 6S apart because Marques was using and demonstrating the Force Touch feature on the 6S ;)
Legends!
The only takeaway I had from this is bring back the cheerio boxes!!
he wanted 60% and he got it! really enjoyed this kind of video!
As a native of Providence, I’ll never forget the shot where Marques tested 5G for the first time! I couldn’t believe that the 5G node was here
This just shows me how long I’ve been watching this man make videos.
Do you think an audio guess category would be harder or easiest to guess? Like guessing what the video is about from just an audio clip.
I like the life that this channel has
Marques is all about cameras so try to make a category for "Guess which smartphone took this picture" - and to make it a little easier use pictures from the Blind Test that were used in the Blind Test videos! That would be fun 🤣
That honestly sounded fun!
I'd love to see another one. Specifically you could do like all phone stuff or all Apple items, what camera or gear was used.
Love the Bissel Bros shirt! When can we expect The Studio beer tasting vid?
I doubt a beer tasting video, but people do bring some in after they go on vacation.
After a ski trip this year I brought down some Heady Topper and Focal Banger for the non NE people to try out.
That was super fun as a new viewer
I was shocked he didn't get the 1000 uploads. I recognized it instantly!
Marques' video library is effectively his offloaded memories at this point
This was great!
Heh, i remember ask mkbhd v1... time flies. I even had the htc m7 back then too.
12 , my son is 12
interviewer : correct
If this the original comment, you sir are genius!
you guys put future video's easter eggs a lot! So one fun category could be a still frame having easter egg of future video, and guess the current and future video!
Marques made +1.5k videos, cant blame him if he doesnt remember everything
A “finish this sentence” or “what happened next” might be cool
Yassssss P-town. But the cornell visit made me do my work for once there
