Horse and Steam Power at Old Thresher Reunion 2023

Welcome back!
Last weekend I spent a day at the Old Thresher Reunion hosted in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. I had always heard it was a great show, but I was not ready for how nice of a show it would be. With over 100 steam engines on the grounds, several trains circling the show perimeter, and countless hit and miss engines, there were many times where you just didn't know where to turn your attention to. I was very impressed with their horse-powered displays. Six teams worked together to thresh wheat and cut cedar logs, something I had never seen before. I will be back Mount Pleasant, you can count on that!

i started going to that show back in the 80s and you are right you dont know where to look at next with such a wide variety of displays , its been a few yrs since i was there but glad you finally made it up there
