    Man, I love it!!!
    I am impressed and wish I had the skills to build things like this.
    Maybe one day.
    For now I'm learning all the ins and outs of a Shop Sabre CNC machine to cut out cabinets and doors, but I wanna learn how to cut metal and plastics too and make some awesome gear and repurpose old equipment for a challenge.
    Thanks for going over all the little challenges you came across, it really educates me seeing how the machine works and allows me to save ideas on how I might mess with my own future equipment.
    Keep up the great videos.

      Glad you enjoyed it, and glad the details were helpful!
      You can do quite a bit with a couple go-to tools. The right angle grinder gets used a lot! The welder comes in handy. Just dive in, and you will get the hang of them no problem. The biggest thing is safety! I have experienced a metal cut off wheel exploding. Stuff happens. Use the appropriate PPE, and do your best to be safe.

      That is awesome!
      Working as a mechanical engineer has been a great career for me. I’ve enjoyed it.
      I got a later start at it. I joined the army when I was 19. I didn’t start as a mechanical engineer until I was 30!
      And of course, fitness is a life long journey.
      Keep driving toward your goals. You can do it!

    Great detailed video! I thoroughly enjoyed it! That weight stack was a great pick up! I wish I have the tools to assemble something like that!

      Glad you enjoyed it! I always appreciate your support.
      After I got the machine and looked closely at it, I was on the fence with continuing or getting rid of it and the power cage and just getting something new. Glad I pushed through. I enjoyed the build and I will probably use it for a long time. But I’m always keeping my eye out for something different (with a weight stack) that will suit my needs and space better.

    I’m not and engineer school wise. But have found that I love engineering things all the time specially stuff like you’re doing. I enjoy taking things and making them better stronger and more efficient. Anyways great job and this was a fun video to watch.

    The ceramic linear bearing upgrade was so cool! Great idea to plan ahead with the washer to make it all snug and fit. Its disappointing you had to go back to the old bushing

      Yeah, it was disappointing, but it still functions and it gives me something fun to do when I have time to circle back and sort it out.

    Wondering, do you have a good idea to raise the pulley somehow so that the starting point isn’t low or high but mid?
    Also, as in a commercial gym some have that extra pulley above the weight stack which halves the weight because some movements are too heavy 1:1 and adding a pulley would half the resistance. Anything cooking up with regard to this or any ideas?

    • @HowtoandReviewsOfficial
      @HowtoandReviewsOfficial  5 місяців тому

      I would also like to have an adjustable height pulley like at the commercial gyms. It’s something I’ve considered fabricating, and I have some ideas. But I think I’m planning on purchasing a new cage with the features I want at this point.

      @@HowtoandReviewsOfficial I’m a bit torn. I already have a top/bottom/low diy fly attached to the high/low pulley and it works. The innovative rack attachments are coming out for 3x3 though so there’s that. Anything I’ve hated about the cage I’ve changed. It would be nice to get the new lat pulldown instead of having to use a roller though.

    • @HowtoandReviewsOfficial
      @HowtoandReviewsOfficial  5 місяців тому

      @@lawrence09151 I contacted Fitness reality about getting the new revision top components of the lat attachment. They were no help at all. If you want the new version, you will have to buy the whole kit.
      I’m personally still planning to modify mine and install a full size pulley and do it right. When I designed that roller, my goal was something simple and easy that anyone could bolt on and install. No cutting or welding required.
      I have a 3 x 3 attachment that I’m interested in. As long as it’s a one inch hole, you’re good. I was thinking of adding half-inch thick shims inside of the attachment, so it fits the 2 x 2.
      But yeah, at some point, when does it end? And when do you just start over buy something new?
